There is a soba restaurant in the basement of Apollo Building! When I went around 11:30 on the weekend, there were already a lot of customers and it was lively. I ordered the Tamago Toji Soba, which had a comforting taste with a strong dashi flavor. It warmed up my body that was chilled by the air conditioning.

I am "Noronori," who mainly walks around eating lunch, mainly in Sakai. I felt like eating a little more. I was torn between the curry restaurant next door, but the soba won! I had the 980 yen curry soba. It had plenty of beef and a thick sauce, which is my favorite type of curry soba. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went to "Shinshu-an" in Tennoji. I was drawn to the idea of an all-you-can-eat soba restaurant. Without hesitation, I ordered the only all-you-can-eat menu item, the Manpuku Ten Zaru for 1100 yen. I also ordered a bottle of beer for 580 yen. Honestly, the taste was average, but I ate my fill of soba. I also got some soba soup. In this world of high prices, all-you-can-eat soba is a blessing. But maybe I'll take a break from cold soba for a while (laughs).

In a relaxed interior with a central large table seat serving as a counter, there is also table seating along the walls. We were served soba tea. I had the Mini Tendon Set Meal, which is the daily special service set meal from 15:00. It's a convenient option for those in between meal times, with the restaurant offering continuous service. On Thursdays, the special was the Mini Tendon Set Meal, which includes a rice bowl and noodles. You can choose between warm or cold noodles, and I opted for cold soba. The tempura topping for the rice bowl included shrimp, shishito pepper, eggplant, and pumpkin. The tempura sauce was already poured over, but there was also a side dish of extra tempura sauce. The soba noodles were white in color and the sauce was a bit on the salty side. It might be better to dip the noodles halfway for better flavor. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Food consumed: Mini Tendon Set Meal (Thursday)…¥860 For more details on the menu and pricing, please refer to the original blog post: https://kyuumudou.livedoor.blog/archives/52279490.html

I was craving soba noodles and stumbled upon a soba restaurant while strolling around. It was Friday, and I decided to order the daily special set meal. As someone who enjoys strong flavors, I found the oyakodon a bit too rich for my taste. The zaru soba, on the other hand, was delicious as usual. The tempura was crispy and tasty. I would have been happy if they had served soba broth towards the end of the meal.

Before watching a movie, I stopped by this shop. I also added some previous photos, but they were all the same. The recommended dish at this shop is soba! This time, I chose udon, which is my favorite thin udon. It has a good texture like somen, but the disappointing part is the taste of the broth. The tempura coating was hard, but it would soften if dipped in the broth. I wished there was ginger with the chirashi sushi. Thank you for the meal.

I was in the middle of solving the mystery of Tennoji, but I took a break to visit the rooftop of Abeno Harukas and relax, so I decided to have lunch before moving on to Chapter 2, which is Tenshiba. I went to Shinshu-an in Abeno Apollo Building. According to their website, it opened in 1972. While soba is the main dish, they also offer udon and rice bowls as seen in the samples outside the shop. Surprisingly, they have a all-you-can-eat soba option called "Manpuku Ten Zaru" for 1000 yen. I wanted something light and cold rather than a rice dish, so I ordered the regular "Ten Zaru" for 1280 yen, and my son got the parent and child bowl (oyako-don) for 800 yen, which he has recently become a big fan of. I'm not sure why the regular Ten Zaru is more expensive than the all-you-can-eat option, but I focused on the tempura rather than quantity. The parent and child bowl for kids looked like it had a soft egg, which is the kind I like. The Ten Zaru came with 2 shrimp tempura, pumpkin, eggplant, shiso leaf, seaweed, and more. The portion of soba was generous and we were both full by the end of the meal. It's starting to become the season when cold soba is delicious.

I went to watch the movie "Masquerade Night" at Apollo here. It was noon before the movie, so I decided to grab some food. I found a place that offered a chirashi sushi set meal with tempura and udon or soba for 1000 yen. I sat at a table and ordered green tea and a chirashi sushi set meal with cold soba. The restaurant had mostly elderly customers, and I noticed a sign for all-you-can-eat soba. I asked the staff about it and found out that you could order the "Manpuku Ten Zaru" for 980 yen. My set meal arrived in about 5 minutes, and it had a good variety of colors and flavors. The soba was delicious with a light broth, and the tempura was crispy and flavorful. The chirashi sushi was also tasty with moist tamagoyaki and crunchy tobiko. Overall, it was a satisfying meal at a good price. I recommend "Shinshu An" for a casual and tasty soba and udon dining experience.

This Shinshu-an restaurant is located at the entrance of Apollo Building, which is connected to Tennoji Station and the underground passage, making it very accessible. I often go there for lunch. Despite its name being Shinshu-an, the dashi broth is actually Kansai-style, which was a bit surprising at first, but now I enjoy it. The set menu includes either inari sushi (50 yen) or chirashi sushi (100 yen), which is great because regular soba alone wouldn't fill me up. The soba is not hand-made, so the flavor is a bit disappointing when cold, but I prefer to have warm soba even in the summer, and it tastes good. Hand-made soba restaurants are not common in Kansai, so it's understandable.

Today I visited a soba restaurant called "Shinshu-an" in front of the fish sanctuary in Rucias. It is a chain restaurant with a few locations in Osaka, but this was my first time visiting. It was around 2 pm on a weekday and the restaurant was about half full. I ordered the Tamagodon set, which comes with a choice of soba or udon, cold or hot. I chose cold soba. The soba had a light color and wasn't too strong in flavor, making it easy to eat and very satisfying. The Tamagodon was delicious with sweet eggs that were both firm and soft in parts, and the rice soaked in the broth was tasty. I left feeling full and satisfied. The only downside was that the staff seemed a bit lacking in attentiveness, standing around until called even when not busy. But I saw they also had hot soba on the menu, so I might come back when it gets colder. Thank you for the meal!

Located near Tennoji Station and Kintetsu Osaka Abenobashi Station, this soba restaurant is situated in the underground area of the well-established commercial facility, Abeno Apollo. The interior of the restaurant consists of a counter seat facing each other in the middle and table seats, totaling around 40 seats. I sat at the end of the counter seat facing each other. This time, I ordered the Kinoha Don set meal (780 yen) and chose warm soba. It was served without much wait. The tray contained Kinoha Don, a mini-sized soba, and pickles. When I tried the soba, I could taste a rich dashi with the flavor of bonito. The soba had a good texture, sinking into the dashi, and the aroma of the soba blended elegantly with the dashi. The chopped tempura on top added depth to the flavor. The Kinoha Don was topped with kamaboko, bamboo shoots, shiitake mushrooms, and trefoil cooked in egg. The red kamaboko resembled autumn leaves, giving it a refined appearance. The seasoning was relatively strong, but the flavor of the trefoil stood out as well. I was satisfied with the meal, especially considering that I received change from 800 yen and felt full. Additionally, I previously mentioned that I wished for at least a non-smoking area, and it seems that smoking is prohibited until 3 pm on weekends and holidays now.

Today's lunch was at "Soba Chaya Shinshu-an Abeno Apollo Building" in Abeno, Osaka. Even though it's Saturday, I had to work at Apollo Building. I ordered the specialty dish, the Hirekatsu Don set for 880 yen. You can choose between udon or soba, and hot or cold. I chose soba and hot. The soba was served first, and it had a good texture and tasted delicious with the condiments. Unfortunately, I couldn't take many photos today as I was with a client. The Hirekatsu Don was tasty with a slightly sweet broth. The portion was just right. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. The restaurant's exterior can be seen at http://www.908clever.com/. Located in Abeno Apollo Building, this soba restaurant caught my attention. I often visit a soba restaurant nearby that also has Shinshu-an written on the chopstick bag, so I wonder if they are part of the same group. I ordered the tempura soba and as expected, I love cold soba! It has a good firmness and the broth is easy to drink, making it quite delicious. The tempura is also fried to perfection. However, for some reason, it lacked a certain excitement. It didn't blow me away with its taste. Overall, I think it's okay.

On the final day of the three-day weekend (Coming of Age Day), I went for a 15km run in the morning, then indulged in drinks from noon. At 3:30 pm, I watched the movie "Creed II" at Apollo Cinema, but it didn't move me as much as "Bohemian Rhapsody" did. After the movie, feeling a bit hungry, I stopped by a restaurant located on the second basement floor of Apollo Building called "Shinshu-an". Before eating soba noodles, I wanted a little snack, and found the perfect option - the "Tipsy Set" (1080 yen) which included shochu, draft beer, a dish from Kikumasamune, assorted appetizers, and grated soba noodles. It was a great deal for the price! I ordered the set with a draft beer. The draft beer arrived first, and a few minutes later, the set was served with a variety of appetizers like edamame and tempura. It was just right for a light eater like me. I poured the soup over the soba noodles and enjoyed it. Can I eat more? (self-reflection) Should I stop? No! I can still drink! I added a glass of Kuro Kirishima on the rocks to continue enjoying the tipsy feeling. I think I'll stop here for today. Thank you for the meal!

I dropped by Apollo after a long time. It was well past lunchtime when I stopped by Shinshu-an. I think they have been in business for a long time, and I vaguely remember visiting before, but I don't remember the taste. Since it was already late, I just ordered the Kitsune Udon. It arrived shortly after. It had a large piece of fried tofu on top ^_^ The broth was well-made, and it mixed well with the udon. The fried tofu was so big that I enjoyed it with the udon until the end. Thank you for the meal.

Tsunukko and Chibitsun are going to the exhibition at Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts today. Before that, they are having a meal at "Shinshu-an" in Abeno Apollo Building - Tsunukko is having zaru soba, which is buckwheat noodles served on a bamboo tray with a dipping sauce. The noodles are thin and go well with the sauce. Chibitsun is having kitsune udon, which comes with a large piece of fried tofu. There are many soba restaurants near Tennoji Station, so it's nice to be able to choose where to eat based on your mood. "Shinshu-an" is one of their favorite places to eat. After that, they visited the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts to see the exhibition "Edo's Comic Prints." They enjoyed all the artworks, but particularly liked Katsushika Hokusai's "Goldfish Series."

Tempura & soba set for 980 yen. The first soba tea was delicious. The portion was bigger than expected and I was very full. Apparently, the soba is all-you-can-eat.
