I recently went to a very popular restaurant called "Ichishin" that my friend took me to. Despite being located in a hard-to-find place in the basement of a mixed building behind Hilton, there were customers lining up even before the opening. We were able to get in on the first rotation since the capacity is reasonable. The daily lunch special costs 1200 yen and for that day, it was grilled mackerel with plum salt koji. The mackerel, with its fatty and crispy texture, was delicious. It also came with two side dishes and unlimited refills of rice in a wooden rice container. I of course asked for a refill of the rice as it was so deliciously fluffy. The balance between the price and the quality of the food was excellent, making it a great value lunch.

On September 13, 2023, in Osaka, Nishi-Umeda, I went to "Gohan-ya Isshin" located at B1F, Romantic Club Building, 2-4-43 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka. They serve delicious pork simmered in soy sauce. Today, I was craving for this melt-in-your-mouth simmered pork. The set meal comes with unlimited rice and a simmered egg soaked in broth which was also irresistible. The sweet and savory sauce on the simmered egg made it a tasty side dish. I enjoyed my solo lunch, but lately I've been going out to eat with various people, so I felt lonely. I went for lunch on Sunday. The restaurant opened at 11:30, and I arrived around 11:15, but there were about 20 people already waiting in line. The restaurant had many seats, so I was able to enjoy a leisurely lunch. I finished my meal in just over an hour and left the restaurant, but there was still a line outside. I had the chicken tsukune lunch. It was satisfying and the rice was very delicious.

Arrived at 11:15 a.m. There were 7 customers ahead of me. The store opened exactly at 11:30 a.m. and we were guided inside in order. The seating arrangement was spacious and relaxed. I ordered the braised pork set meal. The rice came in a traditional wooden container and it was deliciously glossy. The braised pork was not too heavy and had a slightly sweet flavor, making it easy to eat.

Located near Nishi-Umeda Station, I arrived at the store 5 minutes before opening and there were already 5 customers ahead of me. After the store opened at 11:30, I was seated at the counter. I only waited for 20 minutes after the opening! I'm not a big fan of braised pork, but it was recommended so I tried the braised pork set meal. It was so tender and not greasy at all, and the rice (free refills) was also delicious, so I had seconds. The counter is spacious and would be great for a date.

Lunchtime visit. There were about 15 people lined up. The restaurant is spacious, so if you wait for about 30 minutes, you can get in. The impactful pork belly stew as seen in the photos!!! The melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness, and the sweetness. Enjoying it with freshly cooked rice is a luxury. The eggplant was also delicious. Truly top marks!!! I pondered how often I would visit if there was a restaurant like this near my workplace. I want to try other set meals, but above all, I want to visit at night next time!!!

I went to "Gohan-ya Isshin" in Nishi-Umeda. Upon entering, there was a sign that said Isshin, creating a very elegant atmosphere. We ordered a variety of dishes including pork belly, bonito tataki, rolled omelette, chicken thigh karaage, and sea bream rice. Among them, my recommended dishes are the pork belly and sea bream rice! The pork belly was so tender and delicious, especially when dipped in mustard. It also came with a soft-boiled egg and tasted amazing with plenty of sauce. The sea bream rice, which we had as a final dish, had perfectly cooked rice with flaky sea bream on top, creating a delightful combination. However, please note that the sea bream rice takes about 30 minutes to prepare, so it's better to order it in advance.

In Umeda, a very popular izakaya for lunch, I arrived 3 minutes before opening and there were already about 6 people waiting. It's a popular place! I ordered the braised pork and the daily special lunch, which was grilled sea bream with yuzu salt koji. The rice served in the wooden tub was shiny and incredibly delicious. The melt-in-your-mouth braised pork and the fatty sea bream rice were so good that I couldn't stop eating. The fact that you can get free refills of rice is also a big plus!

Ippin also has a branch in Kobe. Their theme is "dedication to handmade dishes that bring out the best in ingredients!" They focus on using seasonal ingredients to capture the flavors of each season, so the menu changes accordingly. It's quite close to Nishi-Umeda Station! When I went around 12 pm on Sunday, there was a bit of a line! You line up near the stairs leading to the basement floor of a calm building. The interior has a warm and cozy atmosphere with plenty of counter seats, making it suitable for dining alone. This time, we were seated in the back tatami area for two people! ⚫︎ Braised Pork Belly with Soft-boiled Egg ¥1,500 I wanted to try this menu item when I came here. Along with the braised pork belly, it comes with miso soup, rice, tofu, pickles, and slimy okra to pour over the rice. The freshly cooked rice is refillable, which is great! The tofu was firm and delicious! They also have a wide selection of drinks, including over 50 types of sake, shochu, and plum wine! If you're undecided about where to have lunch in Umeda, I highly recommend this place!

Today, I visited a restaurant in Umeda with two close friends at 8:00 pm. It was our first time there and the atmosphere was lively with more seats than we had imagined. We ordered a variety of dishes including a platter of assorted sashimi, wagyu beef tataki with wasabi ponzu, chicken breast with grated daikon and ponzu, cream cheese with grilled eggplant, dashimaki tamago (rolled omelette), tai meshi (sea bream rice cooked to order which took about 30 minutes but was delicious), tempura corn, and yuba (tofu skin) shumai. The sashimi included bluefin tuna, flounder, amberjack, red sea bream, and bonito, all of which were of high quality. The sea bream had a chewy texture and was particularly tasty. The highlight of the evening was the great conversation with my friends, making it a very enjoyable night.

We used the restaurant for a company drinking party with 9 people. We chose the 3850 yen course with the 1650 yen all-you-can-drink option, and everything from the taste of the food to the speed of service was perfect! Each dish was exquisite and everyone was very satisfied. The variety of the all-you-can-drink menu is not extensive, but they have all the major drinks available. They also have private rooms, so I would like to come back again. The lunch menu seems to be very popular as there was a long line, so I would like to try it sometime.

I found a restaurant with a friend on a whim👯‍♀️ We lined up before it opened, and it seemed like reservations were pretty necessary. The kamameshi was so delicious!✨️ However, the lady who seated us right after they opened seemed a bit grumpy, which was a shame. The other staff members were kind though👯‍♀️

My favorite izakaya in Osaka (although I don't know many izakayas) is a spacious and stylish place where you can relax, making it perfect for a date. The warm lighting creates a nice atmosphere. I went on a weekday night and it was full. The food is delicious no matter what you order! The sea bream rice at the end is a taste that will haunt your dreams...

Taste: The rice was incredibly delicious! I had 5 helpings. It was shiny and I could keep eating more. However, only the rice was "delicious," the side dishes were just at a "tasty" level. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is really nice. It's cozy and makes you want to stay longer. I feel like coming back again. Cost performance: The taste is good and makes you want to eat more rice, but overall, considering the price, the cost performance is not great... Service: Most of the staff are not very friendly, but their service is polite. Even though they don't smile much, it didn't leave a bad impression. I went for the rice and I was satisfied.

They have a wide variety of alcohol options, making it great for those who enjoy drinking. This place is easy to use for dates or group meals, so if you're unsure where to go, you can't go wrong with this place! I heard you can also have the braised pork belly for lunch, so I'd like to revisit for lunch as well.

Romantic Club is a shop located in the basement of a three-story building. As you descend the stairs, you will find a spacious and stylish space beyond your imagination. I had the course menu (4,350 yen). The food was delicious, the atmosphere of the shop was wonderful, and it made me want to go there again.

I visited a restaurant that I used to frequent and felt nostalgic for the flavors! I had their signature tsukune (chicken meatball) and a delicious specialty dish called yuba maki (tofu skin roll)! They were as delicious as always. The stuffed shishito peppers with meat were also very tasty, and as always, I left completely satisfied! Thank you for the meal!

Slow-cooked pork kakuni with half-boiled egg for 1,500 yen. The daily lunch special for 1,200 yen was sold out, so I tried the recommended dish for my first visit during lunchtime. The restaurant's name does not deceive - the food is incredibly delicious and piping hot. I ended up getting seconds. Although it's a bit pricey, I would definitely come back here once a month. The rice is just so delicious!
