Hello, Captain here, delighted by the various small birds visiting my garden. I wish I had a field guide ready for when my team members ask, "What bird is that?" Recently, I discovered a cute bakery near my house. It's called "Togei Bakery," with a charming yellow building adorned with flower beds and a wooden deck. Inside the narrow shop, an elderly lady attends to customers. The prices are reasonable, and they offer a nice variety of unpretentious bread. Regular customers, including an older gentleman and families, engage in casual conversations with the lady while selecting their favorites. While fancy bakeries have their appeal, I also love warm and cozy places like this one, where kids can drop by after school. Since it was a warm spring day, I enjoyed my bread on the outdoor deck. They have self-service coffee and a toaster available for use, which is much appreciated. Without hesitation, my team member chose the melon bread, a nostalgic treat with a hint of melon fragrance. It's big and fluffy, perfect for a big bite! As for me, I went for the hot dog bun, reminiscent of after-school snacks. The edamame bread was delightfully chewy, reminiscent of Brazilian pão de queijo. The cheesy bagel was surprisingly soft and sweet, a real treat with every bite. The deck overlooks a rice field, offering a pleasant view for the upcoming season. I wonder if the grape vines on the deck roof will bear fruit in the summer. Before leaving, I couldn't resist trying the freshly baked (and timed perfectly after seeing a regular customer purchase one) shokupan, which had a comforting aroma and tasted delicious. They even gave me a loyalty card. I'm thrilled to have found this warm and inviting bakery near my home. The outdoor deck is a great spot for families, and my team members are already saying, "Let's go back!" It was a delightful experience!
