It's been a while since I visited Sakai City. A wonderful yakitori restaurant has opened in the shopping street near Ho Station. It's located east of Ho Station, in the Ho Shopping Street, near M's and Okuno. The interior of the restaurant is stylish and clean, with a counter, tables, and a spacious area in the back that can accommodate around 30 people. I started with a draft beer for 450 yen, which was poured perfectly. The restaurant serves delicious beer. For starters, I ordered a platter of three types of chicken sashimi - liver, heart, and thigh for 850 yen. The sashimi platter was beautifully presented with plenty of condiments, especially the myoga was excellent. I also had a 500ml bottle of Akahoshi beer for 500 yen. Now, onto the yakitori. Normally, you have to order two skewers of each type, but they kindly allowed me to order just one skewer as I was dining alone. I ordered negima (chicken and leek skewer) for 200 yen, seseri (chicken neck) for 150 yen, zuri (chicken gizzard) for 150 yen, skin for 150 yen, and bonjiri (chicken tail) for 150 yen. All the skewers were delicious, but the standout was the zuri. It was the first time I had such a large and juicy gizzard. Overall, I think it's a tasty and affordable yakitori restaurant. I will definitely go back for more.
