The liveliness returns to the streets at night, and I'm in a good mood but there's one problem. Yes, you can't make a reservation at the restaurant. I realized that the era of being able to walk into any restaurant without a reservation is over, but what do people do when they suddenly feel like drinking? That's when I remembered this place. It's the pioneering restaurant for stylish yakitori in Fukuoka in my mind (probably not). Not only is it stylish, but the interior is quite spacious, and they are welcoming even for walk-ins. The menu is also extensive, and the yakitori is delicious. And the beer has an amazing foam. This is important. It's great for relaxing at the counter or having a casual drink with colleagues. The dimly lit interior is perfect for spending the end of the day. It's comforting~ Personally, I wish there were a few more rare items on the menu, but the staff is friendly and it's a great restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Located along Showa-dori, about an 8-minute walk from Fukuoka Tenjin Station on the Nishitetsu Line and a 7-minute walk from Akasaka Station on the subway, is this restaurant operated by "Sanko Corporation," which operates the "Sanko" and "Hinako" brands in Fukuoka, Kurume, Saga, and Tokyo. They use the red chicken "Mitsuse Chicken," born in France and raised in Sanze Village, Saga Prefecture. The exterior is on the first floor of a business building, with counter and table seats inside. The interior design is a casual and modern Japanese style with a black color scheme. The restaurant is always bustling with customers of all ages, genders, and nationalities. We started with a recommended selection of skewers, appetizers, and rice dishes. The grilled asparagus, snap peas, Mitsuse chicken skin with vinegar, and celery with ponzu sauce were perfect with a beer toast. The Mitsuse chicken skin with vinegar is a must-try for chicken skin lovers. The skewers, including the signature "Yotsumi/Tare," "Sand Skewers," "Liver/Tare," and "Chicken Breast/Ume-Wasabi," were perfectly grilled and delicious as always. The appetizers "Mitsuse Chicken and Cabbage Mille-feuille Miso Cutlet" and "Grilled Chicken Thigh" showcased the rich flavor of Mitsuse chicken. The juicy and tender chicken thigh is a must-try item. Pairing dishes like "Itoshima Pork Belly," "Silken Tofu," and "Mitsuse Chicken Liver Pate with Jam" with lemon sour or sake such as "Shuika/Junmai Ginjo" and "Miyakanbai/Junmai Daiginjo" made for a nice marriage of flavors. For the finale, we enjoyed the "Goto Udon Soup made with Mitsuse Chicken" for a refreshing finish. The rice dish "Chicken Soboro Bowl" with sweet and savory minced Mitsuse chicken, served with shredded omelet and pickled vegetables, was satisfying. Tonight, I felt like eating yakitori. Without using a food search app, I walked around from a hotel in Tenjin and chose a restaurant based solely on the name of the place. The restaurant was called "Sumitori Tenjin-ten." With a name like that, it must be charcoal-grilled, right? The restaurant was quite lively, with a good number of floor staff, indicating it must be popular. I was seated at a counter seat right by the kitchen... or rather, the grilling area, where I could see the charcoal grill up close. I started with a draft beer, cheers! In northern Kyushu, when it comes to chicken, it's "Mitse Chicken," so I enjoyed dishes featuring Mitse Chicken as my drink accompaniment. Before the yakitori, I had "Grilled Chicken Breast with Wasabi" and "Sesame Oil-Pickled Chicken Liver." They went really well with the beer! The restaurant's specialty, "Yotsumi," what could that be? It's probably not about a "child's kimono," so maybe it refers to "four different parts" of the chicken? I'm not entirely sure, but it was definitely delicious. Other dishes like the "Tsukune with Secret Sauce and Egg Yolk" and the "Chicken Breast with Kishu Plum Paste" were also delicious. Everything I ate was tasty! So, I had beer, a tasting flight of three types of sake, and sweet potato shochu. We ate quite a lot, but I wanted to go to one more place, so we decided to finish here. On this day (late May), there seemed to be new staff in training. Some of them didn't notice when we called them or lacked in attentiveness when clearing empty plates. Well, I hope they improve in the future. Thank you for the meal! The total cost for what I remembered eating (excluding tax) was: "Chicken Heart" - 175 yen, "Grilled Chicken Breast with Wasabi" - 620 yen, "Sesame Oil-Pickled Chicken Liver" - 550 yen, "Yotsumi" - 195 yen, "Tsukune with Secret Sauce" - 295 yen, "Chicken Breast with Kishu Plum Paste" - 180 yen, "Smoked Radish and Cream Cheese" - 540 yen, "Tasting Flight of 3 Sakes" - 900 yen, "Sato Kuro" - 600 yen. I think the total bill for two people was in the 8000 yen range.

I visited a store at Hakata Station before and it was delicious, so this time I used it with my family during Golden Week. We entered at 6:00 pm and got the last seat with a time limit of 2 hours because there was a next reservation. It's fine because we plan to eat quickly. Everything we ate was delicious and the yakitori was really good. It's juicy but not greasy.

If there is cheese iburigakko, I can spend 2 hours. I don't know much about dishes other than Fukuoka, so I ordered the menu item cheese iburigakko. It was insanely delicious! Or rather, it was perfect as a drinking snack! It's like a dish where thinly sliced pickled radish is smoked and wrapped in cheese. It was too big to eat in one bite. I wish it was cut into smaller pieces, but it had a chewy texture that made it enjoyable to bite into. It's not as tough as dried squid, but the more you chew, the more flavor you get, and you can savor it for a while with each bite. The smoky pickled radish flavor lingers, allowing you to enjoy your drink with just one piece. It was the best value for money cheese iburigakko. The tsukune was soft and delicious.

Today, I visited this restaurant for the first time for a drinking party with my boss! I chose a course with all-you-can-drink option as I wanted to enjoy some drinks! The course included: - Assorted appetizers (sesame sauce chicken breast, potato salad) - Seasonal vegetable salad - Grilled chicken skewers (4 skewers) - Chicken meatballs with raw egg yolk - Yangnyeom chicken - Salmon tea pickles The concept of the restaurant is to serve delicious and fresh chicken. They pay attention to the grilling and seasoning of each skewer, such as thigh, heart, tail, and neck (I think?). Personally, I enjoyed the tail skewer the most with its good fat content. Then, the meatballs with egg yolk! I love this way of eating! Mixing the meatballs with plenty of egg yolk in the sweet sauce is the best! The Yangnyeom chicken with its sweet and savory seasoning is a great accompaniment to drinks. As for the last dish... I do understand the desire for tea pickles and the saltiness of salmon. However, since it's a chicken restaurant, I felt it would've been better to have a chicken-based dish instead of "salmon tea pickles." A chicken and wasabi tea pickles would've been delicious as well! While thinking about these things, I thoroughly enjoyed the drinks and dishes!笑

I went drinking with friends in Akasaka, a place I don't usually go to. Is this in Tenjin? There are several branches of Charcoal Tiger here, I think I've seen it elsewhere. There were many types of yakitori and it was easy to drink. I personally appreciated the wide variety of sake. However, I didn't feel that there was a big difference compared to typical chain izakayas. I think it's good for people who like sake and drink in large groups. The prices were not too high. There were also many people who seemed to use it for company parties. ‍♂️
