[Second Visit] 2015/04
I revisited because I was curious about the "Tochiotome Chocolate Croissant" next to the chocolate croissant last time (*´∀`). On this day, there was something that caught my attention about the staff. It was around 4 pm on a Monday evening... While sitting at a table reading an economic magazine, a young man (probably a university student) at the adjacent table was approached by a young woman (also around university age). From their conversation, it seemed like they were both students at the same university, and the girl seemed to be working part-time here. She was in casual clothes, probably just finished her shift. The conversation ended quickly with something like "Oh, you work here?" The girl then went somewhere for a bit. After a while, three of the young man's university friends arrived and they all joined together. It got a bit noisy, making it hard to read the magazine... (´・ω・`) But this was within expectations. After all, eateries are places to socialize, and if I didn't like it, I could just move to another seat. (I was asked to be more specific about this part, so I have directly conveyed my feedback to the company.) I learned that Fukuoka City (not Fukuoka "Prefecture") has an astonishing 97% of small and medium-sized enterprises! Most of them are local companies. This made me wonder if the work environment there is less strict since I grew up in Osaka where there are many subcontractors of large companies, which can be tough. The differences in what is acceptable and what is not between regions may stem from such factors, I think. Honestly, I feel there might be a lack of leadership from the manager. They are dealing with students who have not yet entered the workforce, and since the business is customer-oriented, they should provide proper guidance (^-^).
[First Visit] 2015/04
Huh? Was there always a Saint Marc Café here? ( ・∇・) According to the reviews, it seems to have been here for a while (laughs). I felt like having a chocolate croissant after a long time, so I entered. Just when the freshly baked chocolate croissants came out, I quickly got oneヽ(´▽`)/ I also got a ham hot sandwich. I added a hot coffee, and it cost 550 yen. The chocolate croissant was delicious (*´ω`*) The hot sandwich was cold. It was okay. It would have been better if they had warmed it up (ノД`)... They could have asked me if I wanted it warmed up... In Osaka, they usually ask... (*^^*) In Fukuoka, there is a Saint Marc Café, but there are no regular Saint Marc restaurants. Well, I think it's okay.
