I found this shop on Instagram that I was interested in. I think they had an all-you-can-drink option. I love sake, so I was happy to see a wide variety of options in the course. It was great that we could add more skewers without any additional charge, and we could also choose our rice dish for the end. I was impressed by all the options available. Everything was delicious and the service was quick. I was very satisfied and would love to visit this shop again! ✨

The appearance looks delicious, and it's surprising that you can eat at this price with all-you-can-drink. I've been curious about Takajin for a while on Instagram, but the quality exceeded my expectations. Well-prepared appetizers, oden with rich broth, and carefully skewered yakitori. No matter how much you eat, it's only ¥5,500 with all-you-can-drink for 2 hours! (Additional orders of oden, skewers, and skewered vegetables are not charged separately.) The cost performance of this course is amazing! The menu includes delicious oden from Takajin and Mapo tofu from Majin. The Mapo tofu from Majin was especially delicious, and I really enjoyed the oden with grated yam from Takajin. The chicken rice bowl was also tasty with its usual chicken broth. The yakitori was made with Ooyama Jidori chicken and each skewer was delicious. We ordered additional tsukune skewers, which also did not incur extra charges. Since we drank a lot, we definitely got our money's worth. It's a great place for a date with a girlfriend who loves to eat, isn't it? 😄

Visited in February 2023 ◎ At the time of posting, the restaurant had a rating of 3.06 on Tabelog (based on 14 reviews). Today, I visited "Jidori and Chicken Dashi Oden Takajin Horie Store," located about halfway between Nishi-Ohashi Station and Yotsubashi Station. This izakaya is popular for its charcoal-grilled chicken using "Oyama Jidori" and chicken dashi oden. They also offer courses with all-you-can-drink starting from 4,500 yen. I only had beer, but they also had a good selection of rare shochu and local sake. As soon as you enter, there is a counter, and there are private rooms in the back. I sat at the counter and ordered a draft beer. Looking at the menu, I was surprised to find Sichuan-style Mapo Tofu with chicken, which they specialize in for lunch. Here's what I had today: - Draft beer (Premium) 500 yen - Bottled beer (Akahoshi) 650 yen - Oden assortment: Atsuage, Konbu Daikon, Ranou Tamago, Jagaimo, Gyusuji - Sashimi: Sasami, Liver, Momotataki - Yakitori: Mom, Hatsu, Zuri, Sasami, Bonjiri - Sichuan-style Mapo Tofu 850 yen - Ranou Tsukune 600 yen - Grilled Onsen Tamago (Grilled egg) 480 yen First, a toast with a draft beer. The three types of chicken sashimi I had were all incredibly fresh, especially the liver was exceptionally delicious! The sasami and momotataki were great with wasabi soy sauce. The oden assortment was delicious, with the chicken broth permeating each item. The daikon was flavorful, and you could eat as much as you want. The yakitori had perfect seasoning and each part was of high quality and highly recommended. The Ranou tsukune was fluffy and meaty, complemented by the runny egg yolk. The Sichuan-style Mapo Tofu can be adjusted for spiciness, and if you like Mapo Tofu, it's worth trying. I ordered it as is, and personally, I found the spiciness just right, with the soft tofu and sharp spiciness of the chili pepper being a great combination. The grilled onsen tamago was delicious, with a crispy grilled rice ball and a rich egg yolk. It looks tempting to put it in the Mapo Tofu, but it also feels like a waste, a dilemma, right? Overall, the oden was great(´∀`*) I recommend the sweet Japanese sake that is popular with women. The yakitori was mainly seasoned with salt and was delicious. ☆ Lunch trip with my wife (Osaka, Shinsaibashi Horie)! ⇒ Today, I'm in the mood for mapo tofu, so we decided to visit this place that has been on my mind for a while. We were able to enter as the second group after the opening, but soon after, all 11 counter seats were filled up. Order! - "Sichuan Mapo Tofu Set Meal" for 900 yen (tax included)... Comes with "rice (free refills)" and "pickled vegetables." - The Sichuan mapo tofu came out piping hot! The appearance looked delicious, and the unique flavor of Sichuan mapo tofu didn't disappoint. I burned my mouth by putting the tofu in my mouth right after it arrived. My wife, who likes spicy food, enjoyed the heat. - The spiciness was at level 2, with just the right amount of heat, numbing sensation, mala flavor, and sweetness, making it a well-balanced mapo tofu. - The tofu was "silken" and broken into large pieces, providing a satisfying texture. However, the overall portion was a bit small, which I think is just right for women. - The rice was made with "Koshihikari" rice and paired perfectly with the mapo tofu. Of course, we had seconds. - What surprised me the most was how delicious the pickled vegetables were. It was one of the best I've ever had. Limited menu item: "Curry Mapo Plate Udon" for 1,000 yen... - Comes with "rice (free refills)" and "pickled vegetables." - The spiciness level was 1, so if you need more heat, you can adjust by adding the table-provided "chili oil" or "Sichuan pepper oil." - It's a plate of udon noodles with a curry flavor mixed in the mapo tofu. After enjoying the fried noodles, I mixed it with rice to create a delicious "mapo curry rice." Conclusion: I found the "Curry Mapo Plate Udon" to be satisfying, but the portion of the "Sichuan Mapo Tofu Set Meal" was a bit lacking. Nonetheless, the taste was excellent. Despite being teased by others to go for the spicy option, I decided to go for a medium level of spiciness (lol) because if it's too spicy, I can't taste the flavors, you know 😅 The atmosphere was lively and hot, with bubbling pots all around. Alright, let's dig in! Oh man, this is spicy but delicious! It's addictive! Mapo tofu is a taste that some may love or hate, but I personally love it! The restaurant is run by a man and a woman. - Chicken thigh tataki $900 - Chicken liver sashimi $700 - Lan Wang cheese meatballs $700 - Chicken skin with ponzu sauce $480 - Sichuan chicken mapo tofu $750 - Premium Malt beer $500 - Highball with whiskey $500 Enjoying chicken sashimi and yakitori with a beer was a great experience. I hope the world returns to normal soon so we can enjoy these simple pleasures again. The dishes made with Oyama chicken were all delicious. The staff were very busy, so I didn't have many opportunities to talk to them, but they provided good service when things calmed down. They even made the super spicy mapo dish that I had tried before during the night. The strong aroma and spiciness filled the entire restaurant, attracting the attention of all customers. I discovered an amazing restaurant. I found a hidden gem with top-notch yakitori. The young manager has a lot of energy and the dishes he serves are outstanding. The grilling technique and the way they bring out the flavors of the ingredients are top-notch. The first appetizer they serve sets them apart from other yakitori places. The drinks are also great, especially the highball. The owner may seem flashy, but when it comes to food, he is serious. This place is perfect for yakitori lovers like me. The chicken cartilage skewers and green onion skewers are amazing. They also have a variety of sashimi that is fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable too! I also tried the keema curry and the Oyama chicken bowl, and the egg on top was so good! I couldn't help but take five photos of it. This is the kind of hidden gem restaurant that makes you want to try everything on the menu and become a regular customer.

I was excited to try chicken broth oden for the first time. It was surprisingly light compared to the kombu broth oden I usually eat. I wish convenience stores would carry chicken broth oden. In addition to oden, I also enjoyed the yakitori and chicken mapo tofu. All of them were delicious!

I had chicken and oden. I thought oden looked good and decided to stop by for dinner with my senior. The restaurant had only counter seats, and the overall atmosphere was nice and clean. We ordered tsukune, umesuisho, heart, gizzard, chicken sashimi, daikon radish, and konjac. Personally, I really liked the tsukune. I felt that the oden was not as flavorful as I would have liked, it was a bit too light for my taste. We drank quite a bit of alcohol, so I think the prices were normal. We had a delicious meal and were able to relax. Thank you for the meal!
