Petit Restaurant Giro, a restaurant recommended by Omoumai, was the destination for our gathering. Despite a series of unfortunate events delaying my arrival, including work troubles, train delays due to accidents, and a train departure delay due to a medical emergency, I finally made it to the restaurant with the help of a friend. We started with a toast, enjoying red and white wines. The chef's meticulous work was evident in the presentation and taste of each dish, from the appetizer of paprika mousse with shrimp and vegetables to the main courses of sea bream and beef fillet. The desserts, including grapefruit pudding, chocolate cake, and assorted baked goods, were all homemade and delicious. The chef's dedication to preparing and serving each dish personally was impressive, and the overall experience was delightful. The chef even offered a chance for seconds on the meat dish! We ended the meal with coffee and a pleasant chat with the chef. Despite the challenges, it was a memorable dining experience, and I wish the chef continued success. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited "Petit Restrant Giro" in Honcho and tried the "Chicken Confit Lunch (1200 yen)" on a weekday. It was my first time at this restaurant. There were no people waiting 15 minutes before opening, and I was able to enter smoothly with only 2 people at the opening. The chicken confit was delicious, but the portion was a bit small. The carrot soup and coffee were also included in the lunch set. The owner, who has a strong personality, was still the same as ever.

Located in Honmachi, Bistro Petit Restrant Giro is situated on the left side of the second street to the north after turning west at the Gamocho 3 signal on Midosuji. The restaurant, which has recently resumed lunch service following a break due to TV broadcasts, has 8 counter seats and one table seat. Despite being a small space, the owner appears busy serving the 6 customers who arrived within the first 10 minutes of opening. The lunch set (1200 yen) includes a choice of seasonal soup or quiche, chicken confit or macaroni gratin, bread, and coffee. The background music of chansons, particularly Edith Piaf's rendition of "La Vie en Rose," creates a pleasant atmosphere. The meal, consisting of quiche with homemade bread, a piping hot cream gratin filled with macaroni, and a strong black coffee, left the reviewer feeling satisfied.

On a regular day, I made a reservation and visited a restaurant that has become difficult to book since it was featured on TV about a year ago. It seemed a bit calmer now, so I decided to use it for dinner after a long time. The dinner cost 5,700 yen plus the drink price in cash. - Appetizer: Foie gras terrine. The terrine was very rich and delicious. It was perfect when eaten on the bread provided. - Fish dish: Parrotfish. The parrotfish was grilled to perfection and topped with a delicious sauce. The sauce was so tasty that I drank it all with a spoon. - Meat dish: Beef fillet. The sauce was poured over the beef fillet right in front of me after it was served. The meat was tender and the sauce was delicious, so I enjoyed it with bread. - Dessert: Chocolate cake, mille-feuille with strawberries, creme caramel. - Tea sweets - Coffee The owner, Giro-san, was in a good mood and more talkative than usual.笑

I passed by this place a few times before, but it didn't seem like they were serving lunch, so I couldn't come. After checking the information again, I found out that they had resumed serving lunch. I guess they were on a break. The sign was out, so I thought they were open... but the menu was hidden behind the sign, so I wasn't sure if they were actually open. I decided to go up to the front of the restaurant... the lights were on, but there was no open sign or anything, and when I cautiously opened the door, it was unlocked, but no one was inside. Just as I was wondering what to do with the door open, a man came out from the back. I asked if they were serving lunch, and he said they were, so I sat down. It was a bit awkward with no one else there. There was no explanation, just a simple "what will you have?" I figured I should pick something from the blackboard menu on the wall. Do I choose a main course? What about appetizers? After a brief pause, the man suggested I leave it up to him, so I agreed. While the owner was getting things ready, I quickly read some reviews and found out that he had a unique personality. And indeed (;´∀`)... Oh well, I guess you have to choose between an appetizer and a main course. Oh well, it'll be a surprise when it comes out! The soup arrived. Carrot soup! I wasn't sure what to expect. It had a fluffy texture with tiny bubbles. Oh, it's delicious. You can taste the carrot flavor. Two pieces of bread came, a bit hot. The main course was confit. The aroma of vinegar wafted up. I just cut it, but the owner said to cut it differently. I had to cut the joint first. Then I finally managed to cut the meat. It was tender, with crispy skin and juicy meat. It had some fat, but it wasn't overpowering, maybe because of the vinegar. It was a tasty confit. The side dishes were fries, glazed carrots, and green beans. Would you like coffee? I asked for tea instead. They offered Lipton Yellow Label tea. Would you like anything in it? Do you have lemon? They had lemon. The tea was served in a pot. It's cold today, so a gratin would be nice, but it's your first time here, right? We're good at confit here, so come back for the gratin next time! The owner seemed a bit brusque, but that was it. The lunch cost 1200 yen. Thank you for the meal.

On February 10th, a little after 11:30 am, I finally visited a restaurant, Petit Restaurant Giro, that I had been wanting to try! The lunch menu offers only one option, either seasonal soup or quiche. The carrot potage soup had a gentle sweetness from the carrots and was delicious. For the main dish, you can choose between chicken confit or gratin. The chicken confit was cooked slowly for 2 hours at a low temperature, resulting in crispy skin and incredibly tender meat. The meal also included two homemade bread rolls, which were great. To finish, I had a hot coffee and an additional dessert, the recommended Gâteau Chocolat, which had a hint of white rum and was a delightful adult treat. The lunch cost 1,200 yen (tax included) and the extra dessert was 400 yen (tax included), which I found to be reasonable. The restaurant has only 8 seats, so I was lucky to be seated quickly as they had just reopened for lunch service.

About a year ago, a TV show aired featuring this restaurant, causing a surge in reservations. Since then, they have only been open for dinner, with lunch service on hold. But they have finally resumed lunch service. The lunch set costs 1,100 yen and includes soup or quiche, confit or gratin, and homemade bread. They also offer coffee for 100 yen and four types of desserts for 400 yen each, including Gateau Chocolat. The payment is cash only. I noticed the lunch service sign and decided to go in. It seems they have resumed lunch service now that things have calmed down a bit. The owner, Giro-san, was as friendly as ever. Due to the rising cost of ingredients, the prices for lunch and desserts have increased slightly.

I visited a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while, but they weren't serving lunch due to TV influences. I arrived at the restaurant after 11 o'clock, and I could hear music coming from inside. They must be preparing for the day at this time. I would like to go back for dinner next time.

On this day, I went to Honmachi for a girls' night out with some friends I hadn't seen in a while. We went to a restaurant called "Delicious Restaurant" that had been featured on TV, causing an increase in reservations and making it difficult for them to keep up with preparation, so they are currently only open for dinner. I wasn't familiar with the TV show itself, but I was looking forward to it. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:30 pm. The restaurant is located about a 10-minute walk northwest from Honmachi Station, in a building behind Tachinomi 8. There are only about 8 seats at the counter inside the restaurant. Due to the famous owner running the place alone, they can only start serving once the entire group is present. The only option for food is a set course for 5,700 yen. It is mostly omakase style, so it's best to inform them of any food preferences or dislikes when making a reservation. We were a bit late for our reservation, but once everyone was there, the course started. We shared a bottle of wine for drinks. The dishes were all classic, traditional French cuisine and delicious. The course included appetizers, fish dishes, meat dishes, three types of desserts, coffee, and petit fours. Personally, I could do without the desserts, but when I tried them, they were also traditional French pastries and quite sweet. They paired well with the coffee and were tasty. The chef speaks in a lively Edo-style manner, which may be a bit surprising, but not intimidating. We had a great time chatting with the chef during our girls' night out. Overall, it was a great experience. <Set Course> 5,700 yen (tax included) - Appetizer: Paprika mousse with a cocktail of shrimp, squid, cucumber, etc. - Fish dish: Pan-fried black sea bream with a fish soup. The soup was particularly delicious. - Meat dish: Grilled beef fillet with Madeira sauce. The beef fillet was tender and paired well with the sauce. - Dessert: Grapefruit pudding, chocolate cake, and pear tart with vanilla ice cream. <Drinks> (tax included) - White wine (3,800 yen x 2) - Red wine (3,800 yen)

A certain restaurant that was featured on a TV show... It used to serve lunch as well, but due to the influx of dinner reservations after the TV exposure, lunch is currently on hold. It seems that dinner reservations are also difficult to come by, making it hard to visit even though I wanted to. One day, out of the blue, I received an invitation! A friend managed to make a reservation ❤️ The only option was a course menu! We all started together ☝️ ★ White wine ¥3800 First, a toast with wine♪(*^^)o∀*∀o(^^*)♪ ★ Course ¥5700 ▪️Paprika mousse ▪️Bread ▪️Pan-seared black sea bream with soup and poisson sauce ▪️Grilled beef fillet with Madeira sauce ▪️Cheese plate ▪️Coffee The chef handles everything from cooking to customer service alone, which is amazing! The paprika mousse in a glass was very creamy and delicious♪ It looked lovely and elegant✨ The pan-seared black sea bream had crispy skin and tender flesh, and the eggplant garnish was fantastic♡ ★ Red wine ¥3800 Red wine goes well with meat♬ The meat was tender and cooked medium. The sauce made with Madeira wine was rich and flavorful♡ A classic French dish❣️ Dessert included grapefruit pudding, tart poire, gateau chocolat, and miniardises❤️ We finished with coffee and had a wonderful and delicious evening☺️ Thank you to the chef, the restaurant, the food, the friends, and the delicious meal✴️✴️✴️ Thank you for the feast!

Located in Honmachi, Osaka, this French restaurant has a high rating of 3.44 on Tabelog (as of April 24, 2022), just shy of being highly rated. I became interested in this restaurant after seeing it featured on a TV show called "Omouma", which typically showcases places known for their large portions or low prices that may not necessarily look delicious, but this restaurant stood out as one I would like to try. The chef has even worked with Pierre Gagnaire in the past. I tried the 5,700 yen course menu along with a half bottle of sparkling wine (2,500 yen), both prices inclusive of tax. The meal included appetizers (foie gras terrine, couscous, consommé jelly, carrot rapé, etc.), two types of bread, pan-seared black sea bream, grilled fillet beef (Australian), dessert (chocolate cake, raspberry sorbet, tart, fig compote, strawberries, etc.), and a cheese platter. The appetizers were quite elaborate, with dishes like foie gras terrine. The black sea bream was served with lobster coulis, which had a rich and flavorful taste. The fillet beef was cooked well and paired nicely with a truffle sauce. The dessert, especially the chocolate cake, was a standout with a strong white rum flavor. Overall, the classic French cuisine was delicious, and the portion sizes were just right, making it a satisfying meal. The chef, as seen on TV, had a rough but entertaining personality, sharing interesting stories and references to renowned chefs like Robuchon and Pierre Gagnaire. The restaurant had reduced seating and acrylic dividers for safety measures, and currently only offers dinner service. While popular dishes like quiche, lobster, confit, and chocolate cake are no longer available individually, the fixed course menu is still worth trying. Reservations were easy to make, and I would definitely return to this restaurant if I were in the area.

At noon on a regular day, there were already 2 groups of customers ahead. Finally, Giro-san was featured on TV. Many customers seem to have seen the preview. Quiche (or soup), hamburger, bread, coffee, tart, and fraise for 1,450 yen. Today, I chose the hamburger. It was a fluffy and tender hamburger with delicious sauce. The homemade dessert was also delicious! Thank you for the meal.

On a regular day at 11:40, I had an early lunch. There were three groups of customers ahead of me, so half of the counter was already taken. I ordered soup, gratin, and coffee for 1,100 yen. The soup was pumpkin soup and the gratin was quite filling. I heard that they spend an hour and a half making the white sauce. It was a delicious lunch made with care.

The chef efficiently served a delicious lunch for 1000 yen, with a drink for 100 yen and dessert for 350 yen. The chef also makes homemade bread. The cutlet had gooey cheese inside. Even though it was my first time there, the chef happily talked about the cooking process and his passion for food. I was captivated by the amazing dishes. The chef recommended the gratin, so I plan to go back to try it.

I often use this restaurant for lunch, but the dinner dishes are also really delicious. The chef does everything by himself and serves very elaborate dishes. Perhaps it's because of the location or the eccentric chef, but not many people come, and he's worried. At first glance, he may seem gruff, but he puts a lot of effort into making elaborate dishes and expresses gratitude to the customers who come to the restaurant. He used to work in France in the past, making not only dishes but also bread and desserts all handmade. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. The omakase course costs 4,200 yen. When making a reservation, he asks about the ingredients you want to eat or dislike. This time, I asked for the chef's recommendation. - Curry-flavored sauteed oysters - Scallop mousse wrapped in lotus leaf - Red wine-braised wagyu beef cheek - Dessert assortment (chocolate cake, tarte aux pommes, caramel mousse) The wagyu beef cheek was so tender and delicious! The sauce was also tasty, so dipping bread in it was also delicious. The desserts were also handmade by the chef. I love the chocolate cake. To get such elaborate dishes at this price, the cost performance is really great. I will definitely go again!

I visited for lunch! The restaurant is located behind Botanica Curry. The interior is small, with mainly counter seats. Two female regular customers were leaving as we arrived, so it was just my husband and I. For lunch, you can choose from several options for appetizers and mains, with some items requiring a small additional fee, but the basic lunch course is only 1000 yen, so it's cheap. - Appetizers I ordered the terrine (+100 yen), and my husband ordered the soup. The terrine had a strong meaty taste, different from the healthier terrine I usually enjoy at my favorite French restaurant, but it was still delicious. I tried a bite of the pumpkin soup, and it was tasty. - Bread They emphasized that the bread was homemade, and it was delicious with butter on top. - Main I wanted to try the chicken confit, which had good reviews, but my husband ordered it first, so I went with the white fish meunière. The chef boasted that the confit was made with a secret sauce that was continuously added and improved, making it the best confit around. Both the confit and meunière were tasty, but we visited during a slower time, so the chef's conversation overshadowed the flavors a bit. Overall, the food was delicious and good value for money, but the chef's strong personality may not be for everyone. It could be a hit or miss depending on the person.

The lunch service allows you to choose two items from the top and bottom of the menu for 1000 yen each, two drinks for 100 yen each, dessert for 350 yen, and an additional 100 yen for bread or consumption tax. The owner, who trained in France, has been in business for 18 years, making the restaurant seem like a long-standing French cuisine establishment. The food is all handmade and very delicious. I had quiche and hamburger, which were both very tasty. The price for this quality of food at lunchtime is unbelievably cheap in Osaka. The menu items written on the order form appear to be in French. The restaurant has 2 tables and 8 counter seats. It's quite impressive to see one person handling all the cooking, reminiscent of the chef in a cooking manga. The bread is homemade and baked in the shop, with a texture similar to French bread but not too hard. I only know of a few places in Osaka that offer homemade bread, such as a cafe near Midoribashi. I saw a previous customer receiving what looked like gloves from the owner, which seemed to be for taking leftover bread home. We also took some bread home. The dish with white fish is apparently flounder.
