2022-08-02 (Tuesday) 11:25 Sunny scorching hot Today, it's scorching hot from the moment I woke up (>_<) On my way to work, I kept thinking, "I want to eat cold udon today ❤." After finishing the morning meeting and cleaning up, I made a quick stop at "Iroha" to satisfy my craving. I am a born and raised Kansai person, and I prefer Kansai-style noodles with warm broth, but when it comes to "cold noodles," it has to be "Sanuki" noodles, right? When I looked at the menu board in front of the store, the daily special was "bukkake udon with soft-boiled egg and shrimp tempura" (you can choose cold or hot). I was torn! I decided to order the cold version. "You can have extra noodles for free," they said, so I took advantage of that offer. As expected, at this time, the store was not crowded at all. But it took about 5 minutes from ordering to serving because they boiled the noodles after I placed my order. Finally, the moment I've been waiting for! I sprinkled the chopped green onions and grated ginger that came with it and said, "Let's dig in!" "Oh, it's amazing! The noodles are incredibly chewy," I exclaimed. It's not just chewy, it's almost "tough" (laughs), but it's incredibly "mochi-mochi" (chewy) too. The aroma of the wheat is also amazingly good. "As expected!" Actually, I have visited "Iroha" a few times before, but this is my first time trying their cold noodles. There are affordable chain restaurants nearby that also serve cold noodles, but personally, I can't handle frozen noodles, especially when they're cold. Today, they satisfied my morning appetite, and I am truly grateful. "Thank you very much!" I will visit again. However, since it's always busy, I can't make impromptu visits all the time... I'm sorry (>_<)
