This is a report on a revisit to "Shenyang Restaurant" located on the first floor of the Pearson Hotel near Kitami Station in Hokkaido. The popular dish, "Five-Ingredient Ankake Yakisoba" was delicious with a sweet sauce, plenty of seafood, and vegetables. The "Oil-Blanched Chicken" made with local chicken was juicy and flavorful with a sweet sauce. Both dishes were very tasty and the portion sizes were just right. The rice was also a great addition. Overall, the authentic Chinese cuisine at reasonable prices was highly recommended. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is my first time visiting for dinner. I usually come for lunch and get a set meal, but tonight I ordered a la carte. I had the five-ingredient ankake soba. The weather started getting colder in the evening, so warm soba was perfect. This Chinese restaurant is located inside the Bison Hotel. It had been a while since I last visited, and I noticed they had a system where you could order using your smartphone. Of course, I just ordered verbally (laughs). You can eat for less than 1,000 yen. They also have dim sum and a variety of alcoholic beverages. It's a bit of a walk from Kitami Station, but you can also drive and park at the NAPS building in front of the Bison Hotel.

I ordered the pork stir-fry set meal for around 1,000 yen and a 3-piece oil-drizzled chicken for 550 yen. Both dishes were generous in portion size, with the pork stir-fry having a rich flavor and the oil-drizzled chicken having just the right amount of crispiness and seasoning. Despite the temperature being over 30 degrees in Kitami, the restaurant was comfortably cool due to being in a hotel, allowing us to enjoy our meal. Thank you for the delicious food. Aituki

I go on a tour every year to a Chinese restaurant with a 3-night stay at a hotel. I have breakfast, dinner, and lunch there. Considering it's in Kitami, the Chinese cuisine is above average. The shrimp and lettuce fried rice was delicious. I couldn't get used to Kitami's new specialty, salt-grilled noodles. The mapo tofu was on the sweeter side.

In the middle of nowhere in Kitami, a fairly decent Chinese restaurant can be found. I ordered the lunch set menu with Zhongfalin young chicken oil-splashed chicken for 1000 yen including tax, with free extra serving option. The food took quite a while to come out, even after the order of my companion who arrived later. The service here is not up to par, especially for a hotel restaurant. The oil-splashed chicken was not bad, with fresh vegetables and a tangy sweet and sour flavor. The fried chicken was not too big, just enough for a few bites. Overall, the restaurant is average in every aspect. It might be okay to visit alone.

I wanted to try the yakisoba here once. The menu says "Salt Yakisoba 8 pieces". It's rare to see a place that pays attention to the chopsticks even with local specialties. It was brought on a hot plate, and finished with a magical liquid poured on top. The locally sourced wheat has a good aroma and texture. There were three large scallops. The soup was onion soup. Being a hotel Chinese dish, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the oil-drizzled chicken lunch. The meat was tender, well-seasoned, and there were five large pieces for only 1000 yen, making it a good deal. It was delicious and satisfying! The shrimp chili was also nicely spicy, not too overwhelming. Thank you for the meal!

The weather is bad with rain, but the restaurant is crowded. I wanted to try the most popular Ankake Yakisoba here. It seems they have stopped the lunch drink service, which is basically a price increase of over 300 yen. Are the noodles different depending on the cook? They were too soft. The Yakisoba seemed uncooked probably due to the crowd. The Gomoku Ankake Yakisoba in large size was expensive at 1100 yen. The taste was too sweet and made me feel sick. Disappointed with the service, taste, and price. I won't be going back. I'll go to another restaurant.

On the final day of the tour in Hokkaido, I decided to try the famous salt yakisoba in Kitami! It was my first time visiting Han'you Hanten. First, I ordered some shrimp mayo, grilled gyoza, and fried chicken as appetizers with my highball. And for the main dish, I had the salt yakisoba. The shrimp mayo was delicious with a generous amount of shrimp. And the salt yakisoba was served sizzling on an iron plate with scallop broth, which was very flavorful and refreshing. It was a great way to end the meal. I will definitely come back again!

I had delicious Hokkaido Kitami salt yakisoba at a Chinese restaurant! It was a hot iron plate yakisoba with plenty of onions and seafood. The sound of the magic soup sizzling on the plate really stimulates the appetite. It was also delicious to sprinkle mountain wasabi on top. I usually review ramen, but sometimes I review local gourmet food in Hokkaido. The 24th feature is the "Ohotsuku Kitami Salt Yakisoba" in Kitami again.=================================When it comes to local gourmet food in Kitami, it's the "Ohotsuku Kitami Salt Yakisoba". Unlike regular salt yakisoba, it must meet the conditions set by the "Ohotsuku Kitami Salt Yakisoba Promotion Council" (8 articles of definition and rules, and 3 articles to enhance satisfaction) to be called "Ohotsuku Kitami Salt Yakisoba" (^^;;. The conditions include using scallops from Ohotsuku, onions from Kitami, and a special salt sauce made with Ohotsuku salt. In addition, it uses noodles made from wheat grown in Hokkaido, and disposable chopsticks made from Hokkaido pine wood, emphasizing local production and consumption and regional revitalization. This "Ohotsuku Kitami Salt Yakisoba" was born in 2007, the 19th year of Heisei. It was created to commemorate Kitami City becoming the largest city in Hokkaido in the previous year's "Great Heisei Merger", when Kitami City merged with neighboring Rumoi Town, Tanno Town, and Tomamae Town facing the Sea of Ohotsuku, expressing the city with "yakisoba".Among the restaurants in the city that offer "Ohotsuku Kitami Salt Yakisoba", I visited "Shenyang Restaurant" located inside Pearson Hotel in Kitami station area this time. The restaurant is located at Kitami City North 4th Street West 3-chome Kitami Pearson Hotel 1F. It is in the downtown area in front of Kitami Station. I used the multi-story parking lot called "NUPS" located across from the hotel for parking. Since there are many one-way streets around Kitami Station, it can be a bit tricky to drive if you are not used to it. Both the parking lot and the hotel entrance are along "North 3rd Street". When searching for "Shenyang Restaurant" on Google Maps, the entrance on "North 4th Street" is indicated, but it's a bit difficult to reach the parking lot due to the one-way street (・・;). I think it's easier to search for "Pearson" instead of "Shenyang Restaurant" for smoother access. Parking is free for up to 3 hours with a stamp on the parking ticket. I entered the restaurant around 19:00. It was quite crowded. I was seated at a table and looked at the menu. Since it's a Chinese restaurant in a hotel, there are many authentic dishes lined up, but the prices are surprisingly reasonable. It might be good for regular use. Of course, since I was in Kitami, I had to order the "Ohotsuku Kitami Salt Yakisoba". It was 880 yen, which I think is a fair price for yakisoba. After about 10 minutes, the hot yakisoba arrived on a hot plate. Then, a staff member poured "magic water" over the yakisoba, and steam rose from the yakisoba with a sizzling sound. The "magic water" is actually a broth made by simmering scallop extract. By pouring it over the hot yakisoba, the rich scent of scallops fills the air, and I enjoyed this yakisoba with my sense of smell first♪ The disposable chopsticks provided are made from wood grown in the local Rumoi Town, giving off a faintly pleasant woody scent. Now, let's eat♪ The scallops from Ohotsuku Sea are delicious♡ Along with Kitami-grown onions, squid, octopus, shimeji mushrooms, and the fragrant fried onions, you can enjoy the local seafood and mountain delicacies of Ohotsuku Kitami on a hot iron plate♪ The thick noodles have a chewy texture, and you can taste the flavor of wheat. I enjoyed the taste of Kitami while sipping the egg soup. I added mountain wasabi halfway through for a change in flavor. The spicy kick added excitement, and I quickly finished it all♪ It was delicious~(*´∀`*) The price range is reasonable and just right. I liked it so much that I visited the next day for lunch and had the "Hoikoro Set Meal" for 990 yen. It was also delicious. This is a restaurant on the first floor of Kitami Pearson Hotel. It is a business hotel, so there are probably many people who look like salarymen, and you can easily enter alone. First, try the Kitami specialty, Kitami Salt Yakisoba. It is made with firm noodles grilled on a hot plate and topped with fried onions. After it is served on the table, you pour salt sauce over it and eat it. It is recommended as a Kitami B-class gourmet dish. For drinks, try Pea Tan and Shrimp Chili as snacks.

When I searched for Chinese cuisine in Kitami, this place came up in the top results. I decided to check it out and found out that it's located on the first floor of a hotel. I went there around 12:30 pm, but it was already full, so I had to wait in the hotel lobby. Initially, I was alone, but more people started waiting, and soon the lobby was full. After a short wait, I was called in. The restaurant wasn't very spacious. I ordered the large portion of Ankake Yakisoba for 880 yen, with an additional 165 yen for a drink, totaling 1045 yen. It seemed like there was only one chef working. I had to wait a bit even inside the restaurant, but the dish finally arrived. The large portion was surprisingly filling. The ingredients were a bit lacking - not enough Chinese cabbage and seafood. It would have been better with some quail eggs added. The noodles were nicely grilled, providing a good mix of chewiness and crunchiness. The seasoning of the Ankake Yakisoba was traditional and satisfying. Overall, I enjoyed the lunch atmosphere at the hotel, so I might visit again while in Kitami.

I arrived in Kitami City in the early afternoon and stopped by here in between appointments. I parked my car at the multi-level parking lot across the street, and when you get a stamp from the restaurant, you can exit for free at the payment machine by the exit. There were about 8 groups of customers before us, and we were seated in a raised seating area at the back. My partner was looking forward to the Kitami salt yakisoba, but I decided to change my order to the seafood stir-fry with fish sauce after they offered to share a mini mapo tofu rice bowl with me instead. The salt yakisoba arrived in 13 minutes, and the seafood stir-fry arrived in 16 minutes. The seafood stir-fry was light and the shrimp, squid, and scallops were tender, suitable even for older customers. We enjoyed adding pepper at the table to adjust the flavor as we ate. The salad was also light and tasty with plenty of onion dressing. The Kitami salt yakisoba was brought to us and then the staff poured fish stock over it, creating a sizzling aroma. Eating it while letting the edges crisp up on the hot plate was fantastic. Adding wasabi and spicy oil made it even better for me, a fan of spicy food! The mini mapo tofu rice bowl was delicious, but as a spicy food lover, adding spicy oil at the table made it even better. I wonder what I'll try next time I come here. Thank you for the meal!

I came to Kitami City for personal reasons. It's lunchtime, so I want to eat partner's ankake yakisoba! Upon request, I arrived at this unvisited place. The restroom was located outside the store, so please use it before entering. After looking through the menu, we ordered ankake yakisoba and I ordered the yurin chicken set meal. During lunchtime, we were able to add a mini mapo tofu donburi at a discounted price, so we ordered that as well. During lunchtime, drinks are also included as a service. After 3 minutes, the ankake yakisoba was brought to us. Shortly after, the yurin chicken set meal appeared. The taste was good and light, and the portion size was quite large. The chicken was juicy and crispy on the outside! Towards the end, I added some pepper, salt, and vinegar from the table to change the flavor. The side dishes included pickled vegetables, soup, and the famous Kitami onion salad. The ankake yakisoba had large ingredients and the noodles were firm. Overall, it was a light and enjoyable meal that would be liked by both young people and the elderly. It was a restaurant that made me want to visit again! Thank you for the meal!

In Kitami, there is a Chinese restaurant that offers great value for lunch. I have been there many times and my favorite is the mapo tofu set meal. You can also request it to be spicy when ordering. I always choose the spicy option, and it has a gentle spiciness that is very delicious. There is also a hint of sweetness in it. The salad and soup that come with it are also tasty. I highly recommend it!

The Kitami salt yakisoba noodles were too short and difficult to eat. I was looking forward to finding whole scallops in it, but I could only see scallops and eggs, and I couldn't eat the eggs because they didn't suit my taste. The mini mapo tofu bowl that came with the lunch was only spicy and lacked flavor, so I left most of it uneaten. I tried my best with the yakisoba, but I started to get tired of the taste and couldn't finish it. The egg drop soup was okay, it was probably the most delicious part of the meal.

Mapo tofu lunch! Of course, I ordered it spicy! The price seems to be about the same as before, still very reasonable and I'm happy they are making an effort. I noticed they cut the tofu into diamond shapes - it gives a nice visual appeal and makes it look delicious. I should try to replicate that at home...! (lol)

It was lunchtime and I could order dishes separately. The mapo tofu had a nice level of spiciness that was delicious. The spring rolls were average. The yakisoba with sauce was a bit soft, I wish it was a bit more fried or grilled. The crab fried rice was more like pilaf, not very fluffy. A drink was offered as a service, so I chose iced tea. I'm full, thank you for the meal.

I visited for the first time and it was packed with locals who love it! I was glad I made a reservation. The recommended dishes here are shrimp chili (large shrimp), ankake yakisoba, ankake shoyu vegetable ramen. These three were delicious. Overall, the flavors were good. The mapo tofu and ankake white fish may be hit or miss for some people. If I come to Kitami again, I would definitely return to this family-friendly restaurant.
