▼Location▼
Located on the north side of Kintetsu Shin-Ishikiri Station, along Chuo Dori.
▼About the Restaurant▼
Founded in 1969 by relatives of the founder of Osaka Ohsho, who had worked at Ohsho before. After legal issues regarding the name, it became Osaka Ohsho and started expanding nationwide after 2000. This Ishikiri branch is operated by the major franchisee Naniwa Foods, with a different menu compared to the original Osaka Ohsho.
▼Menu▼
Includes gyoza, fried rice, noodles, individual dishes, as well as set meals. (Note: Menu differs from the original Osaka Ohsho's)
▼Food Consumed▼
▽D Lunch 880 yen▽ (Sept 2022)
A lunch set consisting of Vegetable Shirodashi Ramen and Mini Spinach Fried Rice. The ramen has a clear soup base with a subtle taste, different from its appearance. The noodles are medium-thin and have a slightly firm texture. The Mini Spinach Fried Rice is well-cooked with a nice fluffy texture, but the spinach flavor may be too strong for some.
▼Impressions▼ (Sept 2022)
Founded in 1969 as Gyoza no Ohsho by relatives of the original Osaka Ohsho founder in Kyoto, later becoming Osaka Ohsho due to name issues. It has since grown into a nationwide chain with locations from Hokkaido to Okinawa. This Ishikiri branch, operated by Naniwa Foods, offers a unique menu compared to the direct-operated stores. The D Lunch I tried had a simple taste, which was decent but not exceptional. I would like to try other dishes in the future.

▽Light Ramen, Salt Flavor 530 yen▽ (July 2018)
The visual includes chashu, menma, negi, and shungiku. The soup is clear with a chicken bone-based broth, very light and slightly sweet. The salt flavor is subtle. The noodles are medium-thin wavy noodles with a slightly higher water content. The chashu is lean and simple. The other ingredients, negi and shungiku, do not complement the soup well.
▼Impressions▼ (July 2018)
Originally expanding as Osho and later branching off from Gyoza no Osho to become Osaka Osho, this chain has gained nationwide fame in recent years. Unlike Gyoza no Osho, which has many directly operated stores, Osaka Osho has many franchise-operated branches, including this Ishikiri shop operated by the major franchise Naniwa Food. As a result, the menu is completely different from directly operated stores and is original. I tried the ramen mentioned above here. The clear soup looked delicious, but it was not as flavorful as expected, overall being average. The noodles were okay, so next time I want to try stir-fried dishes to see their true value.

We went to Osaka Osho. I had the Sake Drinker Set for 1,480 yen, and Maru had the Mapo Tofu Set for 1,080 yen plus an order of gyoza for 245 yen. The prices are reasonable and you can enjoy a quick meal.

As soon as you get off at Shin-Ishikiri Station, there is a Osho restaurant right there. It's always crowded during lunchtime because there are few shops in front of the station. Personally, I like the gyoza at Osaka Osho. I think it's tastier than the gyoza at Kyoto Osho. There are plenty of lunch options here, so you can choose from a variety of dishes. I've been here many times, so I would be happy if they added more lunch menu options. The prices are higher than Kyoto Osho, but the food is delicious. The staff are also very kind. I had a pleasant dining experience. I would like to come back again.

Rating: 3.00 points in March 2018 with 7 reviews. This is a review of the Osaka Ohsho restaurant located in front of Shin-Ishikiri Station on the Kintetsu Keihanna Line. The restaurant is clean and the location seems to be good. I had the lunch set A with sweet and sour pork and shrimp tempura. It does not come with gyoza. The A set is a one-plate lunch, while the B set includes ramen and fried rice. The area around Ishikiri Shrine is beautiful, with cherry blossoms starting to bloom on a sunny day, attracting many people. Since I was on a work break, I didn't have gyoza or beer, but the sweet and sour pork and shrimp tempura were delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I wanted to grab a quick lunch and ended up here at Osho! I made it in time for lunch, so I ordered the C set - tantanmen and for some reason, spinach pressed? I also ordered spinach fried rice in a regular portion. I preferred the regular fried rice over the spinach one. Thank you for the meal!

No need to search, when in a hurry it's always Osho! The speed of serving the gyoza is amazing! Asked for Sichuan pepper in the mapo tofu and got a bottle of S&B Sichuan pepper powder! Thank you for the reliable Chinese food! Thank you for the meal!

In front of Shin-Ishikiri Station, there is a restaurant called "Osaka Ohsho". It's a place that catches your eye immediately when you're short on time. They have menus outside, so you can quickly choose and enter, making ordering smooth. If you're in a group, you'll be guided to a table, but since I was alone, I sat at the counter. I ordered the recommended lunch set A for 680 yen. First, soup is served, and while you're drinking it, sweet and sour pork, small shrimp tempura, fried shumai, and rice are served as well. The taste is decent, but the speed is really helpful when you're short on time. It would be even better if you could change the rice to fried rice, but I suppose that would take more time.

I visited the restaurant on my way home from work. The restaurant is located right near Shin-Ishikiri Station. I arrived at the restaurant around 22:15. When I peeked into the glass-walled interior, there were about ten customers. There were also take-out customers near the entrance, so it seems quite popular! I was seated at the counter. The interior of the restaurant, which I think has been around for a long time, is very clean. Looking at the menu, the noodle dishes and individual items are slightly more expensive compared to Gyoza no Ohsho. However, what caught my eye was the variety of appealing set meals. The prices are mainly around 800 yen, which is nice as it's not much different from a bowl of ramen these days. I wanted to try the Eight Treasure Rice Set for 800 yen, but I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered the Light Ramen for 480 yen. You can choose between soy sauce or salt flavor, and I chose soy sauce. The Light Ramen arrived shortly. It came with two slices of pork, bamboo shoots, green onions, and chrysanthemum greens as toppings. The soup was slightly cloudy and not too oily. When I tried the soup, it had a gentle sweetness with a chicken broth soy sauce flavor. The soy sauce flavor was mild, making it a nicely light soup. It had a decent richness and was refreshing in taste. It would be a good way to finish off a meal. The noodles were medium-thin with a slight curl. They were not too soft, making them easy to eat. Personally, I prefer noodles that are a bit firmer. The chicken thigh meat char siu had a meaty texture with no dryness. I would like to try the set meal next time. Thank you for the meal!

Today I went to the Kintetsu Nishikizuri Station for work. In the sweltering heat, I searched for a place to have lunch. There weren't many dining options. There were izakayas, but... Mister Donut is not what I want. Hmm, I found Osaka Ohsho! Personally, I like Gyoza no Ohsho. Since there was nowhere else to eat, shall we go in? The restaurant was full of customers. Maybe the food is good. I have high hopes. I promptly ordered the ramen set (730 yen). You can choose between soy sauce or salt ramen. This time I chose soy sauce. There weren't many affordable lunch sets. The cost performance is better at Gyoza no Ohsho. The soy sauce ramen arrived. The bowl was stylish, like something you'd use in a dining room. Huh? There's raw chrysanthemum greens and dried shiitake mushrooms on top. I wonder if they washed the chrysanthemum greens properly. They didn't blanch it. The soup was average. The noodles were soft, not firm. Oh no. The gyoza arrived. The skin was chewy. The filling was oozing out of torn skin. Oh no. Rice and kimchi arrived. The white rice was delicious. The kimchi was light and okay. This was the tastiest item this time. Why white rice? Different restaurants have different styles and flavors. Today was a miss... Maybe the restaurant was full because there weren't many dining options nearby. I cannot recommend it. Thank you for the meal...

I decided to have lunch at Osaka Taisho on April 5, 2011. It was around 12:20, right in the peak lunchtime period, and the area near Shin-Ishikiri Station was quite crowded because there were few places serving lunch. However, we were told that we would only have to wait for 4 groups ahead of us, so we decided to wait. I ordered the C lunch, which was a combination of tan-tan noodles and lettuce fried rice. We all ordered the same thing, thinking it would be faster. And it was the right choice... our order arrived at the table in less than 10 minutes. First, the tan-tan noodles. The sesame-flavored soup was fragrant, and the spiciness was mild and easy to eat, but it might not be enough for those who like spicy food. Personally, I found the level of spiciness just right. Overall, it was easy to eat, but I didn't feel any distinctive features. Now, the fried rice. Since the tan-tan noodles had a strong flavor, the fried rice tasted a bit bland in comparison. I felt that it could have been a bit stronger in flavor, considering the combination, but it might be just right if you eat the fried rice on its own. As a lunch option, I think it's perfectly fine. Thank you for the meal.

When descending from Mount Ikoma's hiking trail towards Ishikiri, you will first come across Ishikiri Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. However, there is nothing much around the station. As you walk down the approach to Ishikiri Shrine, you will pass by several tea houses and restaurants. Continuing past the main shrine and descending further, you will reach this restaurant located along the old outer ring road. The reason for climbing the mountain? To enjoy delicious beer and dumplings! The restaurant, although not exactly a Chinese restaurant, has a decent and clean interior. I was seated at the counter, where I was delighted to find Premium Malt beer for only 500 yen! The dumplings with miso sauce were delicious and really hit the spot after a tiring hike. The location and situation truly enhanced the dining experience.

There is a restaurant near Niihikari Station that always has a lot of customers. Sometimes the dumpling wrappers have holes in them, but overall the food is delicious. However, there aren't many good value sets, and while Osho is known for being cheap with big portions, it can get a bit pricey. The staff doesn't seem very enthusiastic, but the location is convenient so I go there occasionally. It's nice that there is a parking lot right next to the restaurant, but it can be hard to get out (lol).

After returning to Osaka for the first time in a year, on the second day, I was too busy with moving to cook at home. I didn't have the energy to make a proper meal, so I decided to get takeout from a nearby Chinese restaurant - Osaka Ohsho! It was my first time getting takeout from Osaka Ohsho, and I was surprised that the quality was almost the same as eating in the restaurant. The crispy spring rolls were delicious, and the mustard added a nice kick. The shrimp fried rice was light and had a refined flavor from being cooked in a Chinese wok. The liver and leek stir-fry had a great seasoning with a soy sauce base and a hint of pepper. The shrimp mayo had the perfect balance of sweetness and spice, and the portion size was impressive. The sweet and sour Tianjin rice wasn't too sweet, with a simple yet deep flavor. I'm glad I decided to get takeout from this restaurant this time. High-quality takeout like this is a lifesaver for people like me who eat with their dog! I now understand the benefits of takeout and look forward to trying more options in the future!

Anyway, dumplings!! I have a passion for pan-fried dumplings MAX. It's always crowded, but I'm willing to wait for the happiness of being able to take out and eat them. It's convenient as it's close to the station. While you can eat in here, I always use it for takeout. The takeout menu is also rich with other assorted dishes and bento boxes, making it hard to choose. Pan-fried dumplings are amazing, especially when paired with beer ❤️❤️❤️
