※As of March 28, 2021, the restaurant has resumed normal operations. After an event, we decided to have yakiniku for dinner. Since it was a Sunday and we thought it might be crowded, we made a same-day reservation from the venue, and as a result, we got a table seat for two people, which was our first time. It was spacious! From the moment we started eating until just before we left, customers were coming in constantly, so calling ahead was probably the right decision. We opted for the "Craftsman's Plate" which was a step up from the usual "Plate of Effort," as the latter was on hold. We also added the option for all-you-can-eat tongue and sagari. Of course, we also added the soft drink bar and all-you-can-eat ice cream (*^∀^*) The mixed plate arrived first, and then we kept ordering the items we wanted to eat, while drinks and rice were self-served. It was a kind design where additional items we wanted to order were brought to us together, so even though the initial mixed plate was served, each person could customize it. Since we both love marbled cuts like kalbi and sagari, we enjoyed yakiniku together. We tried all the types of meat, and while there were some that we hadn't tried before, we ordered one serving of each to find our favorites. The pork tongue with salt, Korean-style kalbi (the one you cut with scissors), middle-cut kalbi, master roast, heart, and (Japanese beef hormone) - which we didn't get to try - were all delicious. We couldn't try the beef tongue in this course, so we tried the pork tongue, and it was surprisingly delicious. We repeated it about three times. The "Popular Kalbi" didn't have much of a kalbi taste, so we preferred the middle-cut or Korean-style kalbi with its fatty texture. The Japanese beef hormone was very tender and delicious, but since we also ordered items like maruchou (intestines) and shimacho (tripe), we didn't repeat it. Next time, we will definitely order more Japanese beef hormone. The heart had a crispy texture with a refreshing taste towards the end. The pork belly and seseri were just average. Since one serving was relatively small, it was easy to try various types of meat and see what we liked (*^∀^*) The all-you-can-drink alcohol option was available for one person only, and there were other thoughtful touches like a complimentary condiment bar that was too good to be true. Also, the fact that grilled vegetables were not included in the mixed plate was a plus for us, as we were pursuing calories and protein. However, on weekends, the restaurant is really busy, almost like a war zone, so there may be some missed orders. The staff are full of energy and working hard, but when it gets really busy, they are constantly moving around and seem to be struggling a bit (^▽^;) So, if you think your order is taking too long, it's a good idea to ask if it has been processed. Sometimes orders are missed or delivered to other tables, so it's better to ask to avoid any disappointment. The staff are attentive to customers, and they are always looking out for you. For example, they quickly bring ice when the flames get too high and change the grills frequently. There was a staff member who seemed new and not yet accustomed to the atmosphere of the restaurant, but he was shyly and hesitantly proactive in finding work for himself, and he was the one who cleared the empty plates the most during our meal (^^♪ His enthusiasm and keen observation skills were admirable, and we had a heartwarming meal while chatting about it. The leader-like staff's quick instructions and responses were also impressive, making us feel like we were watching a team sport. I had my usual ice cream festival ahead of everyone else. This day, I had a nice round 10 scoops ☆ There are 10 flavors available, but I don't always try them all, I prefer to repeat my favorite flavors. I especially like the coffee jelly and strawberry flavors. I received hot tea to take a break, and even though there was still time left, we were very satisfied.
