Well, anyway, the restaurant that offers an interesting experience, or rather, a mysterious experience, called "Anzen Irifune Shokudo," still appears in my dreams. It's like a Kafkaesque dream with a hard-to-describe sense of floating and despair. I mean, just look at the photo, the konjac is covered in ketchup by default? It's absurd, incredibly absurd! This restaurant is located at the end of the "Moji Port Retro" tourist spot, behind the "Moji Port Retro Observatory," essentially within the original Moji Port area, with a sign at the entrance saying "Unauthorized Vehicles Prohibited." However, according to other reviewers, only authorized vehicles come to this restaurant, so they must be related somehow. Pushing open the uncertain entrance, you will suddenly come across a bright red container serving as the restaurant. There is a dedicated parking space, as mentioned on the restaurant's Tabelog page, so make sure not to obstruct the passage for related vehicles, such as large transport trucks. Inside, you will find an elderly couple who seem to run the restaurant, and one elderly regular customer. Since only regulars visit this port eatery, they were momentarily surprised by my presence but still welcomed me. The menu consists of a simple breakfast set meal, lunch set meal, and other items like bento boxes, beer, and additional dishes that are pre-cooked. The breakfast set meal costs only 330 yen, which is surprisingly cheap! I couldn't help but be excited and complain inwardly, "What is this? In this day and age, a breakfast set for 330 yen? Not a chain store, is it?" However, my excitement quickly faded when I saw the konjac covered in ketchup and the cold pre-cooked dishes that seemed like leftovers from yesterday's oden. Moreover, overhearing the conversation between the restaurant owners and the regular customer, which seemed to be on an infinite loop, made my head spin. Despite this, the flavor of the food was surprisingly good, with a subtle umami flavor that is hard to resist. It may not be exceptional, but it's reminiscent of typical home-cooked meals. Criticizing a place like this would be unfair, considering its ability to survive in today's competitive market. I hope this unique restaurant continues to thrive for years to come, so I'll maintain a humble attitude and give it a passing grade. Overall, a personal Tabelog rating of 3.1.
