This restaurant takes lunch reservations in advance, which makes lunchtime more efficient. The seating is in private rooms, so you can enjoy a calm atmosphere. The hot steak arrived within 5 minutes of being seated! The meat was tender and I could enjoy the flavor of Wagyu beef, making me feel elegant even at lunchtime. This time, I visited the Tamba-ya Tsuran North Hanba branch located in the Osaka Exchange underground in Kitahama. The access was very convenient with a direct connection from the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line Kitahama Station, making it easy to reach from the station. I had the Black Wagyu Lean Meat Course with a 150g steak. The course consisted of 5 dishes. The appetizer and organic vegetable salad had a Japanese-style taste, and overall, the course was on the lighter side for a steak lunch course. The hot dish was a hot soup. I enjoyed these first three dishes. The steak sauce was served with rice. There were two types of steak sauce, Japanese and Western, along with salt and wasabi. The main dish was the 150g steak. It had a good volume and was juicy with a nice marbling, typical of A5-ranked Black Wagyu beef. Personally, I found it most delicious when eaten with salt and wasabi. The dessert and iced coffee at the end were also very tasty. The price range is not something that allows for frequent visits, but I was able to enjoy a meal in a private room and would like to visit again with my spouse on another special occasion. Next time, I will try ordering the sirloin or fillet.

Today I had lunch at the Tajimaya Tsunman Kitahama store in Kitahama. It is conveniently connected underground from the north side of Kitahama Station on the subway. The store opens at 11:00, but when I arrived around 11:30, there were few customers and it didn't seem crowded. I chose a private room where you can also sit at the counter. The atmosphere was quite upscale. I had already decided on the menu, so I ordered the Kobe beef sukiyaki bowl for ¥1500. The dish arrived quite quickly, with ingredients like Mitsuba, green onions, and shirataki tofu in a sukiyaki style, with a raw egg yolk in the middle. The taste was sweet, but quite delicious. However, I don't think the beef was Kobe beef. It was thin and not as tender as one would expect from high-grade meat. It felt more like a regular beef bowl made with domestic beef. I wasn't too disappointed though, as I didn't expect Kobe beef at that price. The ambiance was nice, so I might try the steak lunch at the counter next time. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I had lunch at Kitahama. It was directly connected from the station, so I smoothly entered the restaurant. Although I saw some private rooms, I was alone so I was guided to the counter seat. I was happy to be able to see the manager grilling the steak right in front of me, which increased my visual satisfaction. Initially, I was planning to have sukiyaki, but when I saw the teppan grill, I decided to go with steak after all. I chose the lean steak lunch set. There were three choices for the amount: 100g, 120g, and 150g. I chose the middle one. I enjoyed it with onion sauce and grated ponzu. The lean meat changes daily, sometimes it's rump, but on this day it was sirloin. It arrived on the teppan grill with potato and carrot garnish. It was quite substantial. Under the sirloin, there were onions. I think such vegetables, although they are supporting roles, are important for the overall experience. The miso soup with enoki mushrooms was also good, and it went well with the steak. It was delicious. If the quality is consistent like this, then the cost-performance ratio is good.
