On this day, we stayed to celebrate a birthday of a superior. First of all, the open-air bath with a view was amazing, overlooking the Osaka Plain. Unfortunately, it was cloudy this time, but it would have been fantastic on a sunny day. The spring quality had a nice thickness to it, and the water bath was around the high 20 degrees Celsius, which was okay. Ooedo Onsen Monogatari has a lot to offer for families visiting for a day trip, with various facilities and a food court. I didn't use them this time, though. The dinner buffet had particularly delicious steamed pork dumplings. When I tried to decline because the plate was too big, a staff member put a bite-sized portion of vegetables, kimchi, and steamed pork on an empty plate with six compartments for me. The presentation and balance were exquisite, and it was a dish where you wrap meat and condiments in Korean vegetables in one bite. Hotel curry is always tasty, right? The wall lined with one-liter bottles of Japanese sake and shochu in front of the all-you-can-drink corner was not included in the all-you-can-drink offer, but at 500 yen each, it seemed like a good deal, especially with brands like Isami available. In the morning, there was a "topping rice bowl" fair with diced salmon, marinated yellowtail, squid somen, shredded spicy cod roe, grated yam, and other toppings. I don't remember the toppings I didn't choose, but they were available. The hotel is conveniently located close to the city by train, making it easy to use and enjoyable. Thank you very much.

My daughter and two grandchildren were staying for a traditional visit, and due to a strong request from my daughter, we decided to revisit an event we had enjoyed two years ago. We parked our car in the vast parking lot, checked in, and first headed to the "Minoh Park Insect Museum" for my 6-year-old insect-loving grandchild. Wow, there are giant cockroaches here. It was my first time seeing the world's largest rhinoceros beetle, the "Hercules Beetle," alive. In the greenhouse-like "Butterfly Garden," there were many beautiful butterflies, which was very soothing. The round trip process, while being healed by the clear stream and forest bathing, was very healthy. After working up an appetite, it was time for a fun meal. Off to the "Delicious Food Alley" we went! Each of us ordered what we liked, and I had this: - Yakiniku Bulgogi Donburi: 1,050 yen It came with seaweed soup at this price, which is expected for a facility price. The taste and portion were better than I expected. The only downside was that the portion of meat was a bit small. The children seemed satisfied with their curry. After that, we played at the "carnival" and watched the comedy duo "Super Maradona" at the "Minoh Theater." Then it was time for the main event, the hot spring. My daughter, who had to take care of the 3-year-old, unfortunately ended up not being able to enjoy it fully, only getting to soak her feet. I, on the other hand, had a great time with my 6-year-old for about an hour. Cold baths, outdoor baths, and huge tubs like the "Crane Bath," "Silky Bath," and "Lying Bath" – it was paradise. Thanks to that, my skin became smooth and silky. It's great to have a nearby facility where you can enjoy a day trip. Payment was quick and easy with a credit card. I'll definitely come back.

Stayed at Minoh Kanko Hotel [Oedo Onsen Monogatari] for one night. Late plan so breakfast buffet is from 9:30 am. Enjoyed the open-air bath in the sky at 7 am, got ready, checked out around 9 am and left luggage at the cloakroom before heading to the buffet venue. After breakfast, went to Minoh Waterfall, then sweated it out at the spa garden (free for guests), and later picked up luggage. The path to Minoh Waterfall is flat and well-maintained, a 40-minute walk with a gentle slope, so it's best to go light. Breakfast was well replenished, with a variety of toppings for the "morning donburi" including grated yam, whitebait, spicy cod roe, minced meat, and salmon, making it enjoyable. The meat tofu had little meat but was tasty. The freshly steamed sweet potato tempura was good. I like the lotus root kinpira. The grilled fish, mackerel and salmon, were a bit tough. Dessert was sweet potato. It was okay. Forgot to eat the French toast, but I was full, so it's fine. Surprisingly, the simple pot-au-feu was good! Warm dishes always enhance the flavor. Especially in the morning, warm vegetables are better than raw.

Stayed at Minoh Kanko Hotel and Ooedo Onsen Monogatari. The main purpose was to use the Sky Outdoor Bath available only to guests. Booked through a travel support program with a Late Plan. Buffet starts at 8:30 pm in the evening and 9:30 am in the morning. Around 5 pm, headed to the Sky Outdoor Bath. The indoor bath had a smooth and beautiful skin hot spring, then climbed the stairs to the sky. Ah, a shelf bath, I see. It feels smaller than in the photos, but with no fences or glass, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the town. It's a two-way view, as people on the other side can see us too, haha. The outdoor bath is not a hot spring, just hot water, but it's definitely worth a soak. Dinner was a late plan (with a change of guests), so going on an empty stomach was a good idea as alcohol was also all-you-can-drink! Super Dry beer was automatically poured by a machine. It felt great, soaking into the body. The buffet had a wide variety of dishes, including a live kitchen, quite luxurious. I was worried about going late, but they kept replenishing the dishes. Unfortunately, the tempura was cold, but the roast beef was good, and the steak was delicious. My sister loved the Sichuan mapo tofu and had three plates of it. Dessert was Häagen-Dazs ice cream! If you don't grab it quickly, it disappears in no time, but I managed to get strawberry and vanilla. Being light drinkers, my sister and I only had one beer each, haha. Feeling a bit tipsy, I accidentally fell asleep and missed the changeover to the Sky Outdoor Bath, Hikari no Yu. It was a different experience in the evening, with a beautiful night view. Surprisingly, even though it was past midnight, there were quite a few people soaking in the bath.

The smoking area is on the top floor. I entered with a lunch buffet set and saved about 200 yen with a coupon. Besides the buffet, there are also various other shops. There was a long line before the buffet started, but there are plenty of seats so there is no need to worry. With so many options, it can be overwhelming to choose, so it's better to try small amounts of various dishes to find what you like. There is a wide variety of desserts and drinks. It's best to eat in moderation to fully enjoy the facility without feeling too full when soaking in the hot springs again. Sushi was not available in the lunch buffet.

I stayed during Golden Week in April. The evening all-you-can-drink was included in the accommodation fee, so it was a good deal. The dinner was delicious, especially the roast beef and tempura. The night view during dinner was beautiful. For breakfast, they had French toast, which is not common in other hotels. It was also delicious.

Happy New Year! This year, my family and I visited Minoh Kanko Hotel, which is actually Ooedo Onsen Monogatari. We arrived at 10 am after leaving Kyoto in the morning. We checked our luggage at the cloakroom and started with bowling as it opened at 10 am. After enjoying some bowling, we headed to the spa garden, had a light lunch, and then explored manga, games, table tennis, and carnival games. Of course, we also enjoyed the baths before checking into the hotel. The hotel had a famous open-air bath with a beautiful view, which we fully enjoyed. And then, it was finally time for the buffet! I indulged in roast beef, plenty of sashimi, surprisingly delicious oden, a special tempura bowl with shrimp and conger eel, and of course, lots of drinks. I ended the meal with some sweets and a Haagen-Dazs ice cream. I must admit, the photo I attached is not everything we ate, but just what I had by myself. Being a big eater, I can really let loose when it comes to food. I ate to my heart's content, but there were so many dishes at the buffet that I couldn't try them all. Oh well, I'm stuffed! After that, we watched a music show at the theater that had been canceled due to the pandemic. We also enjoyed the morning bath the next day. And of course, another round of the buffet! I definitely gained at least 5 kilograms on this trip. My belly is not just full, it's wavy and jiggly now. Everyone in the family had a great time on this trip. Thank you so much! PS The hot springs here make your skin so smooth and beautiful. Those already beautiful become even more so, while others... well, they become what they become! I will continue indulging in food this year! If you see any delicious reviews, I'll be there!

It's been over 30 years since I received a pool entry ticket for "Minoh Spa Garden" from a friend (now my wife) and went swimming. The owner has changed since then, and I haven't been there for many years, so out of curiosity, I stayed there alone. The view from the room is great, with a distant view of the city of Osaka. Meals are served at the restaurant for both dinner and lunch. The dinner is in buffet style, but unlike the usual image of buffet meals, there are many skilled chefs here preparing both Japanese and Western dishes. So, it might be better to select carefully and go for multiple rounds to get the food. The roast beef and oden were delicious, and the Chinese dishes were also very tasty.

Journeying with my daughter's family during the last Sunday of my visit, we were bid farewell by a life-sized panel of the band Junretsu at the Minoh Onsen Spa Garden in Oedo Onsen Monogatari. Despite being close to home, I had never visited this place before. I had always thought of it as a spot for the elderly. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to find a huge facility that people of all ages could enjoy. Due to the current situation, there were no public performances or live shows, but the pools and hot springs were open, making it a popular spot in the summer. We were lucky to have the large bath all to ourselves when we visited right after opening. My 4-year-old grandchild and I had a great time in the tub. The hot spring water here was quite thick, leaving our skin smooth and moisturized. I highly recommend it for those with dry skin. After bathing, we had lunch at a food court called "Umamimono Yokocho." There were table and tatami seating options, with tatami being convenient for families with young children. We ordered: - 3 pieces of fried chicken: 550 yen (for the 4-year-old) - Mountain vegetable udon: 650 yen (for my daughter) - Kids' energy udon: 580 yen (for the 1-year-old) - Grilled chicken rice bowl: 680 yen (for me) The grilled chicken rice bowl had a sweet and rich sauce poured generously over the green onions. It was a bit too sweet for my liking, but the portion of rice was decent and filled me up. Before leaving, we enjoyed a panoramic view of Osaka city from the observation deck. It was another great memory. Staying overnight with the family might be a good idea too. With games, carnival games, and hot springs, the 4-year-old seemed to enjoy it the most. Thank you for the meal.

I forgot to take photos, but I stayed at Minoh Kanko Hotel and had a buffet for dinner and breakfast. There were a variety of dishes to choose from, including Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, which made it fun to pick. There were also plenty of options that children could enjoy. The pot-au-feu, sashimi, meat dishes, and Akashiyaki were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Osaka for business and stayed at Minoh Kanko Hotel for two nights. I planned to eat a little for dinner since we had late meetings, but I couldn't resist the variety of dishes and ended up trying a bit of everything. I had coffee jelly, kuzukiri, tempura with wakasagi, and steak from the live kitchen. I also enjoyed Osaka specialties like katsu udon and okonomiyaki, as well as sushi with conger eel, squid, and salmon. For dessert, I had mango juice, petit cakes like gateau chocolat and baumkuchen, and my favorite sesame dumplings. I almost forgot to have Hagen-Dazs ice cream on the first day, so I had vanilla, strawberry, and matcha flavors. I finished off with coffee milk from the milk shop. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the feast!

I stayed at the Oedo Onsen Monogatari Minoh Kanko Hotel. In the morning, I had a buffet breakfast at the restaurant on the first floor. It was a bit crowded around 8 o'clock, but I didn't have to wait long because there were plenty of seats. I was thinking of having Western food, but the side dishes for rice looked delicious, so I changed my mind. They had yakisoba, nikujaga (meat and potato stew), salad with daikon and cherry tomatoes, tamagoyaki (rolled omelette), onigiri (rice balls) made by a chef at the live kitchen, tako wasabi (octopus with wasabi), pickled daikon, corn soup, and you could even get a whole saury fish with grated daikon. They also had matcha milk from a milk shop. For dessert, there were mini cream puffs, strawberry daifuku (mochi filled with strawberry), cheesecake, strawberry roll cake, fruit jelly, warabi mochi (bracken-starch dumpling), and sweet potato with syrup. I finished with iced coffee. There were some dishes different from the dinner buffet, and everything was delicious. Thank you for the meal! 🍽️

I went to Osaka for a trip and booked a stay at the Minoh Kanko Hotel in Oedo Onsen Monogatari because it had good access from Itami Airport, hot springs, and a place for children to play indoors. I wanted a plan without a dinner buffet because I would get tired of eating the same food every day, but they only offered plans with a dinner buffet. However, it turned out to be great! I made a reservation for 5:30 pm as it tends to get crowded around 7 pm. The hotel is located on a hill, so the view is nice. The best part was the all-you-can-drink beer, shochu, sake, and soft drinks served by the server. Usually, drinks are charged separately at buffets, so this was a pleasant surprise. I can't drink alcohol now, so I enjoyed orange juice and mango juice. There were about 140 dishes, including seafood chirashi, chawanmushi, roast beef, pear and bacon salad, salmon and conger eel sushi, fried oysters, large shrimp dumplings, and fried smelt. The tempura assortment was made by a chef at a live kitchen station. There were also steak, curry rice, beautifully plated appetizers, chicken sauté with turnip pasta, and coffee milk from a milk shop. The dessert selection was rich with kuzukiri, matcha warabi mochi, fruit jelly, coffee jelly, and milk pudding. I got so excited and ended up eating a lot. It was a fulfilling dinner buffet. Thank you for the meal!

The company's New Year's party was held at Minoh Kanko Hotel, just a little north of Hankyu Minoh Station, up the hill and then taking the elevator up. The night view of Osaka was beautiful as it had just stopped raining. Minoh Kanko Hotel has become part of the Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Group a few years ago. Even though it's in Osaka, Minoh has a waterfall and beautiful autumn leaves, making it a nice spot for a little sightseeing. However, it feels a bit lonely compared to the past. The banquet hall was set up with a table for a day trip hot spring with kaiseki cuisine. The menu included plum wine, appetizer, seasonal appetizers, sashimi, steamed dish, simmered vegetables, duck hot pot, grilled cod, tempura, rice, miso soup, dessert, and self-serve coffee. The variety of dishes was amazing, especially the beef loin grilled on a ceramic plate. The sashimi was delicious, but the whole prawns were difficult to eat with the shells on. The duck hot pot was perfect for the cold rainy day. The tempura, served later, was not as warm as expected. It would have been better if the rice was served a little earlier. The service was efficient but lacked warmth. After filling up, it was time to soak in the hot springs. I will probably come back here next year, but I hope the quality of the food will improve. Thank you for the meal. Minoh Kanko Hotel 072-723-2324 1-1 Onsen-cho, Minoh City, Osaka

"The amount spent per person is the cost per night. 'Where should we have our New Year's party and what should we eat?' This was the topic of discussion among my drinking buddies who have been having a New Year's party every year. Should we go to a popular izakaya? Have crab? Yakiniku? Fugu? But we had fugu at the year-end party last year... We were all scratching our heads trying to decide. Then T suggested, 'How about going to Minoh during the holidays?' Great idea!! 'If we stay overnight, we can drink and relax without worrying about time!' 'Minoh is close by and there's a hot spring too, sounds good!' 'The buffet at Ooedo Onsen Monogatari is supposed to be amazing.' And so, this year's New Year's party was decided to be at the Minoh Kanko Hotel at Ooedo Onsen Monogatari. We gathered in front of BIGMAN at Hankyu Umeda Station, had lunch at Sanbangai, and took the Hankyu train to Minoh. It was my first time coming by train, and I was surprised at how close it was. Dinner (with all-you-can-drink) and breakfast buffet, a 2-day spa garden pass, and a 6-person room for the night before the holiday plan cost 18,320 yen per person (surprisingly expensive!). The spa garden is available from 10 am. Since hotel check-in starts at 3 pm, we calculated the bathing and relaxation time backward and entered at 12:30 pm. The Minoh Onsen Spa Garden has a thick carbonated hydrogen carbonate spring, boasting one of the best spring qualities in Kansai, also known as the 'spring of life.' The slimy feeling was nice. In addition to the hot springs, there are various facilities such as table tennis, theater shows, a festival corner, game center, and a bedrock bath. There are also capybaras and ponies outside the facility. Among them, feeding the ponies for 300 yen was adorable. And of course, we toasted with drinks in the open space. At the Minoh Kanko Hotel, we checked in at exactly 3 pm and toasted with canned beer and canned chu-hi. The evening was approaching. I was a little tipsy, but it was time to change into a yukata and head to the hotel's pride, the 'sky outdoor bath.' The Minoh Kanko Hotel's 8th-floor Hikari no Yu offers a magnificent view of the Kobe area turning red. It was a fantastic sky gradient. I was moved by the sight, despite my age. I later realized that this wonderful twilight men's bath had a narrower field of view and bath compared to the women's bath! Discrimination between men and women! (laughs) Nevertheless, it was a beautiful day today. It was great! We enjoyed the sky show for about 30 minutes. As the evening approached, we went back inside. Dinner was available from 5 pm or 7:30 pm, and we chose the 7:30 pm slot to enjoy this fantastic view. Again, the three men who went back to the room first toasted with cold beer. Delicious! The dinner buffet was in a very large hall. It was surprising! There were many varieties of Japanese, Western, Chinese, and dessert dishes. The guests were also plentiful. Luckily, we were guided to a window seat overlooking Osaka. (It was really lucky!) Each of us grabbed a tray and started the buffet. I gathered some items and returned to my seat to toast once again for the 2020 New Year's party. Cheers to this year too! The main dishes were... - Roast beef cut on the spot - Freshly grilled beef steak - Freshly fried shrimp tempura and more - Tuna and sweet shrimp sashimi brought continuously - Thinly sliced tilefish for shabu-shabu tilefish hot pot Those were the highlights, I guess? There were too many other dishes to mention. The crispy fried chicken wings were delicious. My impression was... 'It's a good buffet for a buffet!' However, the drink menu for all-you-can-drink was amazing! Especially"

I stayed here for New Year's, so the one-night rate was a bit high. It's part of the Ooedo Onsen Monogatari chain, so the rooms have futons laid out. The hot springs have an open-air bath with a great view of Osaka city. Even though I live nearby, I wanted to visit, so I came during New Year's. I usually stay at more budget-friendly hotels, so I wasn't expecting much from the buffet meals. However, the food here was surprisingly delicious with a wide variety of freshly cooked dishes. The buffet included freshly grilled, fried, and made-to-order items that were really tasty. Even the ice cream was Haagen-Dazs! There was also a great selection of drinks, including alcoholic beverages. Considering the quality of the food, the price of around 7,890 yen per night is quite cheap. I'd like to come back on a weekday next time.

Thank you for your hard work in 2019. I came to a year-end party with my like-minded friends at the Minoh Kanko Hotel. It was a stay and banquet. We first enjoyed the open-air hot spring, which is only available to guests, and then had a buffet dinner. It was crowded with people, very popular. There was all-you-can-drink alcohol and soft drinks. We started with a toast with Super Dry beer, which was delicious. The beer was well managed, and it raised our spirits. The food included a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes. I aimed for three dishes: steak, kue nabe (stew), and roast beef. The kue nabe and steak were particularly delicious, so I went for seconds. For dessert, I had to have Häagen-Dazs ice cream. My stomach was about to burst. The next morning, we had a buffet breakfast. I chose mainly Japanese food, such as grilled saury and rice balls. I was full from the morning. Last time I visited, there were many tourists from overseas, which made me feel uncomfortable, but this time there were hardly any group tourists. The food was delicious, and I was satisfied. Thank you for the meal! Winter 2019.

I visited Minoh Spa Garden for the first time since it was renovated as Oedo Onsen Monogatari. They offer a buffet restaurant, a rooftop open-air bath with a view, natural hot springs, and a popular theater performance. The buffet restaurant had roast beef sliced in front of you, freshly fried tempura, shumai, gyoza, fried rice, and a variety of dishes from Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines. If you visit at the right time, they also have a tuna cutting show, but unfortunately, it wasn't available during my visit. Desserts included various cakes, traditional Japanese sweets, and unlimited Häagen-Dazs ice cream. I enjoyed the all-you-can-drink option, especially the barrel-aged wine, which was delicious. After eating, I relaxed in the open-air bath while enjoying the song and dance show and the night view. My skin felt smooth and refreshed. The breakfast buffet had seasonal grilled fish like Pacific saury, famous yakisoba, freshly made rice balls, rice porridge, ochazuke, soba noodles, French toast, and more. I particularly enjoyed the whole Pacific saury, which was soft and tasty. The yakisoba had a spicy kick, perfect for adults. The rice balls were made with Koshihikari rice, freshly made and bite-sized. Everything was delicious, and I left feeling very satisfied. The prices are not cheap, but it's a great way to experience a travel-like atmosphere nearby with good transportation access. It was a perfect way to refresh and relax.

Minoh Onsen Spa Garden! It was great to use the hot springs on the eighth floor on a weekday because it was not crowded. Last time, it was super crowded. I was looking forward to the dinner buffet. There was tuna and sweet shrimp sashimi, steak and roast beef, tempura, sushi (not many kinds though), mapo tofu, fried chicken, and various other dishes. I enjoyed them all! However, the dining area was very crowded even though the hot springs were not.
