It's been a while since I had Mangetsu-pon. Mangetsu-pon is located in Osaka Suminoe. I received the classic rice cracker size and the big size (about 10cm) so I took a picture of them. On the back, there is the wonderful name of Rikiomaru Matsuoka.

Full Moon Pon is a special product that is baked with carefully selected wheat flour and seasoned with a secret soy sauce to pass down the nostalgic taste of Japan. It can be enjoyed by anyone with peace of mind. On the back of the bag, it says that Full Moon Pon is seasoned by spraying soy sauce in a mist. The regular product is sprayed for 11 seconds, but the "Rich Flavor Full Moon Pon" is sprayed for 16 seconds to give it a rich flavor. Both the regular Full Moon Pon and the Rich Flavor Full Moon Pon were piled up at the nearby pharmacy, so I bought them for everyone at work after a long time. Both are priced at 127 yen per bag (tax included). When I opened the bag at home, I wondered if the smell was really that good. This Full Moon Pon, with 1.5 times the soy sauce, is truly delicious! People outside of Osaka may not have many opportunities to eat it, but it is a very delicious snack loved by the common people. Thank you for the meal!

I saw a manufacturing factory featured on TV, and when I visited it because it was close to my workplace, I was surprised to see that it looked like a normal house. On TV, they were making takoyaki-like snacks by hand, flipping them while cooking on metal griddles, but because it's handmade, it seems they can do detailed checks. Even though it's not fully automated, I think it's impressive that they can produce products at a low price.

Osaka's local people are quite familiar with Matsoka Seika's "Mangetsu Pon," which is sold in supermarkets and convenience stores in Osaka. I was surprised to learn that Mangetsu Pon was actually produced in my hometown after becoming a working adult. I don't know how far it is sold in other prefectures, but it is a nostalgic snack for people from Osaka. However, only Yumika Yamahara knows the ultimate way to enjoy Mangetsu Pon. Here is the ultimate way to enjoy Mangetsu Pon: Ingredients: Normal soy sauce flavor Mangetsu Pon & your favorite takoyaki (this time from Takozo in Senri Chuo) (Do not use soy sauce 1.5 times the flavor, it will be too strong) How to enjoy: See the photo for the steps. This way of eating was provided by a nearby takoyaki shop and snack shop when I was a child, and I have not seen it at other shops since then. Known as "Pontako," this is the ultimate way to enjoy Mangetsu Pon. The soy sauce flavor of Mangetsu Pon and the sauce flavor of takoyaki may seem mismatched, but it is an unbeatable snack with beer (perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside!). Did anyone know about this?

Nostalgic snack! I never get tired of eating it no matter how many times I have it! It sticks to your teeth a bit (laughs). ● Mangetsu Pon (normal type) ● Mangetsu Pon (black honey soy sauce flavor) I thought there was only the red bag orthodox type, but when I searched online, I found out there are many different types, right? I think... Was it made by a family of 3-4 people? And, I didn't know it was from Osaka! Actually... I didn't know that this old man used to live in Kitakagaya when he was a newlywed! (sweat) If I confirm the address, this area is seriously where I used to go shopping on foot or by bike when I was newly married, right? Is it near the shopping street or not! (laughs) Oh, what a nostalgic area! Mangetsu Pon! Both flavors are good, right? The savory soy sauce flavor and the crispy texture are great. Now, I saw online that there are different ways to eat it, right? Please try various ways of eating it! (distant look)

"Black honey soy sauce flavor" It may be difficult to distinguish by appearance, but when you taste it, it is definitely refreshing and sweet♪ (Note) "Intense flavor Mangetsu Pon" Normally, soy sauce is sprayed in a mist for 11 seconds, but for the intense flavor, it is sprayed for 16 seconds, which is 5 seconds longer♪ (´ω`) (Note) For those living in Osaka, do you remember trying "Mangetsu Pon"? When I was a child, there was a candy store nearby where I used to enjoy the large, sweet and salty soy sauce and seaweed sprinkled treat... I used to go there with my pocket money, from 5 yen for two pieces to 10 yen for two pieces... Sometimes my parents would buy a big can for me to eat, but as the elderly owners and lack of successors led to the store closing down... That's when I discovered Mangetsu Pon♪(*´∀`*) At first, the slightly sweet and salty flavor was unfamiliar to me, but now I'm used to it♪ Personally, I prefer the slightly lighter soy sauce flavor mixed in, that's my favorite♪(´ω`) I usually start with the lighter ones and then move on to the stronger ones... (´Д`) I recently found out that many people prefer the stronger flavor, so I came across a new version called "Intense flavor"♪ I also discovered new flavors like "Black honey flavor" and "Salt flavor" so I bought them too♪ It's like a rare find, right? (´ω`) I haven't tried them yet, so I will share my thoughts later♪(*´∀`*)

I came to England to watch the Rugby World Cup South Africa match... just kidding (^◇^;) I ended up lounging at home for a while... and when I casually turned on the TV, I saw rugby. Oh... the World Cup was on... huh?! (◎_◎;) Japan was having a close match with South Africa?! The dynamic movement on the screen had me glued to it (^^) The Cherry Blossoms jersey moving vertically and horizontally... (^^) As rumored, Japan has gotten stronger, huh (^^) Well, there are some criticisms about the fact that there are many foreign players in the Japan team... but if they have the feeling of fighting with the Japanese flag on their chest, then that's good enough (^^) In fact, I want to say thank you... Watching the game on TV with beer and snacks. Looking at the snack box, I found "Mangetsu Pon" (^◇^;) It's nostalgic... It's not someone's exclusive item, but just a family snack... After confirming this important fact (this is an important step, otherwise there may be trouble later), I settled back in front of the TV. However... it was a great game. A truly intense offense and defense battle (^^) And then, after a long time, I had the Mangetsu Pon‼️ Same old taste. A very light soy sauce flavor. The taste I had when I was a child. Nostalgic...( ; ; )( ; ; )( ; ; )However... it doesn't go well with beer⤵️ I didn't know as a child...(≧∇≦) Falling behind... catching up. Falling behind... catching up. The tension felt from the screen. And finally... a dramatic try to reverse the game...( ; ; )( ; ; )( ; ; )An intense last-minute victory. Congratulations to the Rugby fans who are members of the Tabelog community (^_-) That was the historic big win and Mangetsu Pon (^◇^;) But... the name... Mangetsu Pon‼️ (^^) A well-named snack.

If you're from Osaka, you probably often bought Mankitsu Pon as a souvenir when you were a child. Recently, I received red pickled ginger tempura as a gift. Red pickled ginger tempura is something that people outside of Kansai probably don't eat, so I was wondering who would buy it. However, I tried it anyway. It has a strong ginger flavor, but I think it goes well with alcohol.

I was born and raised in East Japan, and the first time I encountered Mangetsu Pon was at a supermarket in Okayama Prefecture where I lived during my university years. I fell in love with the simple soy sauce flavor and ate it often during my student days. After that, I moved to Okinawa, where I rarely came across Mangetsu Pon. The only exception was about 15 years ago when I happened to find it being sold at the Daiso snack corner on the first floor of the former Korinza (now Okinawa City Library) and purchased it. Since then, I have been chasing the ghost of Mangetsu Pon every time I visit Daiso, but I couldn't find it. The other day, when I was talking about this with someone from Kansai, they laughed and said, "Just buy it on Amazon, what a fool." That's right, I can just buy it on Amazon! It was a bit expensive at 1,700 yen for a pack of 6 weighing 90g each (about 284 yen per pack), but as a Prime member, I didn't have to pay for shipping (shipping to Okinawa Prefecture can be quite expensive), and it arrived in 3 days after ordering. I had it delivered to my workplace and immediately started eating a pack during work. It's an addictive taste. Next time, I'll try ordering the stronger flavor.

I received a rice cracker. It's not sweet, it's soy sauce flavored. It's like a hard version of wheat gluten snack. It sticks to the roof of your mouth and teeth, and makes your throat dry if you keep eating. It's a nostalgic snack. Thank you for the meal.

Blog ⇒ [Riding on the Flowing Clouds♪] I want to travel. I want to travel. I want to travel. I want to travel. I want to travel. I want to travel. I want to travel. I want to travel. I want to travel. I want to travel. However, the momentum of the new coronavirus shows no signs of stopping... And on top of that, the abnormally worsening climate disaster that is expanding year by year... Furthermore, we are in the midst of typhoon season. Come to think of it, I haven't left Hyogo Prefecture in 2022. The truth is, I haven't traveled outside the prefecture at all this year. This might be the first time since my student days. No wonder I'm feeling stressed. It's accumulating little by little. It's like a body blow in boxing, right? Will it hit me so hard that I won't be able to stand later? If that's the case, I need to travel as soon as possible or it'll be a disaster! However, it still feels like the timing is a bit off and the weather isn't good (;_;) But, it's almost the perfect season for traveling soon, so I'll endure a little longer to fully enjoy the autumn, which is getting shorter year by year! Nevertheless, going crazy without any excitement is not an option, so I decided to have a bit more fun than usual by shopping♪ So, I went to my usual "Yamada Store"! There, I found and bought "Mangetsu Pon" from "Matsuoka Seika"! It's nostalgic! I used to eat it a lot when I was a child. This simple taste is really addictive. I introduced "Ponsen" from "Marsa Seika" before, but this "Mangetsu Pon" may be more familiar to some people. In any case, the fact remains that it is nostalgic and delicious. The only thing that has changed is that it used to be a snack in my childhood, and now it's a side dish for alcohol, haha.

Mitsuki Pon is a type of cheap rice cracker snack often found in Osaka. I don't dislike it and it's fine as a snack, but I wouldn't buy it myself. However, when it's given as a gift after a meal, it feels different. It's a nice touch to receive this kind of local snack as a service after having a grilled fish set meal. Of course, it was consumed as a snack with alcohol afterwards... (laughs)

At the MEGA Don Quijote in Kita Ward, Osaka, there is a snack called "Mangetsu Pon" by Matsoka Seika, priced at 30 yen excluding tax for 90g. The snack has a simple ingredient list of domestic wheat flour, soy sauce, sugar, and salt. It also includes amino acids from sugarcane, black sugar syrup, and palm oil. It is a vegan-friendly snack made without alcohol or animal products, and does not use sugar derived from cow bones. The snack has a round shape with a slightly moist and crispy texture, reminiscent of freshly coated wet senbei with a soy sauce flavor. While some may find it unappetizing due to its texture, others may enjoy it as a light snack. Matsoka Seika, a company established in 1958, is the only remaining producer of this nostalgic local snack in Osaka, which is now available in stores like Daiso.

"Mangetsu Pon" is a snack that everyone in Osaka has eaten as a child. The name is memorable and catchy. I tried it when I heard about it and it has a crispy and fluffy texture, similar to a rice cracker. It is slightly sweet with a hint of soy sauce flavor, which is just right. I bought it at a supermarket in Awaji. I thought it was a rice cracker, but it turned out to be a wheat-based baked snack. It was a pleasant surprise!

I received a snack that had a retro candy-like feel to it, and when I looked at the manufacturer, I found the name of this shop. It seems to be a shop in Osaka. The snack is called "Mangetsu Pon." The package has an illustration of a rabbit. It says it's a sweet and salty soy sauce flavor. It comes in a pack of 2, with a crispy and light texture. It does have a sweet and salty taste, just as it says. Overall, it gives off a light, retro candy-like impression.

I tried this "Mangetsu Pon" that was sold at a nearby supermarket. It is palm-sized and quite light. It has a thin soy sauce color and a unique soy sauce flavor. It goes better with Japanese tea than with coffee.

In January 2016, I found "Mangetsu Pon" at "Tenjinbashi-suji Shotengai" in Osaka and bought it after a long time. I used to love the savory soy sauce flavor when I was a kid and ate it often. It's not the crunchy texture like typical senbei, but the crispy texture was addictive. The description of Mangetsu Pon (from the store's website) is a sweet and savory soy sauce flavored crispy pon senbei. It's a taste of old Osaka downtown. Each piece is carefully baked with love in the traditional way, so they can't make a lot at once. They don't use additives like baking powder, so each senbei has a different shape and thickness. It may be a bit irregular, but it's a simple and delicious hand-baked pon senbei full of love. I had it after a long time, and the savory soy sauce flavor is still great. At first, it may seem a bit light in taste, but as you eat it, the soy sauce flavor becomes perfect. I didn't know it was handmade, so I felt grateful for the effort put into making it. Now there are different types like "Pucchin Mangetsu Pon" available, so I'll try another one next time. Thank you for the meal!

Today I feel like eating nostalgic snacks. This round snack is a representative of Osaka! I remember seeing it on a TV show, where the inside of a traditional Japanese house turned into a factory. The packaging design gets a rating of 3.5 stars, while the taste of the snack itself gets 3.4 stars. The texture is crispy and simple, with a strong soy sauce flavor that is delicious. The cost performance is rated 3.5 stars. It was a long time since I last had it, but it was really tasty. Thank you for the meal!
