I wanted to have just one beer, but everywhere was closed during the New Year's holiday, so I remembered this place. It's located in a building just down the stairs from the southeast exit of Shinjuku Station. There is a sign, so I went down the stairs, opened the automatic door, and found a counter inside. There are several taps on the wall, so I carefully read the instructions on what kind of beers they have and their prices before asking the cashier for help. The cashier explained that they use a prepaid card system where you can charge in increments of a thousand yen, and you can choose to charge with cash or credit. Since it was my first time, I decided to charge with cash. After purchasing the card, I received a glass at the register and then proceeded to pour my own beer. I started with my favorite Hoegaarden, which was labeled "Rosé" on the panel. I touched the "buy" button on the panel and then placed my card on the panel below. The display changed, showing my card balance, the amount of beer poured, and the total cost. I brought the glass closer, pulled the tap, and the beer flowed out. It was like a self-service gas station. I wanted to taste a little bit of each beer, so I poured about 50ml of each and drank them all. I noticed a button in the shape of a rice grain, which I recognized from Irish pubs and trendy coffee shops. I placed the glass on it, pressed it, and it cleaned the glass for me. This made me realize that I could enjoy my beer without mixing flavors. Some beers were not included in the service, so I had to choose from a few options. After trying all the beers, I finished up the remaining balance with Hoegaarden and apple beer. It was a fun experience, and the automatic tap stop when the balance ran out was convenient. The seating was available on the underground floor, with tables for playing darts and other games. There were also tables with high chairs for two people. Overall, I enjoyed some unique beers in a pleasant atmosphere. Thank you for the meal. The average price was around 2.5 yen per ml, so if you pay a thousand yen, you can drink about 400ml of beer. The staff should explain the system better to attract more customers, as it is quite interesting. It was perfect for a casual drink. Thank you for the meal.
