After walking around all day and feeling tired, I entered a shop to have a drink and rest. The taste and service were okay, as expected. There were many Vietnamese staff working, and it was a bit of a hassle because my order didn't get across easily, and I had to repeat myself several times.

I always use the Urateppen Honten main store, but I have also visited the Shinsaibashi store a few times. The skewers are cheap and delicious, and I am always very satisfied. I recommend the chicken prosciutto. Happy hour drinks are incredibly cheap, so it's a great deal for drinkers. There are also many types of skewers, so it's a place that makes you want to visit again and again.

In the end, we went to an izakaya in Osaka after exploring Shinsaibashi and Hakata. The hormone skewers and soba were amazing. There are various ways to finish a meal, but soba is not often seen. The seasonal skewers were also delicious.

The lively restaurant was always full with customers coming and going. The fried yam sticks were soft and delicious. The maruchou (intestine) was a great addition, the liver was tender, and the tsukune meatballs were coarse and tasty with the sauce. The adult ginger ale had plenty of ginger and paired well with the skewers. There were many other menu items that caught my eye, like the fried corn and the famous white motsu (offal). I look forward to trying them next time. This was my second day of enjoying skewered foods, and I love being able to try one piece of each favorite item. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I love that you can order just one skewer or a full meal at this place, making it great for a quick drink or a full-on meal. The menu has so many options that it's hard to choose, but that's a good problem to have. The staff is young and energetic, and the crowd is on the younger side. There are even older gentlemen who come in alone for a quick bite and drink. It's a casual and easy-going place that you can visit without any pressure. It can get busy even on weekdays, so it's best to go early or make a reservation.

Having a daytime drink in Shinsaibashi. Went to Tori to Ume no Yu but it was closed, so I searched for a nearby place. Ended up at "Batten Yokato East Shinsaibashi Store". Highball for 90 yen during Happy Hour. The specialty pork hormone "shiro" was delicious. The cabbage appetizer with free refills was a nice touch! Onion slices sprinkled with bonito flakes help improve blood circulation. You can't go wrong with onion slices topped with bonito flakes.

In Shinsaibashi, there's a great place called Batten Yokato-san! It's an izakaya with a wide variety of menu items besides skewers. I was curious about what Hakata skewers are, and it turns out it refers to a style where not only chicken but also pork, beef, vegetables, and more are skewered and grilled. Their specialty is the hormone skewer called "shiro"! It's incredibly delicious without any unpleasant smell, I ended up ordering it four times (*⁰▿⁰*). The other day, I happened to see their store at a food festival and was surprised by their deep-fried corn. It seems to be a popular menu item, but I didn't know about it...! It's neatly skewered, and the impact is impressive, but the diligence in skewering the corn is also remarkable ∑(゚Д゚). And this corn is mysteriously delicious...! Is it soy sauce and sugar? The intense sweet-salty taste is amazing (╹◡╹). I definitely want to eat it again. Thank you for the meal!

A shop in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. Kimchi, Hakata specialty vinegar motsu, our special rare pork dish, chicken skin, pork belly, and one more dish that I forgot (^^; Also had a few beers. Enjoying the taste of Hakata in Osaka. We had dishes like yukke and hormone skewers, finishing with soba noodles. We dined at the counter and the delicious food and drinks made the conversation lively. Personally, I especially enjoyed the fried small taro.

I came to Hakata Kushiyaki Batten Yokato in Shinsaibashi. I was lured in by the Happy Hour sign. The Happy Hour at Batten Yokato offers cheap highballs. I order a Mega Highball. The size for 150 yen is amazing. The cabbage appetizer can be eaten endlessly by just adding some magic liquid. Refills are also free. I order the shiro-yaki. I like the crispy texture that comes from the strong sear. I try the seseri, which has a good chew. I also try the yotsumi, which is chicken thigh cut into squares and grilled, a style unique to Hakata. Address: 1-5-2 Shinsaibashi-suji, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, York Shinsaibashi Building 1F.

I can keep drinking lemon chu-hai just with the white motsu here. I usually start with raw beef yukke or grilled intestines, then move on to skewers, and finish with soba noodles. The prices are reasonable, the taste is good, and it's a perfect place for when you feel like having a drink.

Happy hour. Regular size highball for only 70 yen, which is surprisingly cheap! I couldn't help but enter. The mega size is 130 yen. I added 30 yen for a yuzu mega highball. It was huge, delicious, and very much appreciated. We also tried various skewers. The specialty white skewer was delicious! Personally, I couldn't resist ordering seconds of the limited-time pickled ginger wrapped in meat skewer. It was delicious! All the skewers were delicious. I definitely want to come back to this restaurant. I really like the counter seats lined up in a row. Thank you for the meal.

Drinks in Shinsaibashi~ Had a bit of time to spare before meeting up! Happy Hour, my favorite? Evening deals on highballs♪ Just a little bit!! Dewar's highball, normally 470 yen, now 70 yen. Visit on December 9th: Here it is☆ "Hakata Kushiyaki Batten Yoka to Shinsaibashi Store" Happy Hour every day from 4 pm to 6 pm♪ It's okay to slide in at the last minute... Sat at the counter and ordered the 70 yen highball from the menu front page, which comes with a side of cabbage for 150 yen, even though I didn't really need it... Potato salad for 380 yen. Even though it's a kushiyaki place, I quickly drank the highball and immediately ordered another one! Finished with just the potato salad and a bit of leftover cabbage. Total bill was 730 yen before tax, including the unnecessary cabbage side. Planned action for the next stop? Off in 15 minutes as there is more to come! Thank you for the meal!! Happy Hour♪ The 70 yen Scotch highball is worth it. Next time, I'll also order some kushiyaki (laughs) (Taken with G7X) Hakata Kushiyaki Batten Yoka to Shinsaibashi Store Osaka City Chuo-ku Shinsaibashi-suji 1-5-2 York Shinsaibashi Building 1F 06-4300-3986 16:00-2:00 No regular holidays.

It's consistently delicious. I've been using this restaurant since its first store in Kitashinchi. Basically, everything you order is delicious, and whenever you go, you can usually leave feeling good. It's a really great restaurant, starting with draft beer, always ordering the classics like "shiro," "toumorokoshi karaage," and this time the "ham katsu." This time, we also went to a yakitori restaurant, so we ordered a little less, but we were still very satisfied. First, the "shiro" at 140 yen each, we ordered two for two people, but ideally, I would want to eat three per person. It has a crispy texture, cooked over charcoal, with the initial aroma of the sauce and sumi, and a rich aftertaste of hormones. It's incredibly delicious. With just this and the refreshing cabbage side dish, you can keep drinking beer. Whenever I bring someone new, I always order the toumorokoshi karaage. It's 200 yen each. The shocking visual of the corn on a skewer bursting out, and the perfect way the sauce clings to it, is bound to be delicious. Both men and women are surprised and pleased by it. The ham katsu was also delicious, maybe homemade? It had a crispy texture and a slightly meaty finish. It was delicious even without sauce, but when you dip it, it's incredibly tasty. Finally, we enjoyed the sumotsu while savoring the beer. It was still a great restaurant as always. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to yakitori in Hakata, it's all about the "pork belly". For those who dare to say "that's not chicken", the people of Hakata will passionately argue in favor of their love for pork belly. Let's quickly order and enjoy some food and drinks. We don't have much time, so let's start with smashed cucumber, zhi ma tofu, liver bacon rolls, and the famous white hormone... wait, isn't it supposed to be pork belly? The sauce is so flavorful, making it perfect for enjoying with drinks! Even though it's in Hakata, they call it the white special... shouldn't it be pork belly? It feels a bit strange. Anyway, we enjoyed the delicious food and left the restaurant. It's funny that we talked so passionately about ordering pork belly but didn't actually order it! Thank you for the meal~

I was invited to a launch party and arrived late, so I only had one dish, which was a spicy squid dish that seemed like Korean cuisine. The squid was a bit too tough. The restaurant was in the Tenma area and seemed to be a popular spot with multiple branches. It was crowded that day with a lot of women in the group, and despite being busy, the staff had a good vibe. The bill came out to be 3800 yen per person.

Before going to eat sushi, I stopped by my favorite restaurant, "Batten Yokato Osho" in Shinsaibashi for a quick bite. I've been to their Tenma branch many times and I love all their dishes because they are delicious and affordable. Today, I ordered a bit conservatively in preparation for the sushi. I had their famous white edamame with black pepper, chicken ham, yam tempura, potato salad, corn tempura, pork belly, and shiso rolls. I had a draft beer while my boyfriend had cola. Everything was delicious, especially the chicken ham which was amazing! The corn tempura came with a sweet sauce and tasted like a dessert. It was White Day, so there were many couples at the restaurant, as well as solo male customers and groups of women. The staff didn't interfere, so it seems like a place suitable for any occasion. However, it may not be ideal for large groups as the counter seats seem to be the main option.

I visited for the first time and the recommended shiro was very delicious! After a few days, I started craving it again and I think I'm a little addicted. The friend I went with last time didn't like motsu, so next time I'll go alone and enjoy all the horumon to my heart's content! ^ ^
