We arrived a little before 6 pm and there was already a line of several groups outside, and of course, the inside was full too. Realizing it was a popular place, we decided to line up too! There was an announcement to ask the staff for a ticket if you are waiting. My friend said, "It's hard to understand! Only the people at the front can see it! They should make it more visible so even people who come later can see it!" We agreed! So, I walked into the store and stopped a busy staff member, asking for two tickets. We got the 6:30 pm ticket and decided to wait in the car until then. The store manages the stay time of one group to about 30 minutes, replacing customers every 30 minutes to control the turnover rate. So, waiting for 30 minutes, we moved to the store front at 6:30 pm, but there were still several groups waiting. I asked the first customer, "Are you waiting for 6:30 pm?" and they replied, "Yes, we are waiting for 6 pm," which meant that we wouldn't be called until after the 6 pm customers entered the store. We didn't know how long we would have to wait, but we decided to wait patiently while suppressing our eagerness. Finally, at 6:45 pm, we were called by the staff, about 3 groups after the 6 pm customers entered. I wanted a mango-flavored shaved ice, but they were sold out, so I reluctantly ordered the Peach Lychee Almond Cream for 1400 yen, and my friend ordered a coffee-flavored shaved ice. The fluffy ice was served in a small bowl with peach fruit on top and inside. It was sweet and fluffy... more like eating a parfait than shaved ice! It was a sweet treat! They offer a variety of seasonal and limited-time options, and you can also make reservations online. I would like to visit here again! Chestnut caramel shaved ice is the name of the dessert. The sweetness is subtle, but the cocoa powder sprinkled on the chestnuts made the older lady choke a bit. Inside the ice, there's a nice touch of cherry compote called Griotte. Chestnut shaved ice is only available for a short period, so make sure to try it when you can! Thank you for the meal.

The menu had a lot of options. I chose the Setouchi Lemon Milk, which was listed as the most popular item in the summer. They also served hot hojicha tea. The shaved ice was served quite quickly. It looked very refreshing. The milk-flavored ice with sweet lemon syrup was a great combination, and the crushed cookie topping added a nice touch. It was my first time trying shaved ice from a specialized shop, and it was really delicious. At first, I thought it was a bit pricey, but it was definitely worth the price.

I was checking the reservation site the day before and it seemed fully booked, so I gave up. However, when I checked in the morning, there was availability! I made a reservation right away and headed there. Thanks to the reservation, I was able to enter smoothly, but there were also walk-in customers with tickets for about 30 minutes later. It seems easier to enter on weekdays. And as for the shaved ice taste... Wow!!! To put it mildly, it was the best shaved ice I've ever had in my life. Nowadays, there are shaved ice desserts that cost over 2000 yen, but this one not only looks great and tastes delicious, but it's also mostly under 2000 yen. I think it offers good value for money overall. It's also great that they are open all year round, not just in summer. They serve warm tea, so it seems like a place you can enjoy even in winter.

The food was delicious as always during my visit on August 18, 2023. I give it a perfect score of 5 out of 5. The taste, presentation, cost performance, service, and environment were all excellent. I couldn't make a reservation online even though there was one slot available, so I decided to go pick up a ticket. I went before 9:30, not sure if it was considered a weekday or holiday, and ended up being second in line. It was very hot, so I was hoping for the ticket distribution at 10:00, but it was actually at 10:30 on a weekday. I managed to get a ticket for the 13:00 slot. I arrived at the shop at 12:50 and was asked to wait outside. Another group arrived for the 13:00 slot, followed by someone who had made a phone reservation. The staff prioritized the phone reservation over the ticket system, which I found unfair. The customer who arrived after me for the 13:00 slot also expressed their dissatisfaction. Despite waiting for an hour already, the phone reservation was given priority, which I thought was strange. I ordered a strawberry mille-feuille and an RPG. The RPG had fresh peaches inside, and while the syrup was initially delicious, it became too sweet towards the end. The strawberry mille-feuille was not too sweet, with a strong strawberry flavor and refreshing taste. The warm tea served here was a nice touch.

I had known about this shop for a while. I always noticed two shops with long lines on my way to JR Nijo Station from home. One of them is this shaved ice shop, Kaki Gori-san. Due to my wife's strong request during the Obon holiday, we decided to visit. Not knowing the rules, I arrived at the shop on my bicycle about an hour before opening and there were already about 5 groups of customers waiting. Luckily, I managed to get a ticket just before opening. Some customers even specified their time slot for the evening. They must be tourists. I waited for the shop to open with my ticket in hand. I ordered the strawberry milk shaved ice. The strawberry sauce with a sour taste. The milk-soaked ice had a texture like sponge cake, which was a new experience for me. I now understand why there is always a long line. It was a delicious meal.

I made a reservation online and went to the restaurant. I tried the 4th Anniversary Full Throttle... RamPlum Macadamia with RPM... Fresh plum topping. The Macadamia rum cream was rich, and when you mix it little by little while eating, you can enjoy a change in flavor. I hurriedly parked at the bike parking lot to the north and went to the front of the shop. Hot tea came first. I looked through the menu and ordered the Summer Paradise. When it was served, despite the name "Summer Paradise," it had a rather plain appearance. I had imagined something more colorful. It tasted good with a citrus flavor and a good balance with the syrup until the end. I would like to come back again if there is no line. At the bike parking lot, I helped a mother and daughter who were trying to get their bike out, and ended up hurting my back and waist. I need to be careful.

The restaurant was much cooler inside compared to the hot lunch place we visited before, which was a pleasant surprise. This time, I ordered the "Setouchi Lemon Milk." I was tempted to try the "Ripe Mango" as well, but I chose the "Setouchi Lemon Milk" that caught my eye first. The shaved ice was brought to our table by the staff, and we received it within 10 minutes of ordering. The "Setouchi Lemon Milk" costs 1,300 yen and is topped with buttery lemon curd, pistachio, and cookies. It was interesting to enjoy the fluffy ice and crispy toppings simultaneously. The balance of the lemon's acidity and the sweetness of the cream was perfect, creating a deliciously sweet and sour taste. The refreshing taste makes it perfect for summer, and it's no wonder it's so popular. Since the restaurant offers shaved ice all year round, seasonal fruit-based menus are available. With a wide variety of shaved ice options, I believe you won't get tired of visiting multiple times. My favorite shaved ice specialty shop that I repeat the most. Even though it is called "○○ specialty shop," usually there are menus other than ○○, but this shop's menu is only shaved ice! That's how much they are particular about the deliciousness of shaved ice. I visited for the first time in the summer of 2021, and at that time, I thought, "This shaved ice is so sweet, cold, and delicious." By the way, what I ate at that time was the "Peach Mascarpone" in the first photo. The combination of peach juice and mascarpone was wonderful, and the peach on top was juicy and delicious. Since then, I have been fascinated by the smooth and easy-to-eat texture despite its volume, and I visit this shop at least once every summer. In addition to that, there are shaved ice such as "Matcha Mascarpone" (second photo), "Salted Caramel Nuts" (third photo), "Ripe Mango" (fourth photo), "Setouchi Lemon Milk" (fifth photo), "Strawberry Mascarpone" (sixth photo), "Strawberry Mille-feuille" (seventh photo), and "Aprikotu" (eighth photo). I have been there about five times from the first visit to this post (laughs). Reservations are available from the official website. I wish there was a small plate to set aside the excess cream. As I continued eating, it got colder, so the warm tea provided was much appreciated.

I went to "Kyohyogashi Tsurara" at Nijo Station. Luckily, there was a short line. I ordered "Ripe Mango" and "Super Rubarb Brothers" to share.
