There is no cafe corner, but there is a small eat-in space next to it. I ordered an iced coffee for 380 yen and a Yuzu rare cheesecake and a strawberry Mont Blanc. The male staff member who served us seemed a bit low on energy (laughs). The Yuzu rare cheesecake was a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, with a refreshing and delicious taste. The strawberry Mont Blanc, made with strawberries instead of chestnuts, had a rich cream with a hint of strawberry fragrance. I wasn't expecting much from a cake shop inside a supermarket, but it turned out to be a high-quality cake shop.

In the Hello Park in Ogori Kita-ku, on the same floor as the supermarket "Hello Day," there is a confectionery shop called Oyamada, which has its main store in Nogata. When I visited shortly after it opened last year, it seemed to have just a small eat-in corner, but this time when I visited, a beautiful green cafe space had been created. Named MIDORI NO CAFE, this area has 3 tables for 4 people each, 3 tables for 2 people each, and a total of 7 seats at the counter. There are also seats with green objects for privacy, making it a relatively relaxing space without partitions from the supermarket. I wondered if it was shared with the neighboring drink shop, but the menu on the table where I sat was only from Oyamada. I tried the Halloween version of the "Pumpkin Mont Blanc," which cost a total of 724 yen (tax included) with a herb tea called "Caritas Afternoon" for 250 yen (drinks are 100 yen off when ordered as a set). The pumpkin itself is on top of the Mont Blanc peak and hidden inside the cake as well. The mild pumpkin cream has a sweet and smooth taste, and the pumpkin inside the cake is also sweet and has a good flavor. The cake contains both whipped cream and custard cream, creating a delicious and elegant taste. The white chocolate-like wings spread on top. The herb tea paired perfectly with the cake and had a beautiful and soothing flavor. The "Caritas Afternoon" herb tea is a blend of green tea, linden, and lavender. Caritas is said to represent the three goddesses of elegance and beauty in Greek mythology, making the naming quite poetic. The herb tea was very enjoyable. The young male staff member who was left in charge of the shop was friendly, and he made the herb tea with care and attention.
