This is a small yakitori restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Omuta Station. The menu mainly consists of yakitori skewers, but they also offer a good selection of side dishes and even motsunabe (offal hot pot). I ordered a variety of skewers, including yakitori chicken skin, tsukune (chicken meatballs), negima (chicken and leek), pork belly, darmu (pork intestine), and lettuce cheese rolls. The prices are a bit odd because they include a 10% tax. They even had darmu on the menu, which is a type of white offal commonly found in Kurume, which is close to Omuta. All the skewers were delicious and worth the price. My favorite was the lettuce cheese rolls, with plenty of cheese and a satisfying taste. I also tried the tofu teppanyaki-style okonomiyaki, which was served on a hot plate and made with crushed tofu as the base, topped with bonito flakes and mayonnaise. It was a generous portion and very tasty. I wanted to try more dishes, but I was already full from the tofu teppanyaki. Overall, a great dining experience. Cheers with two glasses of hot watered-down sweet potato shochu for 440 yen each.
