I visited this place for the first time, which I had been curious about for a while. I was lucky to get in without a reservation around 7 pm on a weekend, but it quickly became full afterwards. The interior has an L-shaped counter and a 4-person table. On this day, I ordered the following: - Appetizer (mashed dish) - Bonito sashimi with lots of green onions - Marinated beef tendon - Assorted tempura (eggplant, asparagus, sea bream) - Bottled beer - Hakushu highball The first appetizer, the mashed dish, was surprisingly fluffy and delicious. The soup stock was also tasty. Despite being full, the alcohol and food were served smoothly. I was glad that they used ice that was not from an ice maker for the Hakushu highball. I would like to visit again.

Located a little away from the hustle and bustle of Ikebukuro Station ✨ About a 5-minute walk from the west exit of Ikebukuro Station! The interior of the restaurant is a bit calm, but once you step inside, you'll see regular customers at the counter ☺️ The atmosphere of the staff is warm and friendly, making it a pleasant place to chat. The fish menu changes with the seasons and the timing of the ingredients, which is nice ✨ This time, it was a whole Kasago fish, I think? I can't quite remember, but it was deliciously fried whole, with just the right seasoning! It's great for solo dining or for a drink or two with friends or colleagues! The restaurant is small, so it's not recommended for large groups!

Ikebukuro Station, 10 minutes walk, "Uoya Kamo". This time, I ordered a la carte after being seated. What I ordered: Assorted sashimi of 5 types for ¥770 - including kanpachi, sawara, buri, maguro, and tako! Even though I was dining alone, the portion size was surprisingly generous! The appetizer was a salad-style snack, which was a nice touch! Anchovy and white cabbage with shirasu for ¥580 - the core part of the cabbage was plentiful. The crunchy cabbage paired with anchovy shirasu was refreshing yet flavorful, making it a dish that you can't stop eating. However, personally, I prefer when the leaves are more involved in the dish, so I wished there were a bit more of them. The appetizer was potato salad for ¥350, and the beer was ¥660. The beer had a nice foam and was enjoyable. There were various types of shochu available, and I chose the barley shochu with soda for ¥720. ------ Helpful Memo ------ * As of the visit date: The restaurant allows smoking. ---------------------------

I often go to the izakaya near my house. It's cozy and the food is delicious. I enjoy dishes like chawanmushi, sashimi, and tempura. The highballs and sours are tasty! There are various types of sake available, and if you're unsure, you can tell the owner your preferences and they will choose for you.

This is a fish-based creative cuisine bar that I visited for the second time a while ago. I was planning to go to Wagariko, but wait, this isn't Wagariko? (I later found out they had moved further back...) It felt almost like a takeover? I entered and thought, huh? and finally realized after looking at the menu, haha. Despite being open for a short time, there was already a lively atmosphere with local regulars, and the sashimi was delicious (forgot to take a picture because I was drunk), and there were also fish skewers. The decorative cuts and stylish plating of the dishes show attention to detail. It was my second stop, so I had a light drink with my companion and finished up. Thank you for the meal.

The sashimi was fresh, the grilled shirako and the grilled skewers with miso marinade were quite delicious. The drinks were served in classy glasses, and the atmosphere was pleasant thanks to the friendly master. The restaurant allows smoking.

A calm place a little away from Ikebukuro Station, with an L-shaped counter and one table in the back. They have a wide variety of Japanese sake and shochu, a 5-piece sashimi platter, 3 types of rare delicacies, and delicious dishes like tempura (including butterbur sprouts). It gets crowded around 7 pm on weekdays.
