I went on a day trip to Osaka for work. I had a meeting in Shinsaibashi in the afternoon, so I decided to have lunch at The New World in Shinsaibashi Parco. Unfortunately, they have changed their menu and no longer offer set meals. Instead, they now offer a luxurious bento box style lunch. It's a bit sad that I can no longer have the ginger pork, I hope they bring it back for dinner. I ordered the "Saihoubako" for 2,500 yen. It's a two-tiered bento box with delicious dishes like grilled silver salmon with grated daikon and vinegar, dashimaki with ranou egg, and a variety of other luxurious items. The meal also comes with rice, miso soup, pickles, and tea. The food was so delicious, especially the grilled silver salmon and the caviar dish. It was a bit too much for me to have seconds on rice, especially with an afternoon meeting coming up. Overall, it was a great lunch experience and I highly recommend it for those looking for a luxurious lunch option.

Title: My Familiar Restaurant in Shinsaibashi PARCO is Now a Bib Gourmand!
As the title suggests, the familiar restaurant I visit a few times a month has unexpectedly been awarded a Bib Gourmand! I was so surprised! It's amazing that there is an izakaya under Shinsaibashi PARCO that has received a Bib Gourmand. This is all thanks to the hard work of the staff! So, I will share some photos from July to September.
During the September holidays, they had a collaboration with Chef Shusaku Toba's casual Italian restaurant, Marunouchi o/sio. The last five photos are of the special dishes served during that time. The grilled saury at sio was incredibly delicious! I hope they continue to aim for even greater heights, but I wonder what will happen if it becomes too popular and we can't easily go there anymore!

The New World is located in the underground just a short walk from Shinsaibashi Station. It is a stylish izakaya. Some chain restaurants may serve watered-down highballs, but I was happy to find one here that had a strong whiskey flavor in their highballs.

The interior of the store was a bit dark with a calm atmosphere. I thought it was nice that there was a wide variety of alcohol. The prices were a bit higher than expected. It can be used for gatherings like girls' night out or for a date.

Last night's drinking session was at #Shinsaibashi Parco B2F #Neon Food Street #The New World. As soon as we sat down at our table, we were served with #ochoko filled with delicious broth that captured our stomachs. The appetizer was piping hot #gyoza. We also had a platter of #sashimi for two, including #conger eel with plum, #striped jack, #bluefin tuna, and #flying fish seared to perfection and incredibly tender #squid. The single piece servings of pickled tuna sushi were outstanding. We enjoyed sake like #Amagino Tsuki and #Hakuraku Hoshi. This restaurant, which has been a topic of conversation lately, was open for business and we were glad about that. #Osaka gourmet.

The previous grilled salmon set meal is no longer available, so I ordered the one with grilled salmon in a two-tiered bento box. The price is now higher at 2500 yen compared to before. The grilled salmon and miso soup were truly delicious, but the other side dishes seemed to have lost their flavor compared to before. The cold tea was very tasty though.

I visited a neon dining street in Shinsaibashi with a lively atmosphere that felt more like a local town than a department store basement food court. I had been curious about a particular restaurant among the many options. The food was delicious, although the portion sizes were small and the prices were more like a trendy Tokyo izakaya than a great value. Despite the bustling surroundings, the restaurant was tucked away in the back with fewer people passing by, making it easy for a woman dining alone to feel comfortable.

I visited an izakaya that holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand on a holiday afternoon. They used to have inexpensive lunch sets like silver salmon set, but recently they changed their menu to a lunch called "Vegetable Treasure Box," which is a bento box with a variety of dishes beautifully arranged. Each dish was consistently delicious, and despite the amount, it didn't make me feel too full. They even used natto, which is a challenge as many people in Kansai region are not fond of natto. Personally, I don't like natto either. However, the restaurant did ask about any disliked ingredients, so they are fulfilling their duty in that sense. But honestly, I didn't expect to find natto in a lunch priced at 2500 yen in the city, unlike at a traditional inn's breakfast. So, I didn't mention that I dislike natto. It's a consumer psychology thing, I guess... For example, I don't like cilantro, but I wouldn't go around saying "I don't like cilantro" unless it's in non-Asian cuisine. Despite that, the food was generally delicious. The atmosphere on this floor seems lively and fun, so I would like to come back for a night out sometime.

I visited a one-star chef's izakaya that was rumored about. I stopped by while buying glasses at Parco. The taste was quite good, as expected of a one-star restaurant. The atmosphere was also nice compared to the surrounding noisy and cheap izakayas aimed at young people. However, the prices seemed a bit high, maybe it's the Tokyo price? It felt like catching a glimpse of the Toba World. I feel like trying SIO now. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the popular Yoyogi-Uehara sio group restaurant in Osaka! I quickly visited while it's still a hot topic (lol). The interior of the restaurant is modern and stylish. There are three lunch options, and I chose the Shirasu Don. It was delicious with the addition of garlic soy sauce and egg yolk!

The underground neon food court in Shinsaibashi PARCO has a hip atmosphere with delicious dishes like shumai, potato salad, grilled eggplant, and drool-worthy chicken. The New World flavors are impressive, and there are many other interesting shops to explore. Despite being in a department store basement, it has a nice Japan-Tokyo-pop vibe with the charming world depicted in the artwork of Higashigaku-san. It showcases a unique dining space that embodies the concept of Japan, Tokyo, and pop culture.

When I visited Osaka, I dropped by this restaurant on a whim. Despite making a same-day reservation, they promptly accommodated us. The dishes were all very delicious, and I was very satisfied with the shumai appetizer. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink, which was also very tasty!

It is an izakaya, but they put a lot of effort into their dishes. The grilled salmon has a crispy skin and is delicious. The dashi for ochazuke and side dishes are all tasty and of a high level. For lunch, they also offer dishes like ginger pork and shirasu don. The other izakaya menu items also look delicious.

This is an izakaya in the neon food street of Shinsaibashi, recognized with a Michelin 2023 Bib Gourmand. The spacious counter seating provides a comfortable atmosphere. The dishes are original, creatively presented, and stand out from typical restaurants. I highly recommend this izakaya.

【Spring Bullet Osaka Trip ~】Part 15 The time to return solo is approaching ⏰ You can enjoy until the last minute in Osaka, take the M line to Shinsaibashi and head to the "Neon Food Street" in the basement of PARCO ☆ The New World is a stylish izakaya with a fashionable atmosphere and a good clientele. They have table seats, counter seats, and a la carte lunch menus, so it's perfect for both drinkers and foodies. The sparkling menu is also delicious, and if you order alcohol, you'll get a small appetizer. From the spring menu, try the yellow spring cabbage ohitashi, the unique two-story horse mackerel fry, and the moromi cheese gakko. The atmosphere and food at The New World are great, and I love it here! It's always lively, colorful, and full of delicious restaurants in the neon food street at Shinsaibashi PARCO basement, making it a fun place to visit. The salmon was delicious, being baked in the oven with little oil, making it light and refreshing. The other lunch options looked tasty as well, and I am curious about their dinner menu too. However, I was disappointed that they did not seem to acknowledge my online reservation, as there was no follow-up or communication about it.

Connected directly to Shinsaibashi Station, this place feels like a mix of everything, with a unique atmosphere that conveys multiple messages. Despite the chaotic surroundings, the dishes here are exceptionally delicious. The use of scents, herbs, and sansho pepper is exquisite, making the food mouth-watering even before taking a bite. The high level of skill and creativity at such affordable prices is impressive, but it also makes you wonder if they should charge more. A restaurant definitely worth visiting again.

I was watching Chef Toriba's YouTube channel - the deep-fried chicken wing tulip looked so delicious! The atmosphere is like a trendy neo-food stall. The shrimp shumai with the accompanying sake cup and broth is a comforting delight. The glass choice by the staff is impressive! The shrimp shumai is plump and juicy, perfect with a sip of sake. The potato salad is a rich and creamy delight, perfect for nibbling on. The chicken wings have a crispy skin and juicy meat, with a hint of sansho pepper for a touch of elegance. It's a great casual snack to enjoy with a drink. With a variety of menu options and a stand-up area, it's a restaurant where you'd want to keep coming back. A place where a famous chef brings happiness to you. Bon appétit!

A famous Michelin-starred restaurant from Tokyo, sio, has opened a sister store in the basement of Shinsaibashi PARCO. It seems like it was also featured in Pibuguruman. The creative izakaya menu was so appealing that I decided to give it a try. The appetizers included shrimp mayo dumplings with grilled eel, plum seasoned dish, deep-fried horse mackerel with tartar sauce, chicken wings with a hint of sansho pepper, and beef tendon rice bowl. The unique izakaya dishes were delicious and satisfying, making for a great dining experience. It's casual and enjoyable.

Heart of Osaka PARCO, a one-star Michelin chef-owned izakaya in the neon food street on the basement 2nd floor. While PARCO's neon food street is known for its affordable options, this izakaya offers lunch sets for just under 2,000 yen, making it slightly more expensive but worth it! The dishes were all creative and delicious, with a preference for wine and beer over sake. The cheese moromi and pickled radish were outstanding, and the potato salad with Tasmanian mustard was unique and tasty with a nice texture. Highly recommended!

I visited The New World in the Shinsaibashi Neon Food Street. The entire underground second floor is crowded. I ordered hojicha at the izakaya. The complimentary shumai was delicious. I also had the Moromi cheese for 390 yen and the liver pate with bread for 680 yen. The cheese was really rich in flavor. The bread was a bit lacking, but the liver pate was delicious. It had honey on top, which added a nice touch to the taste. I recommend it. Thank you for the meal.
