This time, based on the reviews of reviewers, I stopped by "Shiretoko Satomi" for the first time! I visited around 11:20 on Saturday and it was not crowded, so I was able to sit down right away! The interior of the restaurant was quite spacious with many seats at the counter and tables! There were also many families dining there! The parking lot was also very spacious! There were many celebrity autographs at the entrance, which raised my expectations! I ordered the recommended dish for my first visit based on reviews! "Shiretoko Tsubu Clam Tempura Cold Soba with Dipping Sauce ¥1,000" arrived in about 10 minutes!! Wow - the Shiretoko Tsubu clam tempura stands out in the center and has a big impact!! It also came with a small dish, so I decided to enjoy half of it as it is before pouring the soba broth, and the other half with Okhotsk natural salt! I sprinkled some natural salt on the soba and tried it, and the flavor of the soba was very rich, and the texture was excellent and delicious! Even when I poured the soba broth, it was incredibly delicious! The grated radish was a refreshing touch and also delicious! Above all, the tempura with Tsubu clam was incredibly delicious! You can enjoy the crunchy texture, and the sweetness of the onions and vegetables was strong and delicious! It's also great that you can enjoy cold soba with tempura topped with Tsubu clam for only a thousand yen! To finish, I also enjoyed the rich and creamy soba broth! I quickly and deliciously finished my meal! You should definitely try the tempura with Tsubu clam! Thank you for the information! It was very delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I had a delicious meal of Tsubu and Ebi Kakiage Donburi with a side of cold soba after a long time! The crunchy texture of Tsubu and the umami of Ebi were excellent! When in Shari, I always make sure to try the local flavors, and this time was no exception. I wonder when I'll be able to go again.

The perfect way to end a trip to the Tohoku region is here. Starting at the point where the road leads to the heavens, if you follow that road straight down, you will arrive at this restaurant. I checked out on Tabelog the shrimp and vegetable tempura soba. The texture of the shrimp is delicious and the soba has a tasty broth.

During a drive at lunchtime, I searched on Tabelog for a nice place to eat and found this place. I had the mixed clam and shrimp tempura rice bowl. The tempura tower was so voluminous that I was very full after eating it.

I couldn't decide between the daily lunch special and decided to splurge since I came all the way here. It cost three times more than my usual lunch, but it was worth it. The selection included ikura, uni, salmon, octopus, and other top-notch ingredients. I was able to recover the investment with the surplus of deliciousness. I'm satisfied.

This is a local cuisine restaurant located at the entrance to Shiretoko during a trip to Hokkaido. It was recommended by a local. I ordered the specialty dish of kakiage-don with two pieces of tsubugai (whelk) in it. It arrived promptly. The dish was a bit too heavy and I felt like my stomach might not handle it well, but it was a delicious local cuisine with a good balance, as expected from their signature dish. They also offer other dishes like Shiretoko-produced tokishirazu (rockfish) and hokke (Okhotsk atka mackerel) set meals, soba, etc. It's a recommended place to relax and enjoy while savoring the food.

I visited the restaurant on Monday around 1 pm. When I arrived, there were about 2 tour buses parked, but I was able to enter smoothly as a group was just leaving. I ordered the soba noodles with crushed clam tempura, with extra noodles. It was a bit disappointing that the tempura was a little oily and sticky.

I ordered the mixed clam and shrimp tempura cold soba. Previously, it was only clam, but now shrimp has been added. It is a bukkake soba with two large pieces of tempura on top. The tempura looked so delicious that I couldn't help but take a bite before taking a picture. The clam was soft and the shrimp added a nice flavor, it was very tasty. I really like the soba here. The broth has a nice flavor with a hint of bonito. The last sip of soba water was rich and delicious as well. There are many delicious soba restaurants in Shari, but perhaps it's because of the delicious water from Mount Shari.

I visited around lunchtime (11:10) on a regular day. I sat at the counter seat and ordered the "Shiretoko Locally Caught Fish Sashimi Set Meal" for ¥1,320 from the limited spring and autumn menu, as well as the "Tsubu and Shrimp Tempura" for ¥880. The Shiretoko-caught fish was thick and delicious, with a sweet taste!

The deep-fried scallop bowl from Shiretoko is exquisite! Satisfying in volume, texture, and sauce flavor. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is like a traditional house, making you feel like you want to stay there forever. Located at the entrance to the World Heritage Site Shiretoko, be sure to try it out.

I had been curious about this restaurant. It seemed popular among locals and was quite crowded. I ordered the Tsubu Kakiage Donburi (fried mixed grains bowl) regular for 880 yen and the daily sashimi set for 1,150 yen. The sashimi included Spanish mackerel, cherry salmon, and octopus. The staff explained everything carefully. The dish had fried tofu and okara with a spicy oil-like sauce. The portion of rice was generous. The cherry salmon seemed to have been thawed from frozen, with a certain taste and texture. It was my first time trying Spanish mackerel. The Kakiage Donburi was also delicious. With so many menu options, I will definitely come back when I'm in this area.

I visited the restaurant for the first time during lunchtime (11:50). The restaurant is located along the R244 highway and is spacious inside. They offer a variety of dishes, with soba being a specialty. I had a hard time deciding what to order, but ended up choosing the recommended "tsubu no kakiage" for ¥780 and the "Gin-garei miso-yaki teishoku" made with Shiretoko brand certified ingredients for ¥1,350. Both dishes were delicious, but the Gin-garei was especially tasty.

On the way to Shiretoko, we stopped in Shari for a meal. I was in the mood for meat rather than seafood, so around 7 pm, I searched for a restaurant and visited one. Although I was curious about other menu items, I ordered the pork bowl. The meat was flavorful and thick, providing a satisfying meal! I finished it all in no time. The restaurant was filled with many signs.

Located in Shari-cho, Shiretoko, the restaurant "Shiretoko Satomi" offers soba, seafood bowls, and grilled dishes. I enjoyed the Shiretoko-caught tsubu clam tempura, which was both delicious and visually appealing. This restaurant focuses on local ingredients, and I recommend it for its ability to serve up tasty local produce. The tempura tsubu clam bowl in a generous portion was priced at 980 yen. The texture of the clam and the rich sauce were delightful. The rice was moist and delicious. The appearance is striking and the taste is good, so it's definitely worth trying. The Warm Tororo Soba for 880 yen is made from a blend of soba flour from Shari-cho and Kiyosato-cho. They use spring water from Lake Un to make the soba fresh every day. It was smooth and easy to eat. For soba, I recommend trying a specialty shop. Overall, seafood dishes are the way to go at this restaurant.

During a charging trip in Shari, we had lunch at a local restaurant. We tried the famous deep-fried tsubu (whelk), Hokkaido soba, and my son had the Shiretoko chicken cutlet curry. Everything was delicious, especially the Hokkaido soba which was firm and tasty. The curry was also amazing.

This restaurant in Shari Town is popular for its soba and seafood dishes. Located along National Route 244, in a traditional Japanese-style single-story building. It is on the opposite side of the Rals Mart Shari store. The restaurant has been featured in various media such as Team Nacs' travel show and Degawa's electric bike travel show. Their specialty is the "Tsubu no Kakiage Soba." The interior has counter seats, a large room, and a total of 86 seats, creating an open and spacious atmosphere. They offer a variety of menus that focus on local ingredients. You can enjoy dishes like "Local Seafood Bowl" and "Shiretoko-produced Cherry Salmon Lui-be Marinated Bowl," showcasing the flavors of Shiretoko. They also have a wide range of set meals, catering to meat lovers with dishes like Abashiri Chicken Cutlet Curry and Hamburg Steak. From 4:30 pm, you can also enjoy izakaya menus and seafood charcoal grilling. The "Shiretoko-produced Tsubu no Kakiage Cold Soba" costs around ¥1000 for a regular size, and ¥1150 for a large size. It looks impressive, with two large tsubu no kakiage on top of the country-style soba. Pour the tempura dipping sauce, Okhotsk sea salt, and soba broth over the soba as you like. I personally moved the tempura to a separate plate and enjoyed the soba with the dipping sauce. The flavor and texture of the tsubu no kakiage among the plenty of vegetables were incredibly delicious. The soba is short and refreshing, made from a blend of two types of locally produced soba flour. The flavor of grated daikon and bonito broth enhances the soba, making it easy to eat. Finally, I settled my stomach with soba broth. Overall, the tsubu no kakiage is unique and delicious. It's fascinating to try things that can only be eaten here or during a specific season. The limited-time tsubu no kakiage curry also looks delicious.

Located along National Route 244 in Shari Town, Hokkaido, this dining establishment accepts a wide range of cashless payments and offers several sunken kotatsu-style seating areas in a clean and spacious interior. The menu features many local specialties, including the seasonal Chishirazu salmon, which is usually found upstream in the fall but can be caught in the sea out of season. I ordered the Chishirazu salt-grilled set meal for 1,380 yen, and it was absolutely delicious. The grilled Chishirazu fillet, cooked to a crispy finish, had a rich, fatty flavor that was enhanced by the combination of mountain wasabi miso, grated daikon radish, and soy sauce. The skin was also incredibly tasty, and the overall experience was truly delightful.

On the way back from Nemuro City, I arrived in Shari Town around 11 o'clock. I saw a curtain hanging outside a restaurant, so I decided to stop by. I parked my car in the front parking lot and entered the restaurant. Inside, a female staff member asked, "Are you dining alone? Please sit at the counter." I sat at the counter and looked at the menu. I wanted something warm, so I ordered the "Warm Ebi-Ten Soba." While waiting, I looked around the dimly lit restaurant. After about 5 minutes, the "Warm Ebi-Ten Soba" was served. Surprisingly, it came with two small and thin shrimp tempura, along with green pepper and eggplant tempura. The shrimp tempura was small, and the green pepper and eggplant were a bit overwhelming. I took a sip of the broth, which was slightly salty with a hint of acidity. As for the soba, it was soft and clumped together in a ball shape, like it had been overcooked or made the day before. Overall, it was disappointing. Thank you for the meal. Goodbye.

I moved about 50km from the lake to Shari and entered a soba restaurant along the highway. The restaurant was spacious with a relaxed atmosphere. It was featured on the TV show "Can I Charge Here?" I was seated in a tatami room and ordered the recommended specialty, Special Soba with Cold Tempura. It included the famous crushed tempura. The soba noodles were thick with a satisfying texture and decent flavor. The tempura consisted of crushed tempura, 2 shrimp tempura, and green pepper tempura. The menu photos looked better than the actual dishes, but the crushed tempura had a good texture and flavor in each bite. However, it lacked the hearty feel typical of Hokkaido cuisine. If I visit again, I might try the crushed tempura rice bowl.

This shop is located in Shari-cho, Hokkaido. Their recommended dish is kakiage with salmon roe! Even though I don't usually eat salmon roe, it is included in the kakiage. I ordered the cold soba with kakiage. It arrived in about 10 minutes. There are two small kakiage on top of the soba. It comes with tempura dipping sauce, so you can eat the kakiage with the sauce if you like! The kakiage is not 100% salmon roe, as onions are also included. The salmon roe provides a nice texture when you bite into it.

A few minutes drive from JR Shiretoko Shari Station. A drive-in restaurant along the national highway with a Japanese-style exterior. The parking lot is spacious. The interior is also Japanese-style, with convenient counter and table seating. I visited for an early Saturday lunch. I arrived right after opening, so it was quiet at first, but gradually started to get busier. I ordered the recommended set menu of the day, which was the "Shiretoko-produced clam tempura rice bowl with soba noodles (warm)" for 1,150 yen. The clam tempura was cooked just right, with a matured flavor and good texture. The sauce was rich but not overpowering, complementing the tempura well. The soba noodles were made with local water from the famous Nihachi spring. The noodles themselves were simple and traditional, with a subtle flavor. The soba dipping sauce was slightly sweet, with a good balance of dashi flavor, allowing the taste of the soba to shine through.
