It's my first time trying Lebanese cuisine! The restaurant is located about a 10-minute walk from Gojo Station in Kyoto, along the picturesque Takase River. Although there is no big sign, you can spot it by the line of people waiting to get in. Upon entering, you receive an explanation of the menu and then take your seat. The most popular dish, the Chicken and Falafel Mix, is ordered. It seems to be a signature dish with chickpeas, fava beans, herbs, and plenty of spices in the falafel. I heard that it pairs well with craft beer, so I ordered an IPA. Here's how you eat it: spread the two sauces on the pita bread (which is shaped like a bag), then fill it with falafel, smoked chicken, pickles, rice, and more, and take a big bite. Mmm, delicious! It's a tasty meal that your body will appreciate. The line in front of the restaurant makes sense now. I also got the Smoked Cannele, which is baked with milk infused with the aroma of firewood, to take home.

I stayed nearby and had breakfast here. They serve breakfast from 8 am. I recommend making a reservation as it may be necessary. The interior of the restaurant is stylish. You sit at large tables, but it doesn't feel crowded. It was my first time trying Lebanese cuisine, and it was easy to eat and delicious. The breakfast may be a bit expensive, but considering the atmosphere, taste, and uniqueness, it was worth it. The service was very friendly, and they even escorted me to the door when I left, engaging in pleasant conversation. It was a delightful breakfast. Thank you.

I discovered a stylish Lebanese restaurant during my lunch break from the 1000-day pilgrimage at Kiyomizu-dera Temple and decided to visit. It was my first time trying Lebanese cuisine. The style was to sandwich colorful vegetables and chicken in pita bread. I ordered an iced coffee, but it tasted like a pre-made one. The seating consisted of one large stone table and a counter. The close proximity to the counter where the food was being prepared made me feel uncomfortable. It was nice to try the unique Lebanese cuisine. Thank you for the meal.

I made a morning reservation and visited the restaurant, but there was still a wait, so it's better to go early. The staff were friendly and explained everything well. I ordered a mixed plate of falafel and smoked chicken, along with a drink and banana cake with ice cream for dessert. The plate was delicious! You can mix and match the items yourself, but it always turns out tasty. The banana cake was hot, cold, and gooey, and really delicious. I want to go back again!

Lebanese cuisine stumbled upon this place and was intrigued. They incorporate bamboo charcoal into their pita bread, which makes it delicious. The main dishes and sides are all tasty. Their fruit and spice drinks are also good. The presentation and atmosphere are great, and the staff is wonderful. Extremely delicious. I really liked it. I would definitely visit regularly if it were in my area.

I visited a Lebanese restaurant for the first time in my life. The interior of the restaurant had a high ceiling, allowing the sunlight to come in, giving it a foreign feel. Today's menu was Heartland Chicken with Falafel and Herb Mousse. The falafel was shaped like meatballs, made from a mixture of chickpeas and herbs, then deep-fried. The grey pita bread was charcoal-fired in a wood oven for color. The pita bread is filled with vegetables and chicken. It has a unique taste with spices like cumin, similar to Indian curry, but different - this is Lebanese cuisine. The herb mousse dessert had a refreshing aroma that lingered in the nose. I would like to visit this restaurant again when I come to Kyoto. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I was unsure if the portion size would be enough at first, but I ended up feeling full after loading up my pita bread with lots of toppings. The pineapple soda mix was also delicious and satisfying. I would love to go back if I can make a reservation.

This is a story from a little while ago, but there was a Lebanese restaurant that became a topic after appearing on TV. I went a little early and my friend lined up for me, so we were able to enter. They have a system where you order when you enter and pay in advance. The menu is not extensive, but it's better to do some research beforehand. The dishes are visually appealing with lots of vegetables, perfect for Instagram. It was mostly women at the restaurant. The food is healthy, with vegetables as the main focus and skillful use of spices and herbs. The style is to mix everything on the plate together. You spread chickpea sauce and soybean and garlic sauce on pita bread, then fill it with spicy and tangy ingredients before eating. It's delicious and trendy. The black pita bread is made with vegetable scraps charred and mixed into the dough, showing consideration for food waste. The restaurant has large tables where you may have to share with others. During the day, they don't turn on the lights inside the restaurant (it was quite dark due to rain on that day), so it's not ideal for a leisurely lunch. If you're interested in Lebanese cuisine, I recommend giving it a try!

What is it? Where was it? When I searched, Lebanon is a very beautiful country in the Middle East. You sit around a large stone table at the back of the shop, facing other customers as if you were at a dining table. It didn't bother me much. There were many foreign customers. English is spoken. They even charged the phone of a foreigner whose battery was running low. They didn't skimp on the tiny electricity cost. Arrived at 13:00, was the third group. Waited about 10-20 minutes to enter. The service was extremely polite and friendly. The explanation was a bit fast, but it was fine. They spread two types of sauce on the inside of the bread, stuffed it with ingredients little by little, and ate it. It was delicious.

It's really hard to make a reservation here, and you might end up having breakfast with strangers at the same table (we were surrounded by five Korean ladies). The food is elaborate and tasty, but it's a one drink minimum and if you opt for a mixed plate, it can cost around 1800 yen, making it a breakfast close to 2500 yen.

★Location: Located on the outskirts of the former entertainment district of Gojo Rakuen, along the Takase River. The nearest station is Keihan "Kiyomizu Gojo". If you go to Kiyomizu, I recommend exploring places like the former Nintendo headquarters hotel Marufukurou. ★Atmosphere: Stylish atmosphere with a choice of sitting at the counter or a large shared table. It operates on a one dish + one drink system, so the cost can exceed 2,000 yen. It's a bit disappointing that there are not individual tables. The ceiling is all windows for natural light, making it bright on sunny days. They only use lighting at night. Additionally, there is a glass wall that shows the structure of one side of a row of three houses in the middle. The entrance is decorated with a chumaki from the Gion Festival of "Takayama". ★Food: I had the breakfast mixed plate for 1,800 yen, warm pomegranate juice for 600 yen, and a takeout canelé for 400 yen, totaling 2,800 yen (tax included). The restaurant is said to be run by someone who worked at a Michelin-starred French restaurant. The dishes are beautifully presented and delicious. However, the final touch of assembling your own pita bread affects the visual appeal and taste balance. ★Clientele: There were many Asian foreign tourists.

I arrived at the restaurant right at 11:00 AM opening time and it was immediately full. The style is to order and pay at the entrance. The menu was unfamiliar to me, but the staff kindly explained it. The drinks were served quickly after ordering, and I got to experience Lebanese cuisine. It was a healthy meal that I could enjoy without feeling guilty, and I felt like eating it every day would make my body and mind feel beautiful. Both the food and drinks were delicious ^^ The staff were not wearing masks and it was a shared seating style, so if you are concerned, please be careful.

This area has a relatively quiet residential atmosphere, but there is a Lebanese restaurant that opened last year along the Kamo River side of Kiyamachi Street. I had been curious about it for a while and finally had the opportunity to visit. It is quite rare for a Middle Eastern cuisine restaurant to open early in the morning, but Middle Eastern cuisine is known for its healthy image, using a lot of vegetables for religious reasons. The restaurant staff mentioned that they wanted to offer breakfast from the beginning. The popularity of the restaurant seems to have been more about the interior design and presentation of the dishes being a topic of conversation on social media rather than the taste of Middle Eastern cuisine. Breakfast restaurants have been popular in Kyoto for a long time, and it is common to see lines forming before opening time at popular restaurants, but here, some people also line up seeking slots without reservations. Reservations are basically made through DM on Instagram from 8:00 am three days before, but it seems that reservations quickly fill up on weekends, making it difficult to visit without a reservation. You are allowed to visit freely until 9:00 am, but if you arrive at 8:00 am, there are only a few customers. As it approaches 9:00 am, more and more people start to arrive, and even those with reservations start to line up outside the restaurant. There are non-vegetarian menu options with chicken, but most people seem to order the mixed option. While sipping on hot pomegranate juice, you watch the dishes being prepared in front of you as you wait. The dishes are generously stuffed between hot black pita bread. It truly has a Middle Eastern vibe. The ingredients are packed quite firmly, but there was a bit left over, so I nibbled on it as it is. After the meal, I tried the popular canelé. They are also sold frozen, and many people seem to buy them. The canelé is served warm, with a crispy outer layer. The inside is not as moist and melty as custard or pudding, but more like a sponge cake. I thought there could be some room for improvement in this area. The system is to order and pay at the entrance when entering the restaurant, but additional orders for drinks after the meal are possible.

I was recommended by a friend and was looking forward to going! First of all, the atmosphere was so stylish... I was excited for my first Lebanese cuisine experience. Everything was delicious... The drinks were also very unique and all tasty. It's not cheap, but I highly recommend this restaurant for you to visit at least once. I will definitely go again!

Visited on Sunday around 12 noon. I thought there might be a line, but I was able to enter right away. First, I placed my order and paid. The staff kindly explained the menu and recommended drinks to go with the dishes. It seems to be a one drink per person policy. While listening to the explanation, a couple of groups lined up behind me, so I timed it well. There was seating at the counter and one long table. When the food was brought to the table, they explained how to eat it. They suggested eating it balanced, sandwiched between bread. The plate had chicken, potatoes, pickles, and some sauce. It's hard to explain, but it was delicious and I didn't get tired of it until the end. You can also get seconds of the bread.

I had the pleasure of learning from Chef Takamatsu of Arinue, a French restaurant in Nagoya. In Kyoto's Shimogyo Ward, there is a Lebanese cuisine restaurant. To enjoy their morning menu, you must make a reservation via Instagram DM three business days in advance, as they only serve the first 20 customers. The mix plate of falafel and chicken, along with a cordial drink of mango lime or Korean chili pepper, was served. At the back, there was a long table reminiscent of a last supper, where we enjoyed a warm butternut squash soup and a variety of vegetables with smoked chicken and freshly fried falafel stuffed in charcoal pita bread. It was a delightful experience to chat with the chef, who had a robust physique like Matsumoto Hitoshi and a charming smile. I definitely want to visit again!

I had a lunch of chicken and beef, and I got so full! It was delicious! After eating, I walked a lot but never felt hungry again. I even hesitated to go into a cafe for tea because I wanted to eat again soon. I wonder how many times I'll go back this year...

Stylish atmosphere and cute-looking dishes. The taste is average. However, the cost performance is not great. For this price, I would expect a more impressive level of taste. Also, I was a bit concerned as there were many COVID-19 cases and the chefs were cooking without masks, right in front of the counter.

The grey house standing along the riverbank, transformed into an excellent dish, is a sophisticated space with a big table in the back. It is interesting to enjoy Lebanese cuisine in such an unexpected environment. The Smoked Chicken and Falafel Mix Morning dish is beautifully presented with smoked chicken, falafel, colorful vegetables, and hummus served on charcoal pita bread. The smoked chicken is moist and sweet, the falafel is rustic and spicy, and the chopped vegetables provide a crunchy texture. The hummus made from soybean paste and tomatoes adds a creamy and rich flavor, all wrapped in a soft pita bread. It was a healthy morning meal that felt like a purification for the body. The total cost for this meal, including a pomegranate soda, was 2400 yen per person. This popular Lebanese restaurant opened in May 2021. Morning orders must be placed three business days in advance, with a limit of 20 servings. The Smoked Chicken and Falafel Mix Morning dish costs 1800 yen, with an additional charge for the pomegranate soda. Thank you for the delicious meal, found on Instagram!
