Since it's in Yukuhashi City, it's quite far from Kokura Station, but I found it on Instagram and was curious, so I went there. Depending on the day, time, and starting point, it takes about 40 minutes by car from Kokura Station, or 30 minutes using the highway according to the navigation system. It feels like a little excursion to get there. There aren't many other interesting places around the destination, so if you don't have a specific reason like wanting to eat the hamburgers here, you probably wouldn't go there. We arrived and I apologize for not taking a photo of the exterior, but it's a trendy and stylish bus that looks very Instagrammable. There are about three parking spaces nearby, so we parked there and boarded the bus. This was my first time at a trendy bus restaurant, and it was surprisingly spacious. The kitchen area is small, so if they get a lot of orders at once, it might take some time, but given the location, it doesn't seem like there would be sudden rushes of customers. It was a little past 12 on a weekday, and there was only one customer inside the bus. Maybe due to the state of emergency, there were more takeout orders? However, we decided to dine in! Food gets cold if you take it home. We ordered and sat down on chairs, observing the inside of the bus. I thought to myself, "I could live here... it looks like it would be fun to live here..." but it was extremely cold because they kept the entrance door wide open for ventilation. It wasn't particularly cold that day, but the bus was surrounded by fields or rice paddies? I think it was rice paddies. Since there was nothing around, maybe the wind was blowing in? It was really cold. Shivering, we waited, and about 15 minutes later, the takeout order for the previous customer was ready. Our order arrived about 20 minutes after that, so it took about 35 minutes from ordering. Understandable given that it seemed to be a one-person operation and the kitchen was small. The burgers we received weren't huge in terms of volume, but they were more balanced. The avocado, tomato, bacon, and ham were thinly sliced, and the patty was on the smaller side. There was a lot of lettuce, but overall, the first impression wasn't about the impact of the size but more about the balance. If this had cost 1800 yen, I would have questioned the volume. On the other hand, if they had piled on more ingredients, even at 1800 yen, it would have been worth it. The location probably plays a role, but in any case, it's cheap. The burger set includes a burger, side dish, and drink for 1200 yen. You can choose between fries or nuggets as the side dish, which is a great option. Only one customer came for takeout while we were there, so maybe there are quite a few locals who order takeout. There's no public transportation near the nearest station, but the patty had a rich meaty flavor, and the buns were soft and fluffy, making it a very delicious restaurant. If it were closer, I'd think about it... but if it were closer, the price range would probably be different. But wait, at least if they were a kitchen car at Funabashi Square... I found myself thinking about such things because the taste was so good and I want to eat it again. I don't often go to Yukuhashi, so... If you happen to be in the area, please give it a try. It's especially recommended for those who are on Instagram because of its photogenic quality.
