On August 24th of this month, Yoshinoya started selling oyakodon. Last spring, it became very popular, so they planned to sell it again this spring, but due to the high cost and shortage of eggs, they started selling it now. Despite the ongoing high prices, I visited the restaurant on Southern Street while thinking about these things. I thought I had avoided the busy lunch hour, but there was a line in front of the store. I wondered if people were waiting for a table, but it turned out to be a fast-food style line where you order and pay first. After waiting for about 5 minutes, I received my food and headed to the back of the restaurant, which had a stylish and trendy atmosphere suitable for solo female diners. I used to frequent a certain chain that specialized in Kyoto-style udon and oyakodon, but I couldn't taste the natural softness and fluffiness of the eggs anymore. I checked the website for information on the origin of the ingredients, and while the chicken meat was stated to be from Thailand and Vietnam, there was no information on the origin of the eggs. Given the issue of high egg prices, I worried that they might be using processed eggs that don't solidify even when microwaved, like those in convenience store bento boxes. However, I was relieved to see whole eggs in the kitchen, indicating that they were using eggs cracked on-site. Intrigued by the promise of double the usual amount of chicken meat sealed with two eggs, I ordered the large oyakodon. It was a satisfying bowl with tender chicken cooked in a sweet sauce, crunchy onions, and a gooey egg that left me feeling content.

Beef bowl with vegetables, extra sauce, at Kuroi Yoshinoya for 657 yen. The staff seemed inexperienced with charging and payment. It seems like not many people opt for charging at any of the stores. At Kuroi Yoshinoya, you pay first before ordering. The regular size portion didn't have enough meat, should have gone for the large size. The interior is clean and spacious, and you can make your own tea from the hot water dispenser, which is nice.

I visited the restaurant around 4 p.m. on a weekday. It was my first time at this establishment. Upon entering, I placed my order and paid at the register, then waited for my order to be prepared. I picked up condiments like pickled ginger and shichimi chili, as well as tea, chopsticks, and napkins at the self-service counter. I then proceeded to find a seat in the back and enjoyed my meal. I ordered the "Charred Green Onion Grilled Chicken Bowl" (regular: 547 yen) without realizing the ordering process was different from what I was used to. The dish consisted of rice topped with grilled chicken and white green onions, with fresh green onions as garnish. The use of both grilled and fresh green onions was a nice touch, and the dish was flavorful with a slightly sweet sauce. The white green onions had a slight char on them, adding to the overall taste. The atmosphere of the restaurant was modern and stylish, with wooden floors and tables, stone-like walls, and decorative fake plants. Each table even had outlets and USB charging ports. Overall, the experience was different from the traditional Yoshinoya restaurants I was familiar with, but I enjoyed the meal and the ambiance of the place.

Yesterday, I had a super high-quality beef bowl for 1000 yen, but today I didn't have much time, so I went for the fast, cheap, and delicious Yoshinoya beef bowl. It's my favorite among chain restaurants. I like to add a little extra sauce, pickled ginger, and shichimi pepper on top of the regular bowl.

I visited Yoshinoya in the Tenjin area of Fukuoka City. It was crowded during lunchtime, but the turnover was fast. Yoshinoya is a representative of beef bowl restaurants. In my opinion, it is the best among the three major chains for beef bowls. This time, I couldn't resist the temptation of beef yakiniku instead of beef bowl.
- Beef Yakiniku Set Meal (657 yen): The portion was decent and the meat was not thin. It had a nice sweet and savory flavor with the yakiniku sauce, which went well with the rice. Before I knew it, rice refills were free. The onions were still crispy and not mushy. It seemed like the staff might be understaffed as I had to wait quite a bit for the menu and refills at Yoshinoya. However, the quality is continuously improving. I look forward to what's to come. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by for lunch at Yoshinoya Tenjin Southern Street store. As expected in Fukuoka, even Yoshinoya looks stylish and cool compared to Kumamoto! I ordered the Karaage Don (Fried Chicken Bowl) set for 613 yen including tax. It takes about 8 minutes to fry, but it's worth the wait for this delicious Karaage Don! It's a speedy service restaurant, but I ordered the menu item that takes the longest to prepare! The hot and tasty Karaage Don is just what I needed. I have a health check-up tomorrow, so I'll refrain from using too much mayonnaise! Even though I'm eating fried food...haha. As expected, Yoshinoya's Karaage Don is cheap and delicious! Thank you for the meal! Thanks to the PayPay campaign, I'm happy to receive almost half of the points back.

I visited for lunch on my day off. I had a sudden craving for beef bowl, so I went in. For me, Yoshinoya is the go-to place for beef bowls. It's consistently good no matter where you go in the country. Today, I ordered the large size with additional pickles and miso soup. The beef bowl has the same flavor and taste as always. The pickled ginger that comes with it is unique to Yoshinoya and goes best with the beef bowl. Back when I was a broke student, I used to order a regular beef bowl with just rice and move the toppings onto the rice, then eat it with just pickled ginger. It's a nostalgic memory. Yoshinoya is always reliable. I will continue to visit in the future.

I visited the restaurant for a late-night meal after work. It is a self-service style place that feels clean. I decided to try something other than the usual beef bowl this time. Based on the good reviews from other customers, I ordered the fried chicken bowl. The outside was crispy while the inside was tender and juicy, living up to the reputation of a major chain restaurant. I recommend visiting after drinking in Tenjin for a nice finish to the night.

At this restaurant, unlike regular Yoshinoya, you order at the counter as soon as you enter, pay, receive your food, and then find a table to eat. Some people even secure a table before ordering. There are counter seats facing the wall with power outlets/USB ports. It's unusual for a fast food chain like this to provide power outlets. If people start lingering longer, the wait time for those who want to eat quickly will increase, potentially lowering customer satisfaction. But the combination of beef bowl, egg, and shichimi spice is incredibly delicious.

The pork loin cutlet set meal was disappointing. The rice was kind of bland.

To the major beef bowl chain restaurant Yoshinoya! At this Yoshinoya, it is a unique style to order at the counter instead of at the table. I ordered the large size beef bowl! The taste was the usual delicious Yoshinoya flavor! I will definitely visit again!
