Dinner was at Tsuru Tontan. The broth is delicious, the udon itself is also tasty, and personally, I think it's the best in Osaka. Today I had a simple "niku udon". First, I took a sip of the broth. It's full of flavor, with a nice aroma. Delicious. The beef is simmered in a sweet and savory sauce. I wish I had some rice to go with this. The chewy udon noodles are also excellent. I enjoyed my meal today as well. Thank you for the meal.

After getting a massage, I wanted to eat something warm and feel cozy, so I went to the Sohontan restaurant in Muneemon-cho. I ordered the 1.5 servings of beef loin shabu-shabu udon (without mitsuba). This is my favorite menu at Tsurutontan because the meat is delicious! The udon noodles are thick and chewy, and it seems like they are boiled slightly firm at first? They become just right as you eat. The green onions also add a nice touch. The broth is refreshing and delicious, warming both my heart and body. It was a very pleasant experience. It was crowded, and I had to wait for about thirty minutes, but when I paid and was leaving, the staff apologized for the wait, which was very considerate. Such thoughtfulness makes me want to come back again. Thank you for the meal.

This time, we decided to end our drinking session here! We arrived after 10 PM and waited for about 20 minutes before being seated at a table towards the back. There were many tourists, so there is always a line... but we couldn't resist coming here! The plum udon we ordered this time had thin noodles! It was nice to be able to choose the thickness of the noodles, and it's great that you can get up to 3 servings for free. I finished it all in no time.

I underestimated the number of foreign tourists during lunchtime, but I couldn't resist my love for spicy cod roe and egg over rice. The hot broth was so delicious that I drank it all up. The broth turned into a sauce with the egg and spicy cod roe, making it incredibly tasty. I also like the cold broth that is only available in summer. I want to go back soon.

Popular among foreigners!! Tsurutontan Udon offers a wide variety of choices, making it difficult to decide. I love cold mentaiko udon, but I also can't resist creamy options. I want to enjoy the broth and curry as well. That's why the indulgent Tsuruton Sanpo Curry set, with tempura and yamakake, is perfect for me. You can choose the amount and thickness of the noodles from the touch panel!

I went before 9:00 PM and only had to wait for about 2 groups before being seated right away! I tried the limited menu item until the end of August, the "Cold Udon with Spicy Cod Roe Carbonara." The udon noodles had a great firmness to them! The flavor was rich with a sauce that tasted like spicy cod roe and egg tartar. It was delicious. I ordered one portion, and it was more than enough to fill me up! (By the way, one portion is apparently 260g, and my friend struggled with two portions haha) By the time we left, there was already quite a line forming!!

On a holiday morning, I visited the restaurant with my family. The location is on the left side after crossing Nihonbashi when going north on Sakaisuji Street from the Nihonbashi 1 intersection. It is a well-known brand even in the Kanto region. The closing time on weekends (Friday and Saturday) is the next day at 8 a.m. We came for breakfast, but it seems like there will definitely be customers for the hot udon noodles as well. If you've been drinking continuously the night before, it might be tough, but for those who are in the nightlife business, this time might still be early. With these thoughts in mind, we entered the restaurant. We were guided to a table in the back after stating the number of people. The restaurant was about 60% full. There were no loud people (obviously drunk). However, since there were many young customers, it seemed like people who came from the night before. Orders were taken via tablet. They asked about toppings and whether you wanted extra noodles as you progressed through the options. I ordered the Cold South High Plum Udon for 1,280 yen, with thick noodles (normal), 1.5 servings, and no toppings. The 1.5 servings were free (I think 2 servings were also free). Tableware was set up during the process, and additional broth was prepared since it came with shaved ice. It took about 12 minutes until it was served. It was a simple dish of cold soba with grated radish and South High Plum (with shaved ice). Let's eat. The broth didn't have a strong dashi flavor (I also felt this when I had hot broth at another restaurant in Tokyo). Maybe it's because it's cold, but the impression was straightforward. The udon noodles were firm and didn't have a chewy texture. Since it was cold, it became a bit harsh towards the end. How was it? It's a popular restaurant, but I didn't find it very appealing. Especially considering the price is not reasonable. However, the fact that they are open at this time is very helpful. Thank you for the meal.

This is a popular udon restaurant among foreign tourists, always with long lines. It is located along the Dotonbori River and open until morning, so you can avoid the crowds by going at different times. I ordered the "yama-kake udon." The udon noodles were firm and smooth, very delicious. Orders are placed using a touchscreen panel.

I went to a udon restaurant with my family late at night. It was a popular spot with many tourists, specializing in udon noodles, but the taste was just average. We also ordered shaved ice, which took 25 minutes to arrive for the first one, and 40 minutes for the second one. When I mentioned that we hadn't received our order yet and asked to cancel, they said they were working on it and to please wait. It took another 10 minutes from that point. When I visited again after a long time, I noticed that both the taste and the customer service had declined compared to before. The advantage is that they are open until morning, so if you are traveling, I recommend trying it at least once.

The accompanying noodles were delicious! I didn't know about any good ramen or udon places that I don't usually eat at, so I was at a loss. I went to Sōemon-chō and was in a one-kyū-san (one-point) situation. Crunch... crunch... crunch... ding... Ah, memories of my teenage years came flooding back. I only know about this place. I went around 1:30 and it was full!? Seriously!? No matter how many years pass, it's always packed whenever I go. Amazing! I've never had udon at Tsurutontan before. Now that I'm taking a break from my low-carb diet, it's the perfect time to have udon. I tried the half portion of thin noodles with mentaiko cream udon. The soup was so delicious, I was satisfied with just that. The noodles were so chewy! How was it? Did you like it? Was it delicious? The mentaiko cream soup was so overpowering that I couldn't really taste the rest. The person next to me was eating katsu curry udon and was raving about it, so it was definitely worth going. I had it late at night, but I didn't feel any fatigue the next day, so even though it's carbs, it gets a high rating. Thank you for your follow, likes, and comments. I'm currently pregnant, so I'm taking a break from "eating to lose weight" and enjoying my maternity gourmet life. Please continue to support me.

I arrived a little after 6:30 pm and was able to be seated right away without waiting! The seating area was spacious and comfortable once I went down the stairs. I ordered the chicken cream udon with 2 servings since the price was the same. I usually eat a lot, but even I was full after finishing it. Maybe 1.5 servings would have been just right. When I left the restaurant, there was already a line forming!

I visited the restaurant at night and chose a simple kombu udon because I wasn't very hungry. I chose thick noodles, which had a strong texture and a light Kansai-style broth. The person I went with ordered thin noodles and said they were easy to break. The atmosphere was nice, the prices were reasonable, but I'm not sure if I would line up again just to eat there.

Taste: ◯ Atmosphere: ◯ (You can see a river and boats from the window.) Cost performance: △ (Cost performance is average, slightly on the higher side due to being a tourist spot. Overall, it's okay.) Both the mentaiko cream udon and beef tendon curry udon were delicious. However, it's a shame that you have to wait in line as it seems to be a popular restaurant.

"Tsuru Tsuru Tonton Tantan" is consistently delicious. I wish they would bring back the curry udon with different spice options that they used to have. I prefer thicker udon noodles over thin ones. It's fun to have a variety of options to choose from at this restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

As a native of Kagawa Prefecture, I never used to eat udon outside the prefecture, but I wanted to try it here at least once!! It was a Friday, so it wasn't too crowded during lunchtime. It was hot, so I chose cold mentaiko udon and could choose between thick and thin noodles. I couldn't estimate the portion size, so I went with thick noodles... You could also choose the amount of noodles, which was nice. The noodles were thicker than I expected, so I think thin noodles would have been better. I'm not a fan of spicy food, so the spiciness from the mentaiko was a bit much for me. The noodles had a good texture. The salmon sushi rolls were bite-sized and good!! As someone picky about udon, this was delicious udon that I would definitely come back for.

I finally visited the long-awaited Tsurutontan (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡! At first, I thought of getting the mentaiko udon, but I changed my mind after seeing the menu on the table. I ended up ordering the cold carbonara udon. It was delicious with plenty of summer vegetables.

I visited for the third time and as always, I ordered the reliable mentaiko ankake udon! It's my favorite menu item. I haven't tried anything else. It's always crowded but I was able to get in quickly! The atmosphere in the lower tatami seating area was nice, and there were many foreigners.

This is my first time writing a review. There were more people I didn't know than I expected, but at Tsurutontan, you can get up to 3 extra servings for free. Although the price is high, when you can increase it up to 3 servings, it seems worth it. As for the taste, if asked if it's exceptionally delicious, I would say it's average. Honestly, I don't understand why people line up to eat here. But the variety of udon choices always makes it hard to decide. This time, we decided to share among 3 people and chose motsu, mentaiko cream, and katsu curry. When we made all of them 3 servings, we ended up really full. But it was the first time I felt satisfied after eating so much. I also tried udon pon for the first time, and the soup had a sweet and gentle dashi flavor, and the udon pon was delicious like water dumplings! After overeating and feeling uncomfortable, we took a break and were told by the staff to give up our seats since it was crowded. There is no time limit, but due to the constant line, it might actually be about a 2-hour limit. Even though we arrived just before 5 p.m., we waited for about 20 minutes.

Customers were lined up outside the restaurant, and once inside, it was very spacious with various tables and seating options. The staff efficiently guided customers to their tables and took orders. There were many types of udon to choose from, such as nabe-yaki udon and tantan udon. The portions and flavors were both excellent.

When it comes to Tsurutontan, I went there only once a long time ago and I thought it was a bit pricey for what you get. It's nice that they are open until morning. I visited in the early morning and it was packed with customers! It's amazing to see this many people at this time! It feels like a place for people in the nightlife industry to relax after work. The system for ordering is through a touch panel. Kitsune Udon - 880 yen. Tsurutontan is known for its creative and various types of udon, but after trying many dishes, I decided to go for the comforting Kitsune Udon. First, I slurped the udon. It had a nice chewy texture and was delicious! Wait, was the udon here always this good? The broth was also great! It really warmed me up inside. The large piece of fried tofu was impressive too! It's a bit pricey, but for this quality of udon at this time of day, I can see why it's popular. The sashimi of sea bream was also chewy and better quality than many izakayas. I made a mistake though, I found out later that up to 3 servings of udon were free, but I noticed it after I finished eating. Damn it! That's the end.

I used GW! As always, it's a popular restaurant so there was a line. I waited for about 30 minutes and finally got inside where we were seated in the underground tatami room. The high cushions were comfortable for sitting. We all ordered different types of udon, and whether it was with broth, cold, or hot, the udon noodles had a nice firm texture. You can also choose between thin or thick noodles to suit your preference. You can also choose between 1, 2, or 3 servings of udon, so you can adjust the portion size. I had the "yama-kake" udon, and the broth was just right, not too strong. The large bowl is like a symbol, but it's not just flashy, it's actually delicious. It's a great place to visit in Osaka, but it's always busy. Still, it's a great place to enjoy a meal with friends!
