The other day, on a Sunday night, I returned from a JR Kyushu walking event starting and ending at Nogata Station with my 8th grade daughter, and my wife and 4th grade daughter returned from a sports club match. We didn't feel like cooking, so we decided to go out to eat. We remembered a nearby restaurant we had visited in February, and noticed that the sign had changed. It used to be called "Morimori Hormone" Hatsumatsu branch, but now it was called "Yakiniku Sakaba Nanpo". We decided to give it a try. The recommended menu was the "6 kinds of beef platter" (2 servings for 4300 yen including tax), which included beef tongue, kalbi, sagari, maruchou, mino, and kekkan. The owner of the restaurant was the same as before, so it seemed like they had become independent from the chain. The menu had been narrowed down, focusing more on yakiniku, and the side dishes were limited. We ordered drinks - I had a draft beer, my wife had plum wine on the rocks, and the girls had cola. We ordered the "6 kinds of beef platter" and started grilling the beef tongue, kalbi, and sagari on the charcoal grill. The hormone meats came later, and we grilled those as well. The girls weren't very hungry, but my wife and I enjoyed the high-quality meat. Grilling the meat slowly on the charcoal grill was better than cooking in large quantities on a teppan. I'm sure we'll come back to this restaurant again in the future.
