"Kichi-Kichi Omurice Regular (2,700 yen)"
The signature dish of the renowned Kichi-Kichi, the omurice. While the usual choice is demi-glace sauce, this time we ordered the omurice with two types of sauce to enjoy - ketchup and special soy sauce cream sauce. The rice is prepared all at once for everyone, and on this day, 11 servings were cooked in one pan. It's quite a challenge to evenly season this amount of rice, but the skilled chef manages to pull it off effortlessly. The rice has a strong flavor similar to fried rice, without the use of ketchup. The ingredients include chicken, onions, mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, and edamame, with a generous amount of ingredients. The rice is seasoned with salt, pepper, and plenty of butter, giving it a buttery flavor at first, followed by a spicy kick from the pepper, making it enjoyable on its own. The omelette is perfectly half-cooked, with a creamy texture. Seasoned only with salt, but due to the ample use of butter in the rice, it is well-seasoned on its own. Moving on to the sauces, the standard demi-glace sauce is light and has a bitter, authentic taste, leaving a refreshing finish. The changed soy sauce cream sauce has a bold soy sauce flavor with a creamy aftertaste, perfectly balancing the flavors. Both sauces complement the richly seasoned rice without clashing. The omurice is designed with a focus on the omelette, rice, and sauces, each with its own unique qualities, showcasing the chef's exceptional skills. It's not just a performance, but a culmination of years of experience in making omurice, resulting in a dish that exudes unparalleled culinary expertise.

"Today's Cream Croquette (1,500 yen)"
The cream croquette of the day was made with pork and nanohana (rape blossoms). Unlike the rich and heavy croquettes often found in Western restaurants, this one was light and refreshing. It was served with the soy sauce cream sauce used in the omurice and tomato sauce, which paired exceptionally well with the mildly flavored croquette, giving it a Kyoto-inspired touch.
