I had bookmarked Ramen Sho as a place I wanted to visit for a long time, but due to the long lines and the fact that it was not on my work route, I never had the chance to go. However, today was a weekday after a long weekend, and the restaurant was conveniently located on my work route according to Google's estimated arrival time of 12:45. So, I decided to go for it. There is no parking at the restaurant, but there is a large coin parking lot across the street. Luckily, there was no wait and I was able to be seated right away. I ordered the "Small Ramen (200g)" for 900 yen, with no garlic and less vegetables. The ramen arrived with a huge chunk of meat, which was a sight to behold. The soup was rich and flavorful, with big pieces of fat that added a nice texture. The noodles were thick and curly, similar to udon, and had a unique chewy texture. As I continued eating, the flavors of the soup soaked into the noodles, making it even more delicious. The thick slices of chashu were a highlight, with a perfect balance of melt-in-your-mouth fat and firm lean meat. I was worried if I could finish it all, but seeing the person next to me order extra everything motivated me to finish every last bit. Thanks to that, I left the restaurant with a full stomach. Ramen Sho is like an attraction - delicious, amazing, and addictive. The staff always greets you warmly when you leave, which is a nice touch. I will definitely be back! Thank you for the meal!

Midnight business hours from 2:00 to 6:00! The long-awaited midnight! At 0:00 on September 24th, there were 7-8 people lined up, and by opening time, there were over 50 people in a long line! By 3:00, there was a tweet saying that the people in line were the last ones... The excitement for the completely new menu at Gyopon can be felt! I had mentioned Gyopon a few times before because I like it, so I was curious to see how it would turn out. Gyopon Ramen (soup only) for 1,100 yen with no toppings and 200g of noodles. With garlic, lots of oil, and a strong flavor of ponzu sauce, it was packed with flavor that didn't lose to the fish powder aroma. For someone like me who loves ponzu sauce, this dish was the best. Compared to the Gyopon I like, this one had a stronger taste of ponzu sauce, truly catering to those who enjoy unique flavors! Also, the chashu pork on this day was incredibly tender and well-prepared! As always, the quality that doesn't make you regret waiting in line for about 2 hours late at night!! If I have the chance to eat Gyopon again, I will definitely go for it... that's how good it was.

On August 23, 2023 (Wednesday) at 11:00 am, I visited this restaurant for the first time. It was my first time, so I arrived early to confirm the location and waited suspiciously like a stranger in the shade behind the graveyard until the opening time. About 5 minutes before opening, one person lined up, and then three more people joined right before opening, so I lined up as the fifth person. It's a popular place, isn't it? I entered as the fifth person and, not knowing what to do, I followed the actions of a regular customer who had entered before me, purchased a meal ticket, took chopsticks, a spoon, and a wet towel, got water, and then sat down to wait for the food to be served. Note: When it's your turn, you will be called, and you can specify your preferences such as garlic, vegetables, and extra back oil. Instead of focusing only on your smartphone, make sure to also observe the movements of the shop owner! First, a raw egg (50 yen) was served, and after a while, the ramen was served in order from the previous customers. I ordered the pork ramen without soup (1,100 yen), specifying no garlic and extra back oil only... but the amount and oil exceeded my expectations, making me nervous. Those from the Showa generation must finish their meals! While struggling with the huge meat lump at the counter... the customers continued to come in without a break in the scorching heat, but with this taste, volume, and price, it's understandable. At least the staff girl is cute, and I'm glad I didn't order the large ramen... it was a lonely lunch for this middle-aged man... Thank you for the meal. On August 29, 2023 (Tuesday) at 11:00 am, I revisited the restaurant! Today, there were two people lined up, and then the third person entered. The young man in front of me said he came from Nagoya. Hmm, maybe he's a famous ramen enthusiast? This person ordered the limited miso ramen with soup (miso + 50 yen). Today is "Meat Day," so I thought about ordering the Meat W Ramen... but I couldn't finish it, so I ordered the ramen (900 yen) with cheese topping (50 yen) and a takeout char siu (1,000 yen). I'm prepared with a cooler bag and ice packs from home♪♪ For dinner, I'll have a char siu bowl at home♪♪ I'll also have a beer as a side dish! As expected, it's a popular ramen shop with explosive portions. The regular ramen had no calls except for extra back oil, but there were two large chunks of pork. It's a volume that can't be underestimated! I was nervous, but I managed to finish it without leaving anything behind. Thank you for the meal. On September 13, 2023 (Wednesday) at 11:00 am, I revisited the restaurant. I was prepared for school to be in session, but it was very crowded! From the first older lady to the young female solo customer, even a rare father with a 2-3-year-old child, the counter seats were suddenly full of people of all ages and genders. When I finished eating and left the restaurant, there were about 10 people waiting in line to enter... Amazing! Since it was my third visit, I learned a little and called for only "more vegetables" to adjust the strong taste and saltiness of the original soupless ramen. The vegetables were boiled and seasoned, so mixing them in created a perfect balance of flavors. I'm gradually becoming a big eater, and the regular size (300g) is starting to feel insufficient... I was nervous, but I managed to finish it properly. Thank you for the meal. On September 21, 2023 (Thursday) around 2:30 pm, I revisited the restaurant. I arrived just in time from the station, worrying about the last order time, but it seemed to be okay until the end of the business hours, so I was relieved. About five more groups entered after me. It seems that there is no problem until just before the end of business hours. I usually order the soupless ramen, but today, since it was right before the end of business hours and I didn't have to rush to leave the seat, I had the "ramen." I asked for no garlic and a little more vegetables, but with the soup, finishing the meal felt quite tough. I managed to finish it somehow without leaving anything and had an early dinner... Ramen Sho, famous for its Jiro-style ramen, is located about a 10-minute walk from Hankyu Ishibashi Hankaidaibyoin-mae Station. Despite being a popular spot, I was able to be seated right away as it was a weekday at 8:00 PM. I ordered the Daio Ramen for 900 yen, with 400g of noodles and extra toppings. The thick noodles in tonkotsu soy sauce broth and the generous and well-cooked chashu were all excellent. I quickly finished my meal before feeling too full. The restaurant is a bit far from the station, but it is surprisingly clean for a Jiro-style ramen shop. I would definitely like to visit again. Please note that there is no parking lot, but a few bicycles can be parked in front of the shop.

I worked overtime for the first time in a while, so I decided to have dinner out. Luckily, I was able to get into Hachijiku without waiting. Worried about tomorrow's work, I ordered my dish with no garlic and extra vegetables. Without the garlic, the natural flavors of the ingredients really stood out and it was incredibly delicious. The pork fat melted in my mouth, adding a lot of flavor. The noodles were also chewy and really good. I might have been able to go for a large size today. I visit this place quite often. Jiro-style ramen... I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I know it can be tough as you get older. However, sometimes I just crave it uncontrollably. In the past, I used to devour the extra-large, double pork with extra everything, but now it might be a bit much (laughs). After much deliberation, I went with the regular size with pork, garlic, and extra everything! Oh man, it was amazing (*´ω`)b. What is this sense of accomplishment? I thoroughly enjoyed the junk food experience. I couldn't finish all the broth, but I managed to eat everything. Thank you for the meal!

It's been a while since I last visited!! I couldn't make it due to various reasons like sudden events. Today, I had the weekday limited miso ramen after a long time. Since I have the next day off, I added extra garlic! 200g, lunch limited miso with extra garlic, extra oil, topped with chopped onions. The richness and umami of the spicy miso were amazing!! This is the best for weekdays!

I added an extra piece of chicken because I haven't fully recovered my health after COVID. I ordered miso ramen with extra vegetables and extra fat. It was no problem eating it, so next time I'll go with extra fat again. The miso flavor here is definitely the best. Surprisingly, there were quite a few women dining here and they all finished their meals!

The parking lot is located across the street at a coin parking lot. It was just past 12 o'clock on a holiday, a time when lines are inevitable, but I was able to slip in without waiting in line. Compared to other Jiro-style ramen shops, this shop was clean and the owner had a pleasant demeanor, which I appreciated.

Open for midnight business on June 11th!! This was my second visit during midnight hours, and this time I lined up 2 hours before opening with high expectations for their miso tsukemen. As the night went on, the line gradually grew, and by midnight, it was a long line... It was a good decision to line up early! I waited eagerly for my turn! While waiting in line, I found out on Twitter that there were toppings of minced onions and seared chashu, which made me even more excited! I entered the restaurant at 1:00 with the first group. I ordered the noodles with 200g of toppings, garlic, and extra fat. I also added the minced onions and seared chashu. The taste exceeded my expectations!! The miso tsukemen had a depth to its flavor, not just the spiciness of the miso, and the aftertaste was amazing! The seared chashu was tender and had a great smoky flavor! Before I knew it, I had finished my meal. The only disappointment was that I only got 200g of noodles. I could easily have eaten 300g of this delicious dish! I hope they offer that option next time too!

It's been about 3 weeks since I had something delicious. Occasionally, it's nice to have Jiro-style ramen when I really feel like it. I wasn't too hungry during lunch, so I ordered with less garlic and no extra vegetables. I enjoyed every bite from start to finish, so maybe it's better not to force myself to order extra toppings. It's been six months since my last visit. The miso here is really delicious. The manager is so friendly that I switched from Sumamichi to Ikeda store. It was delicious again today. I stopped adding extra vegetables and went for more oil instead, making it easier to finish. Thank you for the meal.

This is a so-called Jiro-style ramen shop. The soup and noodles are very traditional and satisfying for Jiro fans. I arrived a little before opening time, but there were already several people waiting outside the shop. The staff were very friendly.

I visited the interesting restaurant "Men Omoshiroi Hito" after a long time. It was a weekday and raining heavily, so there was no line during lunchtime. I had seen on Twitter that they had miso ramen, so I ordered the miso ramen with 300g of noodles plus an extra 50 yen, totaling 950 yen. I asked for garlic and extra vegetables. The spicy miso broth went well with the thick noodles, and the more you chew, the sweeter it gets. The pork was delicious too. I like coming to this restaurant because the ramen here is consistently delicious, and they always give a generous amount of garlic. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a nearby dental clinic for a cleaning every three months, and then decided to stop by this ramen shop. I arrived at the shop at 1:00 PM on a Saturday, and there was only one group waiting outside. I was lucky not to have to wait in line. I bought a ticket for "Large Ramen 900 yen" from the ticket machine inside the shop and joined the line outside. When the staff checked my ticket, I requested 500g of noodles. After waiting outside for 5 minutes, I entered the shop. I ordered with "Extra vegetables, extra garlic, special oil, no green onions, no garlic sprouts, extra noodles, special sauce" and my ramen was served in about 10 minutes. The taste was consistently delicious, with the noodles cooked perfectly to my liking. The texture was firm and the soup was light without a strong pork bone flavor, but the soy sauce from the special seasoning was well-balanced. Today's soup had a noticeable hint of dried fish, possibly from the fish powder used. The broth was light yet flavorful, making it very tasty. The two slices of chashu had a good thickness and a nice chewy texture, with a decent amount of pork flavor. I enjoyed the rich back fat, minced garlic, and chili pepper for flavor variation and finished every last bit. Although I have only tried the original "Ramen Jiro" once at the Kyoto branch, this inspired shop serves up a delicious bowl of ramen. I would definitely go back if I crave it again. I usually order soupless ramen at Ramen Jiro. The soupless ramen here was milder compared to other Ramen Sho branches (Rekishi, Chikyuu Kibo). When I crave something more junky, Rekishi no Kizame's soupless ramen is the best option.

Today, I tried the limited edition ginger oil at the restaurant! I ordered the 200g pork bone broth noodles with garlic, and added the ginger oil. When I first added the ginger oil, the flavor was very strong and unique! However, as I continued eating, the ginger flavor seemed to fade. Maybe it's better without the oil? Overall, it was refreshing compared to the usual, but compared to other limited editions, it felt a bit lacking...

It was raining in the morning, so I decided to visit the restaurant that offers miso sauce only on rainy days. When I arrived around 7:30 pm, there was a line outside... I waited for almost an hour to get inside! By that time, the ramen had almost sold out! I was just in time. I ordered with 200g of noodles, extra garlic, less vegetables, extra fat, and added some spice. The addictive flavor of the miso sauce was incredible! The richness of the miso was perfect, and it went really well with the soupless noodles. The portion size was just right, but I think it would have been even more enjoyable with extra vegetables! I definitely want to come back when it's raining again.

Despite it being Saturday afternoon, there was unexpectedly no wait at all! I had just finished at the dentist, so I had calculated my wait time for the anesthesia to wear off, but I didn't have to wait at all, haha. I savored the happiness of being able to eat without waiting, and as I waited, three large slices of pork with a strong presence arrived. Even though the right half of my mouth had no feeling due to the anesthesia, I could still eat the tender pork. The noodles and soup were excellent as always. I ordered extra garlic, extra vegetables, extra fat, and extra spice. They mentioned that the miso flavor had been slightly changed, but I decided to go with the default ramen.

I visited the restaurant on a weekday around 12 PM. Luckily, I was able to get in right away. I was planning on ordering a regular ramen, but they had a topping of fish powder available today. Even luckier! I ordered 200g of soupless ramen with fish powder topping, garlic, extra pork belly, and chili pepper. The flavor of the fish powder was strong and went really well with the soupless ramen. I think I found a new favorite dish!
