For lunch, I headed towards Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street. I had a vague memory of being there before. Upon checking, it seems like I had eaten tempura there in the past. The Nan Kara Set Meal for 850 yen includes double portions of fried chicken and chicken nanban. This menu is right up my alley. Even though I like fried chicken, I usually order ginger pork at restaurants, so I don't eat it often. But I think I'll go for this one. You can choose the amount of rice, and of course, I chose the large portion. The fried chicken is delicious, and the chicken nanban with tartar sauce adds variety to the meal, making the rice go down smoothly. The fried chicken is made with chicken breast, so it's light, and the size is just right for easy eating. The meal also comes with miso soup, cold tofu, 3 pieces of fried chicken each, and a large serving of rice, making it very filling. I wonder what else they have on the menu.

Fried chicken set meal (7 pieces of fried chicken) 800 yen
Medium bottle of beer 638 yen including tax
The fried chicken is made from chicken breast and has a nice moist texture. The seasoning is just right with a hint of salt, which I personally like. You can choose from 4, 5, 7, or 9 pieces of fried chicken for the set meal, with prices varying depending on the number of pieces. I found 7 pieces to be just right as they were on the smaller side. If you're looking for a hearty meal, you might want to go for 9 pieces. Rice refills are not available, but you can choose from small, medium, large, or extra-large sizes when ordering. I would definitely come back if I'm craving fried chicken!

Johnny's Karaage offers a set of 6 Oni Oroshi karaage for 800 yen. I've visited this place for lunch occasionally. I tried the Oni Oroshi for the first time, but the grated daikon was frozen. The speed of service is impressive, but the daikon remained frozen until the end, so I couldn't really taste it. In the future, I will stick to other menu items. The karaage has a thin crispy coating and moist chicken meat, which is delicious.

Today I had the famous Johnny's fried chicken lunch in Osaka. Fried chicken is a staple for lunch at izakayas in the Fukushima area. When I entered, I ordered a set of shrimp fry and fried chicken for 900 yen. The fried chicken is made with chicken breast and there were four pieces. The shrimp fry was delicious, with two large pieces. The chicken was made with solid breast meat, so after eating two pieces, I was already satisfied. It might be a bit monotonous in taste, so a mix of thigh and breast meat would be nice. If they offered a service of all-you-can-eat raw eggs, it might attract more protein lovers. I'll leave a message for Johnny, thank you for the meal.

I visited on a Saturday night. I arrived right when the restaurant opened, so I was able to find a comfortable seat inside. I had plans afterwards, so I quickly ordered some crispy fried chicken and appetizers. The fried chicken was delicious, perfectly crispy! The menu had various parts of the chicken, so I want to come back next time and try more!

Until November 30th, there is an amazing event with all-you-can-drink for 1 hour of the strongest lemon sour for only 699 yen. It's a fantastic deal, but it seems like it's not very well known as I was only the third person to order it since the beginning of October. I ordered two food items as well, so I got the Chicken Nanban, Half Potato Salad, and Potato Fries. The food was decent, with the tartar sauce on the Chicken Nanban being particularly good. All the dishes have great value for money and are perfect for groups. The lemon sour is usually 499 yen, but you can get a refill with just the lemon part for 299 yen. You can have about 4-5 drinks before the flavor starts to come through. The female staff were really lovely, providing polite and friendly service that showed their care and kindness.

I visited the restaurant for lunch because it was close to my company. I arrived around 11:30 and it was relatively empty. The menu offers a selection of set meals, and you can choose the number of pieces of fried chicken. This time, I had the regular fried chicken set with the largest option of 9 pieces. Of course, I ordered extra rice! The fried chicken was lightly seasoned, crispy, and delicious. It's no surprise since it's a specialty fried chicken restaurant! Personally, I think it's great that you can have unlimited rice refills during lunch. If I ever crave fried chicken again, I would definitely want to come back!

A group of 22 people went to "Johnny's Karaage" SENBA Dojo. "Johnny's Karaage" is a well-known specialty store for Oita Karaage. The main store is located in Bungo-ono City, Oita Prefecture, and they currently have about 40 stores mainly in the Kansai region. The organizer reserved a 2-hour all-you-can-drink course for 3,000 yen. We started with a toast with "Premium Malt" and enjoyed the delicious food. The first dish was the specialty dish from Miyazaki, called "Assorted Charcoal Grilled". It had a great texture. We also had "Addictive Cucumber" with sesame oil and salt, "Chicken Breast Ponzu" which was finely shredded and easy to eat, and a healthy tofu salad. We also tried the "Fried Takoyaki" and the signature dish "Johnny's Karaage", which was delicious. The all-you-can-eat menu included "Tomato Slices" and "Potato Salad", both healthy options. We couldn't miss out on the "Chicken Nanban" with its delicious tartar sauce. We also ordered "Kimchi", "Edamame", and "Boneless Karaage". The kimchi had a sesame oil flavor, but I personally prefer it without. The tartar sauce on the Chicken Nanban had a hint of egg flavor and wasn't too sour from the mayonnaise.

In Osaka, at Shinsaibashi, there are times when you suddenly crave Johnny's Karaage Tamani. That day has come! Johnny's Karaage Neck and Karaage Potato Salad are crispy and hot, juicy with meat juices. It's gone in no time. Thank you for the meal!

Visited Johnny's Karaage SENBA Dojo in Shinsaibashi.
Ordered: Johnny's Karaage (4 pieces), boneless chicken breast karaage, boneless chicken thigh karaage, rolled omelette, chicken liver, doteyaki (grilled beef and miso skewers), squid kimchi, tomato slices.
The food was consistently delicious, and the all-you-can-drink option was great.

The fried chicken was a bit on the salty side. It was just average. Thank you for the meal.

I often see takeout restaurants, but it's rare to find a place where you can eat inside! I enjoyed Johnny's fried chicken, which is a classic dish to have with a lemon sour. The meat juices spread in my mouth, it's so delicious! The potato salad, skewers, everything was tasty without a doubt. They also seem to offer lunch, so I'd like to visit for lunch next time. Thank you for the meal.

The Nan Kara set meal is 800 yen, but on Tuesdays it's 750 yen. It comes with fried chicken and chicken Nanban. You can choose from small, medium, large, or extra-large rice portions. I'm on a diet, so I chose the medium size. I'm full and satisfied. Thank you for the meal!
