浜の布袋
After leaving Kawayu Onsen, we stopped by Poppotei, which had just opened, for brunch. The moment we saw the ramen, the word that came out was "beautiful." It's an artistic ramen. Location: In front of Mashu Station. It faces the rotary. Exterior: A white two-story building with white walls, wooden doors, hand-drawn blackboards, and an overall very stylish appearance. Interior: The interior also follows the exterior with a white and wood tone. The lighting and decor are stylish and simple, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Cuisine: The recommended dishes are ramen and pork bowl. As it was brunch and we had plans for the next meal, we decided on the Snow View Ramen and pork bowl (small) set for me, and the Kei Ramen and pork bowl (small) set for my partner, both priced at 1650 yen. The Snow View Ramen arrived first. It is completely white in appearance, with red chili oil, green kaiware, half-boiled egg, thinly sliced chashu, and white negi garnishing it like a painting. It truly is a work of art. The white base is made by grinding soybeans from Teshikaga into the broth. The base is miso ramen, but in terms of texture, it feels like white tantanmen, and it is very creamy, likely due to the addition of Teshikaga milk. The noodles are medium-thick, made from Teshikaga wheat. The combination of soybeans and noodles was incredibly delicious, a taste like no other. The pork bowl, made with tender local pork and sweet sauce, was also very tasty, although it lacked the presence compared to Obihiro. It's best enjoyed on its own. Additionally, my partner ordered the Kei Ramen, a salt-based ramen with local vegetables. The noodles are the same. This one also had a refreshing taste with the salt and vegetable flavors coming through. Both the Snow View Ramen and Kei Ramen were outstanding in taste.
