I ordered the Kama-tama udon for 780 yen including tax. Today, on 1/5, I was going around a restaurant in Kitashinchi, but it was quite crowded. I found this restaurant available on the third try. After doing shoulder exercises at Urban Fit in Umeda, I was hungry and decided to eat nearby. However, my stomach wasn't feeling well today, so I ended up looking for a soba or udon restaurant. I confirmed that there was kitsune udon that is good for the stomach, so I entered the restaurant (laughs). I requested a seat at the counter, and they kindly prepared it for me. How nice! I opened the menu intending to order kitsune udon. However, there were quite a few items on the menu. I found konbu udon, which seemed good for the stomach, in addition to kitsune udon. As I flipped through the menu, I found Kama-tama udon! This is great! (Just because it contains eggs, that's all, haha). When I ordered the Kama-tama udon, the staff asked me if I wanted regular or thin noodles. Although there was no significant difference in terms of being easy to digest and good for the stomach, I stubbornly chose the regular noodles (;・∀・) I also checked the drink menu, and the prices for alcohol and drinks were very reasonable! With prices around 500 yen per glass, considering the location in Kitashinchi and the atmosphere of the restaurant, I thought it would be nice to have a drink or two while eating udon. But since I was alone today, I decided not to! (laughs) The Kama-tama udon came with shaved bonito flakes and green onions, which was much appreciated. It was delicious when I poured soy sauce and broke the egg over it. I was able to enjoy a luxurious and satisfying dinner. It was a happy moment! Thank you for the meal (*´ー`*)

Tsurutontan, a noodle shop with a long history, opened its doors in 2000 in Kita-Shinchi with the theme of revitalizing a traditional upscale restaurant into a more accessible dining experience. Tonight, I visited Tsurotantan with the mama of the snack bar for the second time, along with two 20-year-old girls from the shop. Everyone said they had never been to Tsurotantan on the main street before, so we had a choice between curry ramen and something else. We all agreed on curry ramen! I ordered my usual mixed rice bowl and two servings of cold udon. The mama and one of the girls chose the cold udon, looking cute. The 25-year-old girl who can eat a lot challenged herself with the katsu curry udon! It seemed like too much for her, so she shared some tonkatsu with everyone. If we get drunk again late at night, we'll definitely go back!

I have been coming to Tsurutontan Kitashinchi for about a year, both for lunch and dinner, because my previous company was located in Shinchi. I have only ever eaten the udon dishes before, but this time I tried the shabu-shabu for the first time! It was a menu where you can enjoy just the right amount of marbled meat without feeling heavy in the stomach, and I had a fun and delicious meal! But I'll definitely go back for udon late at night again!

I have been using "Tsurutontan" even before it expanded to multiple stores, but this is my first visit since returning to Osaka. It's been about 7 years, I think? I used to always come here for a late-night ramen after drinking, but I stopped eating it for about 20 years. When I needed something to eat, I would usually go for soba or udon. This time, I ordered the Torokama Cold Udon. The udon bowl they served it in is still ridiculously huge. As for the udon itself, there's no need to explain further, it's consistently delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious about the mentaiko sauce over egg udon for a while, so I finally decided to order it. It was not a lunch special, so there was no feeling of getting a good deal. However, I stubbornly ordered two servings. As a result, it was a big mistake. The first bite was delicious, but the amount was too much and I started to get tired of it. The combination of mentaiko and egg was excellent, but too much of it was overwhelming. I realized that moderation is key. Next time, I would like to try a lunch special for a better deal. Thank you for the meal.

On the way back from exploring a new area, I stopped by this restaurant. I was thirsty, so I ordered shaved ice, cold udon, corn and conger eel tempura, among other things. Shaved ice was a delightful treat on a hot night. The udon was smooth and tasty. The corn and conger eel tempura didn't seem to go well together. Thank you for the meal. My thirst has been quenched.

Once again, I had udon with memory loss. Based on the photo, it looks like Katsu Curry Udon with rice. I remember the katsu being crispy and delicious. The curry udon was quite rich. I can't recall if I poured the curry udon over the rice to eat it or not.

I stayed at ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel and went to "Tsurutontan Kitashinchi" for a late night meal. I chose thin noodles for all dishes and tried both cold and hot udon. If you want to enjoy the true texture of udon with a smooth and slippery feel, I recommend eating it cold.

I visited this restaurant after seeing the rose garden at Nakanoshima Park. I ordered the tempura udon set meal (served with white rice). The restaurant had a luxurious atmosphere and the prices were reasonable. The tempura was crispy and the udon noodles had a good texture, making it delicious.

I wandered around several buildings near the station looking for a place to eat easily on a rainy day, but couldn't decide, so I reluctantly headed back to the hotel. On the way, I happened to see a sign and decided to enter the restaurant. There were many foreigners who seemed to be staying at the ANA Hotel. I ordered from the spring special menu, which included spring cabbage Mentaiko (spicy cod roe) hot pot, low-carb udon noodles, and spring onion tempura. The hot pot had plenty of meat, and I was very satisfied. The cabbage was sweet, but the spicy Mentaiko made the soup too salty for my taste, which was a bit disappointing, but still recommended. The tempura didn't come with dipping sauce, and when I tried to ask the staff in broken Japanese, they froze up, so I just had to assume that it was meant to be eaten with salt. Despite this confusion, the food was delicious as it was fresh.

I had a craving for Tsurutontan's udon dishes, so I visited "Yaoyoshi" in Mie for some authentic udon. Today, I ordered the cold zaru udon with tempura set and was impressed by the pure taste of the udon. The udon was delicious, with a strong wheat flavor and a smooth texture when dipped in the broth. The tempura was crispy, and the shrimp was juicy. I also tried the kitsune udon, which had a sweet fried tofu that was addictive. The generous portions and quality of the dishes made the price worth it. I will definitely be coming back to Tsurutontan for more delicious udon dishes. Thank you for the wonderful meal! Grazie Mille!

Arrived around 10 pm on Saturday. There was a short wait of about 3 groups, but we were seated quickly. I ordered the spring limited menu, which was udon in a hot stone pot. It was my first time trying this dish. It had more of a soy sauce fried udon taste rather than a traditional peperoncino flavor.

I remember this place! I used to eat at Tsurutontan in the Minami area often. This time, I decided to try the one in Kitashinchi (Tsurutontan Kotoshourou). There is another branch in Kitashinchi, and this one had some available seats around 12:30. I ordered the "Tendon set" and had to wait about 15 minutes because it was busy. The tendon was packed with ingredients (2 prawns, eggplant, shiso leaf, pumpkin, chicken tempura, seaweed, lotus root, white fish), which got me excited. The crispy batter with slightly sweet sauce went well with the perfectly cooked rice. The prawns were firm and had a nice texture, and with white fish and chicken tempura, I was satisfied. The pickles were surprisingly delicious too! The udon had seaweed, fish cake, and chopped green onions, but the dashi made from kombu and bonito was tasty. The thick noodles had a good chewy texture. The most memorable part was the giant bell-shaped ladle! It was heavy and huge! The ladle made me smile. The portion size wasn't huge compared to the bowl, but I left feeling full. I could see the two chefs working together from the counter, and it was impressive to see them handle so many orders. I would like to come back when I have more time.

We visited "Tsurutontan" for dinner on a Saturday. Located in the bustling district of Kitashinchi, we made a reservation for after 5 PM. It's relatively affordable compared to other places in Kitashinchi, so it's quite popular. I recommend making a reservation (there were already customers waiting even in the 5 o'clock hour). There were four of us, and we tried four different types of udon. The "Beef and Turnip Ankake Udon" is a Kitashinchi exclusive! It had a light broth and tender beef, which was our favorite. We also enjoyed the spicy cod roe, curry, and carbonara udon dishes, which were unique to Tsurutontan. After our meal, we ordered the "Homemade Warabi Mochi," which took a bit of time to be served. It was chewy and delicious.

Today, I had lunch at this place. After having some drinks, my junior kept complaining about being hungry, so we left the previous place and went to a nearby restaurant. I tried Tsuru Ton Tan for the second time, the first time being about 10 years ago at the Marunouchi store in Tokyo. It seems to be popular even in its hometown of Osaka. I ended up ordering udon, seafood bowl, and tempura set in a tipsy state. The udon was made in the Sanuki style, but it lacked the firmness compared to the original. Eventually, I only ate the sashimi from the seafood bowl, tempura pumpkin and seaweed, shiso, and a little udon before giving up. My junior happily finished the rest. It's good to have young people around for food loss prevention. I felt that there were too many original menu items, which seemed to be moving away from the original deliciousness of the udon. Also, I was a bit disappointed with the customer service from the staff. Overall, it was a decent meal.

On January 28, 2023 (Saturday) around 12:30 AM, I couldn't make it in time for the last train after having mentaiko udon and mentaiko changja kimpa. I wanted to eat rice, but I didn't feel like going to the usual place. Oh, I remember! There's Tsurutontan nearby. I'll have the mentaiko udon! Also, I want rice... they have kimpa! I'll go with that. Oh, they have mentaiko topping... oh well. But no doubt! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went to eat a surprisingly large bowl of udon in Kitashinchi! \(^o^)/ This place is located just a short walk from ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel, where I often stay in Osaka. I searched for the nearest udon restaurant from my current location on Tabelog, and this place popped up. Since I am a VIP member of Tabelog, the search results show the highest-rated restaurants, so you can trust the taste. (I think regular members can't use this feature unless they pay a monthly fee). I had to wait for about 5 minutes in the waiting area right after entering until I was guided to a seat on the 2nd floor. The menu looks like this. The Beef Udon for 1180 yen, first of all, the size of the bowl surprised me. Look at this! Compare it to the size of my palm! I was amazed by the size of this bowl when they brought it! It's huge! This is the Cold Sansai Udon for 1080 yen. It has a nice chewy texture and is incredibly delicious! The bowl is big, but the amount of udon in it is just right, so you can rest assured. It's impressive and incredibly tasty! Delicious udon at a reasonable price in Kitashinchi. I would like to try a different type next time! \(^o^)/ If you have time, come visit Princess Cinderella's blog, Instagram, and YouTube!

After drinking, I had a strong craving for udon noodles as a way to finish off the night. It was already 1 am, but I called ahead to confirm and then went to the restaurant. The first floor seemed to be full, so we were seated on the second floor. There were a variety of options on the menu, so I usually stick to what I know, but my companion ordered something that looked delicious, so I decided to be more adventurous next time! ♫

I was planning to go eat udon, but the popular and famous udon shops in Umeda were closed for the New Year's holiday. So, I ended up going to the reliable Tsurutontan instead. I ordered the seasonal special, Oyster Chige Udon! The udon was thick and chewy with a smooth texture, and the Chige soup had just the right richness and spiciness. I wanted to drink every last drop of it! The oyster flavor was decent, and there were about 4-5 oysters in the dish which made me happy.

On a cold winter day in Osaka, with a coupon in hand, we decided to visit Tsurutontan in Kitashinchi in search of something warm. Despite the need for reservations, we were able to get a table early in the evening. The location was a bit tricky to find in the narrow streets of Kitashinchi, and we felt a bit out of place at first. However, as more diverse customers arrived, including families and elderly individuals, we felt more at ease. I chose the Kabu and Gyuu Mizo-An Udon and the Suji Udon. The udon was thick and had a good chewy texture, and the broth was delicious. Although the price was a bit high for udon, the generous portion and the satisfying taste made it worth it. Tsurutontan is now one of my favorite places to eat in Osaka. The warmth of the food and the large serving bowls really made my day. Thank you for a great dining experience!

I visited this place because there were more menu options in Kita-Shinchi! The interior had a calm atmosphere typical of Shinchi. They offer small dishes and sushi, so I also want to try using it as a night izakaya! I noticed that in Tokyo, you could choose the amount of noodles, but is it not possible in Osaka? The service didn't quite match the atmosphere, which was disappointing!
- Curry Udon Set (Shrimp Tempura, Shabu Pork, Cutlet) for 1880 yen. I wanted to try this, even though there were other value sets available. The shrimp tempura seemed more fitting for the dish than regular fried shrimp, but it wasn't freshly fried as it was a bit soggy. The cutlet was consistently delicious and satisfying. The shabu pork was tasty when wrapped in the udon noodles. The thin noodles were delicious and easy to eat with the curry soup, which had a unique and addictive flavor.
