I had lunch at a Okinawan home cooking restaurant in Nonoi, Minami-ku, Sakai City. I ordered the creamy Goya bowl set which came with Okinawa soba (small) and Jimami tofu (*´˘`*)♡ The set also included pork onigiri, simmered pork bowl, and taco rice set, making it difficult to choose. The creamy Goya bowl had plenty of Goya and SPAM flavors with tofu and egg yolk balancing it perfectly and was delicious. The crunchy Goya had no bitterness at all, so even those who don't like it should definitely give it a try. The Okinawa soba with its flavorful broth was also a hit, so tasty that I finished the broth completely. I often pass by the restaurant and see many cars stopping during lunchtime, so I had been wanting to try it. Next time, I wonder what set meal I should get... I enjoyed my meal. Thank you for the delicious food ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ✼••┈┈••✼••┈┈••✼••┈┈••✼••┈┈••✼ The restaurant is located at 69-1 Nonoi, Sakai City, Minami-ku, Osaka 590-0155.

Authentic Okinawan cuisine that you can enjoy in Sakai City. As someone who eats Okinawa soba every day when in Okinawa, Ishigaki Island, and Miyako Island, I highly recommend the Okinawa soba here. Other dishes like champuru are also delicious and make you want to go back to Okinawa. The restaurant has tables and a counter, so it's fine to dine alone. There is also a parking lot right in front, so it's convenient if you're driving. If you ever find yourself in Minami Ward, Sakai City, be sure to stop by. It's really delicious.

From Sakai's Izumikita 2 (Prefectural Road 61) head west on the Sakai Izumikita Circular Route (Prefectural Road 208) towards Wadanishi Intersection where Arayama Park, famous for its plum garden, is located. At the Nonoi Intersection, you will find the ENEOS gas station and the heartwarming Okinawan home cooking restaurant "Haha." There is no nearby station, so it's best to travel by car. The restaurant has about 10 parking spaces on its premises. Whenever I visit this place, I always go for the Goya Champuru! Since I arrived outside of the lunch hours until 2 pm, I couldn't choose from the discounted set menu, so I ordered the "Creamy Goya Bowl Set ¥1,100." The Goya Champuru bowl with a raw egg yolk, Okinawan soba, and Jimami Tofu is included in the set. The perfect bitterness of the plentiful Goya combined with the savory taste of spam is irresistible. The well-balanced seasoning makes the Goya Champuru here authentic and delicious. The unique texture of the Okinawan soba also has a taste that grows on you. Adding a suitable amount of "Koregusu," a seasoning made by soaking island chili peppers in awamori, enhances the flavor. The juicy pork belly is also delicious. I also like the soft and chewy texture of the Jimami Tofu. You can enjoy your meal with alcohol, but even with just "Oolong Tea ¥300," it's still satisfying. The beautiful female chef was the only one cooking, and the serving staff were friendly and provided good service! This restaurant is always bustling with customers for lunch and dinner. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I have been curious about this Okinawan cuisine restaurant for a while. I was torn between various options but ended up ordering the Goya Champuru set meal and upgraded the miso soup to Okinawa soba (small) for an additional 100 yen. I thoroughly enjoyed authentic Okinawan cuisine. It was delicious!!

I felt like eating Okinawan cuisine, so my mother and I decided to go to a restaurant near our house that we had known about but never visited before. We arrived just before 11:30 on a weekday, and there were only two other groups in the restaurant. By the time we started eating, they had left and we had the place to ourselves. We ordered the following dishes:
- Soki Soba
- Mochi Mochi Mozuku Tempura Soba
I tried a bit of my mother's dish, and it was the first time I had tempura made with mozuku seaweed. It was delicious, more on the soft and gooey side rather than chewy. The Soki Soba had a gentle flavor and was very comforting. The portion size was a bit small if ordered individually, so it might be better to go for a set menu or a meal set. The restaurant is a bit far from the station, so it's not easy to get to without a car, but the parking lot is easy to access. Overall, it was a good experience.

Visited after a long time on September 24, 2022 (Saturday) in Nonoi, Minami-ku, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. Entered at 1:00 PM. There were 5-6 groups of customers already there. Ordered the "Goya Champuru Set: 950 yen". It was served in just 7 minutes after ordering. The set included Goya Champuru, 2 side dishes, miso soup, pickles, and rice. The plentiful Goya was a vibrant green color, mixed with island tofu, spam, and egg. The flavor was delicious with just the right amount of bitterness. The side dishes were macaroni salad and tofu, with too much tofu! Today's meal was delicious as well. The interior of the restaurant was the same as my last visit. The staff, consisting of the usual two female employees, provided friendly and efficient service. Overall, the customer service was great.

Today, I went to a Okinawan cuisine restaurant nearby that I had been curious about for a while. I was a bit hesitant because of the appearance of the restaurant, but I finally decided to go with a staff member who had lived in Okinawa for nearly 10 years. It was a great decision! The staff member was able to explain each dish in detail. We tried the 1800 yen bento box this time, but they actually have more affordable options. You might not be able to eat things like Okinawan tofu here often. It was a great restaurant with a lot of Okinawan vibes.

On January 15, 2022 (Saturday), I felt like eating Okinawan cuisine and visited a restaurant in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. I arrived at 12:50 PM and there were already 2 customers inside. I ordered the "Creamy Goya Bowl Set: 1000 yen". The food was served in 13 minutes after ordering, and the set included Goya bowl, Okinawan soba, and Jimami tofu. The Goya was crispy and cooked with just the right amount of bitterness. Mixing it with the egg created a deliciously mild flavor. It was nostalgic to eat Spam again. The Okinawan soba had a delicious dashi broth with a strong bonito flavor. The unique texture was quite addictive, especially with the red pickled ginger on top. The pork slices were tender and juicy. They also offered free coffee. The interior of the restaurant was decorated with Okinawan themes, with a sanshin (Okinawan musical instrument) hanging on the wall and various Okinawa-related posters. The seating options included a counter, table seats, and tatami mat seating. There were two female staff members who were friendly and efficient. The service was good. The lunch area was non-smoking, but I'm not sure about the smoking policy for dinner.

I discovered a Okinawan cuisine restaurant. My father is from Minamidaito Island. Since I didn't have much time, I had the Soki Soba. The meat was big and tender, reminding me of my father. It didn't have the unique Okinawan taste, but it was light and easy to eat. Thank you for the meal. I will come back to try a different menu when I have more time.

Whenever I come here, the food is always delicious. I used to only go for Okinawa soba, but recently I've been hooked on Fu Chanpuru and had it again this day. It was incredibly delicious. Among the many Okinawan restaurants, this is my favorite.

At Sakai, "Okinawa Cuisine Haha", try the Okinawa soba! The Okinawa soba at Haha is served with pickled shallots and Orion beer peel.

There are also Osaka Prefecture's COVID-19 prevention stickers displayed, so I feel more at ease. They also offer takeout, which is nice!

The atmosphere was excellent and I ordered the pork onigiri set, which was delicious. The Okinawan soba was also tasty with a gentle flavor, and the pork onigiri was especially good with the combination of pork and egg. I had never tried the Jimami tofu before, but it was like eating gelato and very delicious. I couldn't drink alcohol as I was driving, but I would like to try it here next time.

Today, I went to a restaurant near my house called "Haha" which serves home-cooked meals and coffee. I had heard about this place before and noticed that the parking lot always had cars parked, so I wanted to try it out. It was my first time going there, and I decided to go because I didn't have any food at home. I have been to Okinawa a few times, so I was familiar with most of the menu items. I ordered Soki soba and some vegetables to eat. Everything I ate was delicious, and I definitely want to go back again. I recommend you all to give it a try too!

Around 3:15 in the afternoon, it's time for the "Let's Try Going Somewhere" series! I decided to visit a restaurant that I've been curious about for a while - it's a Okinawan cuisine restaurant! I don't really have a memory of eating Okinawan cuisine in a restaurant before! I'll try the Soki Soba here. The restaurant has a parking lot that can accommodate about 10 cars! Inside the restaurant, there are two female staff members working. There are two families and about 6 counter seats and a few table seats. I sit at the counter and look at the menu. There are a lot of set meals and combos... there's quite a variety here. There's a choice between ordering the Soki as a single item or as a set, and it's a bit pricey! But if it tastes like the real thing, then it's worth it - no need for a plane ticket, right? I was torn between the Soki Soba and the Okinawa Soba, but I was intrigued by the Soki, so I looked it up - it's spare ribs that have been simmered in a sweet and savory sauce until the bones can easily be removed because they're so tender. There are bone-in Soki and cartilage Soki, both of which are popular! Okinawan Soba is more like regular pork slices! This isn't on the menu... I wonder if they'll make it if I ask? It seems like it turns into an izakaya at night, with various types of awamori available as well. I won't be able to come at night, though. Here it is! I wonder if the price is due to the Soki? There are three pieces in the dish - kamaboko, green onions, and pickled ginger. We're served what is probably a pork bone and bonito broth, which is light but flavorful. The noodles are thick, flat noodles with a chewy texture and some twists. So this is Okinawa Soba... The Soki on the left was cooked so well that even the bones were soft enough to eat. Ordering this was the right choice. The larger bones were too hard, so I couldn't eat them. I finished it quickly and felt a bit unsatisfied. I guess in Okinawa, the prices are even cheaper, right? If you're eating here, it's probably best to go for a set meal or a combo! The braised pork rice bowl set sounds good too. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I came to a restaurant with delicious Okinawan cuisine today I'm going for the Okinawa soba and pork onigiri set. My partner is having the pork belly bowl. The broth of the Okinawa soba is so tasty, with a gentle flavor of bonito. The noodles have a slightly chewy texture and are very satisfying to eat. Even my partner, who loves Okinawan food, agrees that it might be even better than eating it in the actual Okinawa. The onigiri is square-shaped with spam and egg rolled inside warm rice, just the right amount of saltiness. It also comes with some silky tofu. All of this for just 1000 yen (tax included). It's so delicious that I will definitely come back again, although I wish it was about 150 yen cheaper. Thank you for the meal!

The other day, I was wandering around Sakai City and ended up in the Izumikita area. I found a certain restaurant there. It was a Okinawan cuisine restaurant. I've been wanting to visit Okinawa for a few years now, but haven't had the chance. So, I decided to at least experience a bit of Okinawan atmosphere for lunch at this restaurant. When I entered the restaurant, the interior was decorated with Okinawan objects here and there, creating a nice atmosphere. I looked at the menu and decided to order Okinawa soba. When the Okinawa soba arrived, it had a big piece of pork belly and the noodles were thick, giving it a satisfying texture. Eating Okinawa soba in a place with Okinawan vibes made me feel like I was in Okinawa. Even though I haven't actually left Osaka. It's a restaurant with a nice atmosphere. If you have the chance, give it a try!

As it gets hotter, I started craving Okinawan cuisine. Today, I had some free time on a weekday, so I searched for an Okinawan restaurant on Tabelog. I found a place about a 20-minute drive from my home that was open during the day, so I decided to go there. I arrived at 1:30 PM, and as soon as I entered, another group of customers left. After that, I had the place all to myself. It's true that the location is a bit remote and you need a car to get there. The menu was extensive with various Okinawan dishes, and I was having a hard time deciding what to eat. Of course, I wanted to try the nutritious bitter melon, as well as the pork soba and simmered pork belly. Then I noticed they had bento boxes, and I ordered the "Haha Bento B" for 1300 yen. Looking up at the counter, I saw a variety of local sake and a bottle with a habu snake inside, giving the place a cozy Okinawan diner vibe. The food I ate was all delicious, even more authentic than what I had in Okinawa. The jima tofu was a first for me, and it reminded me of the white sesame tofu from Koyasan. The Spam and bitter melon stir-fry was naturally tasty. The simmered pork belly had a rich flavor, and the mustard complemented it well. The pork soba had a gentle flavor that was comforting. The pickles were a bit different but amusing. The homemade pickled plum was delicious. The only downside was the location. If it were in a more convenient location, I'm sure it would be much busier. I didn't take photos of the evening menu, but it looked just as extensive, perfect for Okinawan cuisine lovers. The two sisters working there made me feel like I was being served home-cooked Okinawan dishes. If you're nearby, I highly recommend visiting at least once. I was very satisfied overall. I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
