During my trip to Nagano, I visited a famous cake shop here. I tried the cute strawberry cake and the white tiramisu. Both had a similar texture, with a hard outer layer and a mousse-like interior that melts in your mouth. The white tiramisu could have had a stronger cocoa flavor. I got a bit tired of the taste. However, the prices are much cheaper compared to Tokyo. I also ordered the cheese soft serve, which looked nice but the cheese flavor was too subtle, so I wouldn't recommend it. They have a wide variety of products, but I wonder which one is their best recommendation here.

Silver World - First purchase. I finally got the Silver World which I've been wanting, and there were two types available, but I chose the Cheese Butter. It's a dorayaki but not the usual kind, a unique sweet treat. The flavor and richness of the cheese really come through, and it's very delicious. Cheese lovers might find it irresistible. There are also many other tempting cakes, skewered dumplings, and more in the store, making it a fun place to visit just to look around.

The final stop on a drive towards Chitose and Nagano is the sister store of Furuta, called "Akatsuki". I am not good with sweets, so I am the driver. Even though I am not good with sweets, I can still understand them to some extent. The taste is gentle, without any sharp edges or strong flavors. It is easy to eat. They offer both Western and Japanese sweets, which is appreciated by the elderly. There is a parking lot, making it stress-free. It is a friend of the common people. The prices are a bit higher than Shatoreze. I will definitely go back again, or rather, I will be taken there again. ❤️

Akatsuki Patisserie FURUTA, a shop that opened in Nagasuma-cho, offers both Western and Japanese sweets that have been gaining attention. Their "Maji Soft" for 450 yen is a must-try. The soft serve ice cream is topped with cheese and sparkling silver flakes, giving it a unique and delicious taste that will make you say "wow" with the combination of cheese and milk flavors. I highly recommend it. This shop also offers delicious deep-fried bread, although it was sold out today. When they have it, be sure to try it! It's topped with plenty of whipped cream, so enjoy it to the fullest.

After eating Genghis Khan, I wanted to have soft serve ice cream on my way back! I went to Akatsuki, which is always rumored to be crowded, and indeed it was crowded! The reason became clear as soon as I entered the store! Inside the showcase were many delicious looking cakes ♡ Next to them was a dango shop. Inside the refrigerated case were puddings and red bean soup, along with countless other Japanese sweets! It made sense why it was crowded. I also got a cake to go, but I ate it before taking a picture. The soft serve ice cream was refreshing and very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I often pass by Nagano, so I was always curious and finally got to visit. They had a variety of delicious sweets and cakes, both Japanese and Western style. It was stylish and cute. I bought some souvenirs and tried the soft serve ice cream and skewered dumplings. The soft serve had cheese on top, which was a new sensation. The dumplings were easy to eat with flat rice cakes. Everything was delicious. I would like to try the cakes next time I visit.

A stylish and beautiful confectionery shop in Nagano Town that offers a wide variety of delicious Japanese and Western sweets. There are parking lots available near the store. You can also dine in, making it a perfect stop on your way back from Nagano Onsen.

The morning strawberry, pear, apple, lemon, orange were amazing. My companion wanted lemon but it was still frozen so we chose the Western-style strawberry daifuku instead. The strawberry inside the daifuku was not too sweet, with a hint of sourness, and very delicious. I chose the morning strawberry. The moment I split the strawberry in two was thrilling. I must try the other morning series too!

In June 2023, along National Route 337, there is a large renovated warehouse turned into a sweet shop that offers a wide variety of both Japanese and Western confectionery. The shop is very tempting and you may end up buying too much, so it's better to calm down for a moment. The "Morning Strawberry" for 480 yen is amazing with its strawberry flavor, not just in appearance but also in taste, with a crispy chocolate coating and a delicious mousse that is not too sweet. The "Silver World (Cheese Butter)" for 290 yen is a great combination of Japanese and Western flavors, with a buttery fluffy dough and a balanced cheese taste. The "Serious Soft (Milk)" for 400 yen is topped with silver foil, not too sweet but refreshing like fresh milk, smooth and light on the palate, really delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went to eat there because it had been featured in the media multiple times. Instead of trying the popular cheese soft serve, I decided to have some cake inside the shop. I purchased a strawberry tart and an apple pie, but the pastry was not crispy, so it was more like a cake than a tart. Also, the interior of the shop was not very clean. Personally, I felt that it might be better to just stick with the soft serve for takeout.

I went to Asagiri-san, which I've been curious about for a while, first thing in the morning. The exterior and interior have a lovely atmosphere. The cakes all looked cute and delicious, making it hard to choose! The sweet buns also looked very tasty! This time, I bought plain and cream-filled sweet buns, chocolate Mont Blanc, and matcha cheesecake. The cream-filled sweet bun was a bit heavy, so I recommend the plain one! The matcha cheesecake had red bean paste inside and was delicious. It's a bit disappointing that there wasn't much matcha flavor. I didn't quite like the dough under the chocolate Mont Blanc. I'd like to try other cakes and sweet buns next time! The baked goods and traditional Japanese sweets like dorayaki also looked delicious!

After having lunch at "Tokyo Hormone" in Yoshimura-cho, I visited "Akatsuki Patisserie Furuta" in Higashimachi, Nagano-cho, which I had been wanting to visit for a long time. This shop, renovated from a rice warehouse, has a commanding presence. It was packed with cars on a Sunday, showing its popularity. Inside the shop, beautiful Western and Japanese sweets were lined up, with an eat-in space available. I purchased "Akatsuki's Strawberry" for 480 yen, "Akatsuki Rare Cheese" for 450 yen, and two "Akatsuki Puddings" for 350 yen each. On the way home, I bought "Akatsuki Serious Soft Mix" for 450 yen and enjoyed it in the shop. "Akatsuki's Strawberry" was a cake shaped like a real strawberry, with strawberry mousse, jam, and jelly perfectly matching each other, creating a delicious sweet and sour taste. "Akatsuki Rare Cheese" was a beautiful marble sphere, with a perfect balance of creamy cheese and sweet and sour wood strawberry sauce. "Akatsuki Pudding" had a strong egg flavor and a smooth mousse-like texture that melted in the mouth. "Akatsuki Serious Soft Mix" was a soft serve ice cream made with flavorful ricotta cheese, with a rich yet light taste. The mix allows you to enjoy both milk and chocolate flavors. The surface was sprinkled with shiny Grana Padano cheese powder, adding a touch of elegance. These high-quality products truly reflect the craftsmanship and dedication of the artisans.

I saw the cake online and thought it was cute, so I decided to visit the shop for the first time. Even though it was a weekday morning, there were quite a few customers, and the staff seemed busy. I was drawn to the anmitsu and water manju in the refrigerated case, as well as the dorayaki on the regular shelf, but I couldn't take my eyes off the cakes. And there were skewered dumplings too! They also looked intriguing. Amidst my indecision, I finally purchased the strawberry and white tiramisu cakes (the strawberry one was for my child). When I got home, I opened them right away. When I inserted my fork, the cream seemed surprisingly firm. But when I tasted it, it melted softly in my mouth. Huh? What's going on? With a bigger bite, I noticed the cream had a crispy surface. But it still melted. As I continued eating, I discovered cheese cream and white sponge inside. And this white sponge, even though it's white, tastes like coffee! Coffee-flavored but white. Tiramisu-flavored but white. It's too mysterious, isn't it? To sort out my thoughts, I decided to eat it again (or maybe just because I wanted to). I also tried a bite of the most popular strawberry mousse, but it tasted more like strawberry milk than actual strawberries.

I went to Nagano for a hot spring bath and heard that a new sweets shop had opened, so I visited a few times but the timing never worked out. This time was my first purchase. When I entered the door, there was a Japanese sweets section and in the back a large showcase with cakes and rice cakes lined up. There was also a spacious seating area. It was before noon but the place was packed with customers. It's a really popular shop, I was surprised! The cakes all looked delicious, but since I was going to the hot spring, I bought soft serve ice cream that I could eat right away. I also bought a dorayaki and skewered rice cakes that my companion wanted. The "Akatsuki Serious Soft Cheese" soft serve ice cream (450 yen) has a rich dairy flavor using ricotta cheese, an original soft serve by Akatsuki. Gravatano cheese is generously topped on it. When you walk around holding it, the cheese flakes off. I wonder if it's just cheese that's sprinkled on it? There are shiny things and black grains on it. The ricotta cheese flavor is subtle, with a refreshing milk flavor. Unlike smooth soft serve, the Gravatano cheese doesn't melt in your mouth and honestly, it's not necessary. The skewered rice cakes (mitarashi) (200 yen) are flat rice cakes cut into slices and skewered. They have a not too sweet mitarashi sauce, which is delicious but at 200 yen per skewer, it's expensive. The dorayaki (cheese butter) (300 yen) has granulated sugar sprinkled on it, with a crispy texture. The sweet cheese flavored butter cream inside is delicious, but both are sweet, so overall impression is that it was too sweet! Next time, I want to try the cakes! Thank you, Akatsuki!

Recently, there has been an increase in charming shops in the Nagayama-cho area, with a famous pastry chef from Sapporo opening a store in Nagayama and eye-catching storefronts renovated from rice warehouses. The area around the shop was full of cars, making it difficult to find parking. After circling around, we were able to slip into a parking spot just as a car was leaving. It was around 12:30 PM, and when we entered the shop, there was a long line at the register. My partner volunteered to wait in line to buy soft serve ice cream. My partner and our younger daughter got milk soft serve, while I and our older daughter got cheese soft serve. After about 20 minutes of waiting, we finally got our soft serve ice cream. It was topped with shiny cheese powder on the surface, which made us choke a bit as the powder got into our throats. My partner also choked a bit while tasting it, which made us laugh. When I asked how much it cost, my partner said it was around 400 yen, but as always, the estimate was a bit off. I couldn't include the price in the title... When we tried to eat outside, the cheese powder was blown by the wind like fine snow onto the person behind us. We quickly apologized, and they just smiled and said it was okay. We went back inside to enjoy our soft serve ice cream, and even the cone part was delicious. The cakes, puddings, baked goods, and Japanese sweets all looked delicious, but we didn't have the energy to line up again, so we quietly decided to go home. When we tried to leave in our car, there were several cars parked on the side of the one-lane road, and there was quite a bit of traffic in the opposite lane, so we couldn't leave for a while. This is not good. The soft serve ice cream from the popular patisserie was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Yesterday, I watched a video by Akatsuki on YouTube at the end of last year, saying that a sweets shop would open in Nagasuma Town! Since it's my hometown, I was interested and bought 10 puddings in winter, but I ended up giving them all as gifts. On my way back from visiting my parents during Golden Week, I bought cakes, puddings, and dorayaki to enjoy at home. There have been various new shops opening in Nagasuma Town in recent years. When I lived there, the population was 14,000, but now it's only 10,000... the population has decreased. They have strawberries, apples, and pears! And apparently they also have oranges and lemons. Just looking at them makes me happy. Many people were buying these cakes, after all. They are made really well, aren't they? The pears look so real when you take a step back. Inside, there is cream that brings out the flavor of the ingredients, along with sponge cake. The visual impact is strong, but it definitely lifts your spirits. The pudding is smooth and creamy with a milky taste, quite delicious. The dorayaki has a traditional appearance and taste, making it a good gift. The chunky red bean paste has a great taste. The owner, wearing a mask, I thought this from when I saw him on YouTube, but he somehow resembles Robert's Akinyama. He looks like he could appear on Creators' File...

Last month, after helping out at a tournament, I had low blood sugar on my way home. Shubichou stopped by "Akatsuki Patisserie Furuta" and got me a "Akatsuki Serious Soft Mix" soft serve ice cream. It comes in four flavors: "Cheese," "Milk," "Chocolate," and a mix of Milk and Chocolate. The mix is a perfect choice, with a rich chocolate taste. The cone is black cocoa flavored and delicious. It's hard to eat soft serve alone without insulin, so it's nice to have someone to share the cone with. Highly recommend trying it out!

The visual impact is amazing. It's like a piece of art! I chose the strawberry, pear, and berry cakes. There were other options that caught my eye, but since it was my first time, I decided to go with the popular ones. The store was crowded in the quiet town of Nagasawa, but luckily the cakes were being restocked continuously. The road to Nagasawa was also lovely, giving off a true Hokkaido vibe.

I decided to visit the restaurant as it seemed to have calmed down. The parking lot in front of the store was under construction, so I had to park in the empty space next to it, which was quite narrow. Inside, there were two staff members chatting while looking at something, and they didn't greet me with "welcome." The same thing happened when other customers arrived later. Inside the store, there were various sweets like dorayaki, pudding, and cakes. I bought a strawberry shortcake, apple pie, and they were all quite expensive. I also noticed soft serve ice cream, so I might come back to try it sometime.

I was looking for a place nearby to buy a cake, and there was a store I hadn't visited yet, so I decided to check it out. There seems to be parking available for a few cars around the store. The store was quite spacious, and they sold a variety of baked goods, traditional Japanese sweets, and bread as well. I was intrigued by the fruit-shaped cakes that are currently trending, but this time I chose a more classic option. I went with the Sachertorte, which had a strong taste of alcohol but was delicious! There were many other items that caught my eye, so I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal! (^-^)
