STAR BOY
It seems like a relatively new restaurant that I came across on UberEATS recently, so I decided to check it out. It's located right on Heiwa Street, so the location is quite good. It's on the second floor, and there is a smoking area outside the entrance, which is convenient for smokers. This was my first visit, and I ordered the Hamazaki set meal for 1280 yen, which includes shrimp, pork fillet, fish, squid, and 4 types of vegetables. I'm not a fan of the system where you have to pay upfront, but you can add more items later verbally. The interior of the restaurant has a somewhat luxurious feel and seems suitable for dates. The customers were mostly female groups and couples, and the staff seemed young overall. The lunch prices range from 980 to 2980 yen, so there is quite a variety in prices. The dinner prices seem to be on the higher side, so lunch might be a safer option. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable. The rice in the basic set meal was cooked well with individual grains, and you can ask for refills. The miso soup was elegant, and the pickles were high-quality pickled Chinese cabbage, which was not to my taste but served as a good palate cleanser. The tempura dipping sauce was unexpectedly thick and strong in flavor, which could be good for those who like intense flavors. The grated daikon radish had a delicate texture and was well-prepared. The selection of salts was excellent, and it made me want more options for flavor variations. The shrimp tempura was the highlight, with a crispy and juicy texture, and it set a high standard for the rest of the meal. The vegetables and other ingredients were fried differently, which I appreciated. The pork fillet, squid, eggplant, and pumpkin tempura were all delicious in their own ways. I particularly enjoyed the thick-cut eggplant tempura, which was cooked just right to highlight the vegetable's flavor. The squid tempura had a unique texture due to the way it was cut, and the pumpkin tempura was crispy and light. I regret not trying the sea bream rice (+550 yen), and I look forward to trying the jumbo shrimp and sea bream rice next time. Overall, I could sense the restaurant's dedication to quality, and I have a feeling that it will attract more fans in the future.
