The cream puffs are usually not available, but they were only made during the Obon period and they were dangerously delicious. The sensation of Tahitian vanilla hitting you was pure bliss. The rich yet refreshing high-quality custard and the smooth choux pastry were amazing! The seasonal French pastries are always great, but the Japanese-style Western sweets like roll cakes and cream puffs are also incredibly delicious!

Around 12:30 in 2023, when I arrived at the store, there were no customers. Most of the cakes were already sold out. Luckily, there was one piece of the caramel chocolate cake I was looking for, so I was relieved. It was delicious, and it went well with the alcohol I had.

Visited on a weekday around 3:30 pm with no other customers. Despite appearing intimidating, don't worry about it! What I bought: 2 cakes for ¥600 each, 2 jams for ¥980 each, and macarons for ¥300. This is my third visit and everything I've tried has been fantastic! It's not cheap, but it feels like a good deal. I don't understand why this place isn't more popular. Highly recommended. I've reached my limit of 3 reviews per shop, so this will be my last one. However, I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

A hidden gem near the station with delicious food at a reasonable price and warm hospitality that makes you want to visit again. Despite all this, it's not often crowded with customers. I passed by the store and was intrigued, so I asked someone to buy it for me later. Therefore, this review is only about the taste. [Items purchased] Canele ¥300, Mango Pudding ¥550, Pistachio ¥550. They were all delicious (*´ω`*). If I had to pick one, I would say the pistachio was exceptional. It had a great melt-in-your-mouth texture and looked beautiful. This area is filled with many top sweets shops, but I think this place can easily compete in terms of deliciousness! The service seemed good too (^^). March 12, 2023, around 11:30 AM, visited the store with no customers. Tried the Chocolat Framboise for 550 yen, the acidity of the raspberry was a nice touch. Also had the coffee eclair for 450 yen. Couldn't decide between today's butter cake, ended up buying it again. Next time, I'll try the butter cake.

Located a 6-8 minute walk from Marutamachi Station, Patisserie Agreable is a standout pastry shop specializing in Western sweets among the array of delicious Japanese confectionery shops in the Kyoto area. This popular shop often sells out of most cakes by the evening, so it's best to visit in the early afternoon. This time, we ordered the popular Pistachio and Tart au Fig. The Pistachio, a combination of chocolate mousse and pistachio bavarois, was smooth and rich in pistachio flavor, while the crispy Tart au Fig featured a refreshing sweetness of figs paired with the creamy richness of the cream. Both were exquisite! Highly recommended for those who love Western sweets. Be sure to pay a visit. Thank you for the meal!

The Agreable, being the specialty of the shop, was quite delicious as expected with a nice sweetness from the chocolate. The other items were also tasty, so if this shop is nearby, it would be convenient for regular use.

This time, I bought Frasier, Classic, and Mont Blanc. I only took a picture of the whole thing. - Frasier The buttercream is not too sweet but has a very rich flavor. - Classic A moistly baked Gâteau Chocolat with chocolate ganache on top. It was surprisingly rich and had a heavy texture, tastier than I imagined. - Mont Blanc It is said to be a blend of French and Ehime chestnuts. I don't really know the characteristics of either chestnut, but I couldn't really feel the chestnut flavor. Both the meringue and whipped cream were delicious.

A small French pastry shop run by a couple. They serve authentic flavors learned in France, such as Diamant, Florentine, and pound cake, all with a strong buttery scent. The sweetness is also quite intense. The appearance is cute and they seem like they would go well with tea. ^^

I bought three different kinds: strawberry tart, raspberry and pistachio mousse, and forgot the name. Agreable, which is the same as the name of the store, has a rich and intense sweetness that dessert lovers will enjoy. The strawberry tart had a strong flavor, the pistachio cream stood out, and the raspberry mousse cake had a refreshing acidity followed by the rich pistachio cream, which I liked the most in terms of balance. I purchased a birthday cake for my family from a cake shop that I had been curious about for a while. They had the tart tatin that I was looking for! The cakes I bought this time were Tart Tatin Pistachio, Tarte au Fraises, Orange Caramel (I forgot the name...), Millefeuille Agréable. All the cakes were really delicious, but my favorites were Agréable and Tart Tatin. The Tart Tatin was moist and firm, with a strong sweetness but plenty of chunky apples. Agréable is probably the shop's signature item. It's really rich, with a smooth melting chocolate. The hint of liqueur gives it a pleasant and light flavor. The cakes are small but I think 500 yen in Kyoto is really cheap. Great value for money. Despite their small size, they are packed with deliciousness! There were so many varieties that it took me a while to choose, but the staff was really friendly! I want to go back again.

The cassis flavor is well pronounced, showcasing the chef's expertise, but the chestnut bavarois lacks a strong chestnut taste. I keep coming back because they have cakes that suit my taste, but their phone service is very poor. Be cautious.

I have been chasing after the croissant amandine from the secret menu, and it is so delicious that I have been wanting to go back for more. I had it once and I became obsessed. I was determined to go again when the opportunity arose. It's a secret menu item, so it's not available regularly. I check on Instagram, but it's hard to catch the right timing. It had been almost a year since my last visit. The last time I was there, I was treated so well and I was very grateful. I was worried about being recognized as a repeat customer, so I acted like it was my first time there. The lady there was as friendly and welcoming as ever. I called as soon as I arrived in Kyoto, and they were able to hold one for me. Even though it's a cake shop, the quality is even better than a bakery. The croissant amandine is priced at 350 yen including tax and it's quite large. The almond slices on top are overflowing and the texture and aroma are amazing. The croissant dough is buttery and fragrant with every bite. Inside, there is almond cream which goes perfectly with the croissant. I wanted to eat in, but they were closed due to the pandemic. I heard their cakes are also delicious, so I hope to be able to dine in next time I visit. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Agreable for the first time on Sunday at 2:25 pm. It was a silly scene where I had to go buy my own birthday cake. I bought five leftover cakes because there were only six left, so I just made it in time. The kids don't like cakes with alcohol, so I asked which ones had alcohol in them, and they kindly helped me choose. I took the cakes home and enjoyed them with my family. I had the Noel Pistachio cake, which had a rich pistachio mousse that paired well with the acidity of the berry jelly next to it. The prices were reasonable, and the quality was excellent, which made me happy. The fresh cakes were almost sold out, but the baked goods and jams were diverse and all looked delicious. The rich flavor made it suitable for a snack. ---March 2021--- Agreable 500 yen. Plenty of chocolate mousse, scattered nuts, and a thin sponge coated with molten chocolate at the bottom. Is there more chocolate mousse layers than before? It had a sweet and sour taste, making it easy to eat. Our freshly ground black coffee, just learned to use a coffee mill, was very light, so it went perfectly with this cake. It was delicious. The lady who is always at the store, is she the wife? A person with a good atmosphere and a lovely smile. Next time, I'll try a different cake. ---October 2019--- Pistache 500. A rich pistachio-flavored mousse. Grapes with a strong hint of alcohol. Overall, it was gentle and I finished it in no time. Agreable 500. Since the shop's name is on it, I thought it might be recommended, and it was my first time at the store, so I bought it. I felt a bit of greasiness from the three heavy chocolate toppings. With about 5 layers of various textures, the mousse was refreshing, making the cake easy to eat. I won't know until I try other cakes and baked goods, but I still feel like Toulouse is my favorite for chocolate cakes.
