Hello everyone, what's up? It's MoriP, who loves to eat around Fukuoka! Today, I visited "Yoigashi Koubou Keiichi". The dessert I tried looked like a rare cheesecake, but it tasted more like a version of strawberry shortcake without the strawberries. It had layers of sponge cake, souffle cheesecake, rare cheesecake, sponge cake, and whipped cream. The sponge cake and whipped cream had a strong egg flavor, so the cheese flavor wasn't too overpowering. You could slightly taste the acidity of the rare cheesecake. The whipped cream was light and easy to eat with a soft texture.

Hello, it's Kyantama, the food fighter! I went to a cake shop near Koga Station. Currently, Koga City is running a PayPay campaign, so I felt like I got a good deal. I bought a Mont Blanc and a cream puff. The Mont Blanc had a great combination of cream and chestnut. The cream puff was not too sweet, and the cream was a perfect match. The shop was bustling with customers who seemed to be stopping by after work.

<March 2015 revisit> Today is a revisit~. My wife bought cakes from Kekichi-san the other day~. The cakes I purchased this time were Pudding-chan (matcha mousse pudding), Kekichi (cake named after the shop), Ichiz (cheesecake with macaron on top), and Rouge (raspberry & mousse cake). The names at Kekichi-san are all original and cute, aren't they? Rouge has a nice balance of sweet and sour with the raspberry, and the mousse was sweet and just right, I liked it~. It's great to have a cake shop nearby where you can easily buy cakes. Thank you for the meal~. <August 2014 first visit> It's been a few months since I moved into my current house... There's a cake shop near my house that I've been curious about for a while, but I never had the chance to buy anything until now. It's a small cake shop, and it seems like some items are sold out by the evening, especially the cream puffs which are popular. The cakes I bought this time were Choco Chic (cake similar to gateau chocolat), Pinky (cake with cherries on top), Popular item (I should have asked the staff what cake it was, but I think it was apricot), and Cheese Romance (rich baked cheesecake). The sweetness overall was moderate and easy to eat. Personally, I liked Cheese Romance the most for its rich cheese flavor. The other cakes I bought were also good: Pinky, with the sweet and sour cherries and mousse blending well; Choco Chic, with a rich chocolate taste; and Popular item, with a mild sweetness and a nice apricot flavor. Overall, my impression was neither good nor bad... It's convenient to be able to buy cakes on the way home, so I can recommend it. I hope the shop does well since it's in the neighborhood. Thank you for the meal~.

Cake shop located a 3-minute walk from JR Koga Station. They have a variety of cakes in the morning, but by evening, most of them are sold out. I heard their choux cream is delicious, so I wanted to buy it, but when I visited in the evening, it was already sold out. I want to try again next time. The cassis mousse is not too sweet and easy to eat. It has a flavor that makes you want to eat more. The tiramisu is made with sponge cake instead of cream, and it's delicious. I hope this shop continues to thrive in Koga. I would like to visit again.

Located just a 1-minute walk from Koga Station on the JR Kagoshima Main Line in Koga City. It's on the way from Koga Station to Fukuoka Bank, on the left side. The exterior of the shop is more like a store for Japanese miscellaneous goods rather than a cake shop. Inside, it has a traditional Japanese house style with old wooden shelves in front of the showcase, cakes displayed on ceramic plates. The display stands in the shop are also made of wood, with cookies and other baked goods in baskets. The windows have sudare blinds, giving the shop a full Japanese taste. This stylish atmosphere seems to be popular in Koga City. I bought two types of strawberry shortcakes and a strawberry tart, all for 400 yen (I think). The prices are on the higher side, but the appearance is cute and the cakes are carefully made and delicious.

After returning from Goka's Goten-an, I stopped by Keikichi, which had caught my eye. I purchased an apple cake for 380 yen, a cassis mousse for 300 yen, a cream puff for 180 yen, and a pudding for 150 yen. The storefront had a Japanese-style atmosphere, which was quite lovely, but even though I went after 12 o'clock, there weren't many items available. It seemed like they didn't make a lot. As for the taste... The apple cake had layers of custard and stewed apples, but the sweetness was too mild, giving off a taste of just eggs and apples... Moreover, the apples were quite mushy and seemed tired. Even though it was stewed, it was only on the surface, almost half-cooked. It felt like a waste to eat that apple... The cassis mousse was a sour mousse with chocolate sponge and whipped cream for decoration. The preparation seemed a bit rough, but it was decently delicious. The cream puff was just delicious. The pudding felt like something made at home. The caramel sauce was weak, but that's my preference. The most delicious item was probably the cream puff. They seem to care about the names of the cakes, but they use nandina leaves for decoration, cheap old apples, and since it's a cake, I wish they would pay more attention to the ingredients. It's too bad. If you want to buy cakes here, I recommend going a little further to Au Verger Nue.

The exterior looks stylish with a hint of Japanese taste, but it is definitely a Western-style pastry shop! The interior is a bit dark, making it hard to see the showcase without entering. It's a small shop, so once you enter, you feel like you have to buy something before leaving. Today, I was recommended by a friend that "the cream puffs here are delicious," so I entered with the purpose of buying cream puffs. However, even though it was around 12:30 on a weekday, there were only 2 cream puffs left. It must be a popular item. When I asked, "Are these the last 2?" the staff replied, "Yes." It seems like there won't be more baked anytime soon, so those who want to buy should go early. In the end, I bought the cream puffs, a Chou Chou (180 yen), and a cheese souffle (120 yen). The showcase had a variety of cute cakes, but I'll try those next time. Overall, the prices seemed a bit high for the size, but they looked delicious. They also had a good selection of baked goods. About 6 years ago in October, I visited this shop to buy a strawberry whole cake for my daughter's first birthday, but I was told, "Strawberries are not in season, so we don't use them at this time. It's impossible for us." It seems like they have a strong commitment or policy at this shop. The way they said it was a bit cold, though. They didn't ask about the time it would take to get home, and when I checked later, there were no ice packs inside. Oh, there's no service... Next time I go, I'll have to bring a cooler bag and ice packs...I also saw cooler bags being sold in the shop (I don't remember the price). The Chou Chou and cheese souffle I had at home were delicious. The Chou Chou had a crispy choux pastry, which I like, with plenty of cream and just the right amount of sweetness. The cheese souffle was light and melty, and it was also delicious. I wish it was a bit bigger. I enjoyed them both!

I checked out a food blog and found a cake shop nearby that looked delicious, so I went there eagerly. It was easy to find as it faced the main street. I saw the sign and realized it's pronounced as "Keikichi". Excitedly, I entered the shop. Inside, there were cute and tasty-looking cakes displayed in a chic setting. They had various types like mousse, sponge, jelly, and even baked goods. I bought Madeleine for 300 yen and Chirin for 400 yen. The popular Mont Blanc was recommended. The naming is nice, right? I also got Momo-chan for 400 yen, a peach tart, and Fleur for 380 yen, a strawberry shortcake with mousse on top, I think. I bought them quickly so I don't remember the details. I brought them to my husband's parents' house so I couldn't taste them all, which is a shame! I want to try them all. I think the Madeleine is almond-flavored with chocolate inside, and the layers of sponge and cream match well and taste delicious! The peach tart had a crispy tart base and was very tasty, but the peaches weren't sweet enough. Too bad. I want to go back during the tart season and try the others.

This is a cake shop near JR Koga Station. It's about a 1-2 minute walk from the west exit of the station. The exterior doesn't immediately look like a cake shop. As mentioned in Mimi's review, it looks more like a Japanese-style miscellaneous goods shop. The overall look is unified in brown with a Japanese-style interior. The showcase is filled with adorable cakes. The names are cute and fun to look at. On this day, I bought a cream puff called "shushu." The outer layer was crispy pastry and the inside was filled with plenty of cream and vanilla beans. It felt heavy when held, and was quite filling after eating one. They also have baked goods other than cakes. The staff were friendly and made shopping a pleasant experience. I look forward to buying a cake next time!
