For a weekday lunch, the presentation seems to focus on looking good. Recently, it seems like they have brought back the unlimited mentaiko (spicy cod roe). The tempura itself gives off a slightly oily impression, with a crispy texture rather than a fluffy one. Not really to my liking. There aren't many people, so it seems like you can take your time.

I went to Ebino-ya in KITTE Hakata. The restaurant was relatively empty, so I was lucky to be seated right away. I was craving tempura for dinner and was unsure where to eat, but this turned out to be the perfect choice. Tempura restaurants usually have high prices, but this place offers a reasonable price for a satisfying meal. You can even add more if you're still hungry. The side dishes are also delicious.

I arrived around 11:30. There was no line outside the store, but when I entered, there were only two empty seats. I ordered the tempura bowl. I didn't have high expectations because the reviews weren't that great, but it was delicious. The portion was generous and the clam soup was tasty. I might have wanted another bowl.

I am a resident of Kitakyushu and eating in Hakata was a first for me ☺️ There were many gourmet shops that I didn't know about, but I chose tempura! The red miso soup was delicious with a strong dashi flavor. The meal also came with mentaiko and a generous portion of rice, which I finished completely. Thank you for the delicious meal! 🪄

When I visited Fukuoka, I had the opportunity to try "takao" and "hirao" which are actually from Osaka. The tempura is brought to your table freshly fried, one or two pieces at a time. It is crispy, fluffy, and delicious! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is relaxing and perfect for a leisurely meal. This place is highly recommended for enjoying tempura with others!

My friend wanted to eat shrimp tempura, so we went to this restaurant. The atmosphere inside was calm, but there was a family with children at a nearby table who were making loud noises and not being controlled. We both ordered the lunch special, a luxurious tempura bowl for ¥1320. The restaurant also had counter seats where you could watch the staff frying the tempura right in front of you. As we waited and chatted, our impressive tempura bowls arrived. In addition to shrimp tempura, there were eggplant, pumpkin, squid, white fish, and egg tempura. The aroma of sesame oil added to the appetizing smell. All the tempura pieces were delicious, but the squid tempura was exceptionally tender and tasty. The meal also came with a red miso soup with clam, but the clams were very small and difficult to eat. It would be helpful if they could offer a regular miso soup as an alternative to the clam miso soup.

A new restaurant opened in April on the 10th floor of KITTE Hakata. I mistakenly thought it was a shrimp specialty store because of the name "Ebinoya," but it turned out to be a tempura restaurant. Despite my disappointment as a shrimp lover, I decided to try their food. The spacious interior of the restaurant includes counter seats, and they also offer tempura courses at night. For lunch, they have two options, and I chose the luxurious tempura rice bowl. It came with two large shrimp and was served with red clam miso soup and pickled cabbage. The tempura was crispy and delicious, and the egg tempura was perfectly runny. The red clam miso soup had a good flavor, although it was a bit difficult to eat the clams. Overall, I enjoyed the tempura with the unique blend of sesame oil, and it was a pleasant dining experience.

I was walking around KITTE wondering which shop to go into, and I saw a photo of tempura rice bowl that caught my eye, so I decided to visit. It turns out the shop just opened in April. The interior was very clean and elegant. There were only about 3 groups of customers, including me, and it was a quiet and sophisticated atmosphere. I ordered the luxurious tempura rice bowl for lunch for 1,320 yen. The bowl was covered with a lid and brought to me, which was a nice touch. It had tempura shrimp, squid, eggplant, cod, egg, and pumpkin, all freshly fried. The egg was half-cooked with a runny yolk inside. The miso soup had lots of tiny clams in it, and it took me a while to pick them up with chopsticks because they were so small. The pickles had spicy cod roe sprinkled on them, which was a nice touch. KITTE tends to have a vibe where younger customers feel comfortable, so having a shop that older customers can also enjoy is a good idea.

This time, I went to Ebisuya KITTE Hakata store located at 9-1 Hakata Station Central Street, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, 10th floor of KITTE Hakata. It was for lunch. The parent company is Fujio Food Group, a major chain that operates popular brands such as Maido Ookini Shokudo, Kushiya Monogatari, and Handmade Izakaya Kappo Gi. The exterior of the restaurant is very calm and has a nice atmosphere. The food samples in the showcase are neatly displayed. The interior is bright, with a Japanese atmosphere and lattice patterns that add a sense of luxury. There are counter seats where you can see the food being fried in front of you, as well as table seats. The lunch menu currently includes two options: Luxurious Tempura Bowl for lunch for 1320 yen and Ebisuya Special Set for 1650 yen. I ordered the Tempura Bowl, which includes 2 prawns, seafood, seasonal vegetables, red miso soup, and cabbage with mentaiko. The Tempura Bowl is served with the lid overflowing with ingredients, making it very generous. The vegetables include eggplant and poached egg. The poached egg is half-cooked, so the yolk is creamy. The dipping sauce is not too sweet and has a slightly strong flavor, similar to Kanto-style sauce. The red miso soup is filled with clams, and the cabbage with mentaiko is also delicious. It was a satisfying meal, thank you.

I heard that it was the opening day today, so I went there. I thought there would be a line, but surprisingly, there were no customers at all. The prices were similar to what you would expect from "Ebinoya", but is this really "Ebinoya"? The tempura was delicious, but the "mentaiko" was not all-you-can-eat, and the prices were high, so I was surprised. How about having tempura at this price in Fukuoka? Thank you for the meal.

I went during peak hours, but it was only about 50% full. The staff seemed to be short-handed and were rushing around. The tempura had a thick batter, which is not to my liking. I prefer a lighter batter.
