The all-you-can-eat and drink course at Gyu-kaku with 90 varieties made it easy to order with just the right amount on each plate. The single item menu was also extensive, and even though the desserts were smaller in size, they were perfect for when you wanted something light. I tried the grilled pineapple, which was drizzled with honey. My companion seemed skeptical, but since they were okay with warm fruits, they ended up enjoying the deliciously grilled pineapple.

I was excited to go to Gyu-Kaku after a long time, but there were several changes. As far as I could confirm, the following points were noted: - They switched from charcoal to gas fire - Self-service for iced water and soft drinks - The ordering terminal became difficult to use Overall, it was a downgrade. The switch to gas fire was particularly shocking as it made some meats taste worse. For example, the duck meat started to have a fishy smell. It's unclear if the charcoal helped eliminate the smell or if the heat distribution was uneven. Regardless, the meat tasted off. Other meats also lacked flavor. Despite all this, the prices remained the same. What used to be "a bit expensive but delicious meat" now just seemed overpriced for a regular yakiniku restaurant. These changes may be due to the impact of COVID-19 on their profitability. While understandable given the current situation, I hope they return to the old charcoal-grilled Gyu-Kaku soon.

The taste of the number one share in the yakiniku restaurant industry is definitely Gyu-Kaku. While the cost performance may not be the best, there are no flaws. Personally, my favorite item is the duck meat. Most places serve duck meat thinly sliced, but at Gyu-Kaku, the duck meat is served thickly sliced. The juicy duck meat served in thick slices is irresistible. The honey-marinated pork kalbi is also delicious. The sweetness of the honey and the richness of the oil blend perfectly. This dish can be ordered even with the most basic all-you-can-eat course, so I highly recommend trying it. Additionally, although not a meat dish, the cold noodles are also delicious. They can only be ordered with the top-notch course in the all-you-can-eat menu, but the well-balanced broth and the firmness of the noodles are worth praising. With just these dishes, there is definitely enough reason to consider choosing the top-notch course. As for drawbacks, the prices are a bit high, and they don't provide paper napkins, but they do offer wet towels and paper aprons. Overall, if you want to enjoy yakiniku, Gyu-Kaku is definitely a top choice. While the cost performance may not be the best, it is highly recommended for those who want to indulge in a little luxury. As a side note, this restaurant also has a few tatami seating options, about five seats.

I don't think I will go there again. The meat and side dishes were the worst. The meat that came out was completely different from the photos, and I couldn't figure out how to order the meat that was shown in the menu photos. I ended up going home without having anything really delicious. I wonder how they get customers with that. The staff also made multiple mistakes with the menu, but that was tolerable. The staff's service was good. I think the serving time is not an issue, and having a drink bar is convenient for children. There are areas that can be improved, such as presentation and trimming of the meat, but more than that, the meat was terrible, which was very disappointing as I was looking forward to it.

Great cost performance. The plum pork tongue salt and highball are the best.

Ushikado in Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture is a branch of the nationwide Gyu-Kaku chain. We visited in the early evening on a weekday and were seated promptly. The staff kindly recommended some affordable menu items, which we appreciated. We ordered King Harami Miso Garlic x2, Gyu-Kaku Kalbi x2, Gyu Hormone Miso Sauce x2, Kimchi platter, 10 pieces of lettuce, large rice, draft beer, and oolong tea. The harami meat was large and tender, the kalbi was high quality, and the hormone was a favorite. The soy sauce dip was a bit light, so we wished for more flavor. The rice was expensive as usual for a yakiniku restaurant. Unfortunately, they didn't have my favorite tripe on the menu. The manager provided excellent service, but the sauce could use improvement. Overall, the meat satisfied our cravings, and we may return if the sauce is better.

Recommended for: Hanging out with friends or colleagues, dates, entertaining guests, parties, family outings, dining alone. I used this restaurant for a gathering with friends when I visited my hometown after a long time. While I have been to many Gyu-Kaku restaurants before, this one felt a bit smaller in size. The taste was as delicious as any other branch. This time, I tried ordering the thick-cut tongue for the first time. It was incredibly tender and exceeded my expectations. As usual, I presented my T-card during payment to accumulate points.

I planned to go eat yakiniku, but was concerned about the issue of radioactive cesium. However, I found out on the website that the beef from the targeted prefecture is being refrained from, so I felt relieved and decided to go. The North American beef was light and didn't have the rich flavor of Japanese beef, but I opted for the all-you-can-eat "Goku" course. Thanks to a discount coupon on the website, the price went down from 2900 yen to 2600 yen (tax included). During the 90-minute time slot, they changed the grill net 3-4 times and responded to our orders with a smile each time, showing that the staff and part-timers were well-trained. Personally, the dishes I enjoyed the most were the basil chicken cheese fondue, pork belly, sweet potato butter, and beef horn ice cream! The Kalbi-special rice with Korean seaweed on top was also unique and delicious. Plus, you can earn T-Points, so I highly recommend it.

I went to Gyu-Kaku with my friends☆ At first, a set of dishes came out and then we ordered what we wanted to eat! My recommendation is the cheese fondue! The basil and cheese went really well together and I wanted to keep eating it over and over☆ The meat was delicious of course, but the black sugar sweet potato butter grill was also delicious and I ended up getting seconds (lol). There were several types of dipping sauces that were also very tasty☆ If you want to eat yakiniku cheaply, try going to Gyu-Kaku!
