I bought an appetizer at Ishion but felt like I needed some fried food as well, so I saw that they were selling croquettes. However, they were a bit strange so I decided to buy a normal croquette from the nearby Kobe Croquette shop. I took it home and it was delicious as usual. Thank you for the meal.

I purchased a takeout from "Kobe Croquette" located in Takashimaya in Osaka. It is a shop under the Rock Field group. The staff at the department store were very friendly. Today's purchase was a simple potato croquette for ¥119 (tax included). It is made with baron potatoes and onions, emphasizing the natural flavors of the ingredients. It has a simple taste that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It worked well for breakfast, croquette sandwiches, and bento boxes. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again!

I remember this day I wanted to eat tonkatsu for lunch so I decided to have katsukare. But it turned out to be minced katsu curry that day. Then in the evening, while walking through the basement of Takashimaya, I saw this katsuretsuju with a half-price sticker on it before anything else. Even though I had a hearty lunch already and it wasn't tonkatsu again, before I knew it, my hand had grabbed this bento box. Black Wagyu katsuretsuju ♪ But I had forgotten! It said next to it that it was a soft stacked katsu full of umami. It was indeed soft, but on that day, I was in the mood for a thick tonkatsu rather than a milfeuille katsu. It was a day full of fried food, yet it ended without a sense of accomplishment.

There was a shop in the Depachika of Takashimaya in Namba. I rushed to the Depachika just before closing time! There were a few shops with everything already sold out, but generally there were signs of discounts and price reductions, with staff and customers bustling and making a lot of noise! There were people lurking like cheetahs waiting for the moment when discount stickers were put on, and others buying up discounted items one after another. However, upon closer calculation, it turns out that unless you buy 3 packs or more, there are shops where there is hardly any discount? Or maybe the prices weren't that high to begin with, so the discounts weren't as expected. There are various shops where discounts are not that great to look forward to at this time. Among them, this shop seems to be one that offers big discounts. Another shop that impresses with its straightforward discounts is Ten to Mi, a tempura shop. Although I didn't really feel like eating, I ended up buying minced cutlet and bacon-wrapped asparagus fry. When I tried them as they were, they were delicious even when cold. Probably they are made to be delicious even when cold or reheated. Just like how sushi eaten at a restaurant is different from sushi made at home, there's something special about getting fried food from a shop that specializes in it. So, if I happen to pass by this shop again, I would like to buy minced cutlet again. Hopefully at a discount♡

I had cream croquettes made with real snow crab and chicken charcoal-grilled potato croquettes. The cream croquettes were delicious, especially with the tomato sauce. Although I couldn't see any crab meat, I could still taste the flavor. The chicken charcoal-grilled croquettes were surprisingly charcoal-grilled, almost making it hard to tell if I was eating croquettes or grilled chicken. They were tasty, but I didn't feel like there was a synergistic effect between the two. It felt more like eating two separate delicious things together in my mouth. It was good though. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo, so I only have the flyer that came with the food.

I was planning to buy croquettes at Takashimaya, but then I stumbled upon a charming croquette shop called "Kobe Croquette" with a beckoning cat as its trademark. The pork cutlet looked so delicious that I ended up buying 5 pieces for 184 yen each. It's made with a simple cut of pork with little fat, and it's very tender. I heated it up in the toaster oven and enjoyed it with tonkatsu sauce. The breading was crispy and the cutlet was juicy. The next day, I added a little salt and put it in my bento box, and it was still delicious. Thank you for the meal! [Side note] Some branches of the croquette specialty shop "Kobe Croquette" are selling a new product called "Ice Croquette" from July 21st to September 28th. The price is 216 yen (tax included). This product is an ice cream wrapped in breadcrumbs to look like a croquette. The ice cream is made with milk, vanilla beans, and topped with caramel sauce. It's quite innovative, isn't it? I wonder what it tastes like! Since it's ice cream, you have to eat it right away and can't take it home.

I bought dinner at Kobe Croquette on a holiday in October 2014. I bought it before 4 pm. "Beef Croquette" 162 yen (tax included) 191kcal The crispy coating has a good texture. The filling has a strong beef flavor, and the potatoes are fluffy. "Creamy Cheese Chicken Cutlet" 205 yen (tax included) 254kcal There is cheese inside, so when heated in a toaster oven, it becomes creamy. The crispy dough doesn't have much juiciness, but it contains chicken breast? Today's satisfaction level: ◯1 Beef Croquette ◯2 Creamy Cheese Chicken Cutlet Thank you for the meal.

When I went to Namba, I visited a shop that sells Kobe croquettes. I really like them because they are delicious, although a bit expensive. The Kobe potato croquette was priced at 137 yen (136 yen) each. The size is slightly larger than usual, I think. When I tried it, the Kobe croquette did not disappoint. The balance between the softness of the potato and its sweetness is just right and very enjoyable. The only downside is that since it's a deli shop, they can't fry it on the spot, so you don't get that crispy texture on the outside, which is a bit disappointing.

I stopped by Takashimaya around 7:30, which is also known as the "Happy Hour" at the department store. I was looking for something light to eat from the traditional Japanese sweets section to the deli section. After searching around, I stumbled upon the Kobe croquette on sale for 30% off. Among the usual items like fried chicken and croquettes, I found a shining "rice croquette". Originally priced at 295 yen, it was now 205 yen after the discount. I decided to splurge and bought it. Although it wasn't freshly fried, the crispy texture of the croquette was still there. The rice inside had a Japanese-style color, which was unexpected as I had imagined a croquette with Western-style rice like ketchup rice. It turned out to be flavored like Oita's specialty "torimeshi", a seasoned rice dish. The flavor was just right, not too strong, and I could easily eat two or three bowls of it. I divided it into three portions and finished it in three bites. It was a surprising taste encounter, and this is why I can't stop exploring department stores.

Actually, I didn't know about Kobe croquettes until now (even though I'm from Kobe). It may not be very relevant, but I received Kobe croquettes as a souvenir from my wife's friend. The Kobe croquettes are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, and they come in a cute box with a print of a beckoning cat and "20th Anniversary" on it. The colorful design on the box made me happy just looking at it. There are various types available, but the ones I received were two each of shrimp and scallop cutlet, real snow crab cream croquette, and potato croquette. The first one I tried was the "shrimp and scallop cutlet." I was surprised when I took a bite as the texture and flavor of the scallop spread in my mouth. When I checked the cross-section, it seemed like the scallop was whole inside. I could also see small shrimp. Drizzling the tartar sauce provided enhanced the flavor even more, making it a cutlet packed with shrimp and scallop. The tartar sauce was not too strong in taste, complementing the cutlet's deliciousness. The crab cream croquette also had a rich crab flavor filling the mouth. The potato croquette had the natural sweetness of potatoes. I hesitated to write a review of something I received as a gift, but it was so delicious that I couldn't help but write about it. I plan to buy some myself next time I visit Osaka.

When I went to Takashimaya, I usually bought fried food at Avance because of the skillful customer service, but this time I bought a set of sale items at the neighboring Kobe Croquette. It included cream croquette with hair crab, shrimp and scallop cutlet, and potato croquette, 2 pieces each for 1,100 yen. I also added a minced cutlet for 210 yen! This is the shrimp and scallop cutlet. Amazing - there are so many ingredients inside! Even the potato croquette tasted completely different from regular ones and was delicious. You will receive a list of heating instructions for each item. I could feel their enthusiasm to make sure you enjoy the food, which left a good impression. I might end up buying Kobe Croquette whenever I see it from now on!

The shop is located on the B1 floor of Takashimaya in Namba (look for the beckoning cat sign). They specialize in croquettes and fried foods. The potatoes are sourced from Hanono town in Hokkaido. They are delicious even when cold. Some of their offerings include: Crab Cream Croquette - made with two types of crab, Ume and Ooba Chicken Skewers - perfect for summer, Edamame Cream Croquette - simple and tasty, Kobe Croquette Beef Croquette - a nice blend of potato sweetness and beef, and Hanono Hokkaido Potato Croquette - crispy on the outside and creamy inside. They also have branches in Kintetsu Abeno and Hankyu Umeda.

The store is part of the Lockfield series, so there is a sense of security. Recently, there have been suspicions about counterfeit ingredients, but Lockfield seems to have a high level of consciousness and commitment to ingredients and materials. At Kobe Croquette, I bought pumpkin croquette and cream croquette. The croquettes are priced around 200-300 yen, so they may seem a bit expensive. But if you consider the emphasis on ingredients in the department store's deli section, it's understandable. The coating is crispy! It's delicious!! Much tastier than croquettes from family restaurants!

The crispy coating, the sweetness of the potatoes, and most importantly, even when reheated in the microwave at home, it remains crispy and not greasy. It's satisfying. As expected from a long-established croquette shop, the taste never disappoints. It's a great menu option to pick up when you're feeling a bit hungry. The beef croquette is a classic, but they also offer seasonal vegetable croquettes, minced meat cutlets, cheese-filled croquettes, and more. They even have croquette rice bowls available, and you can purchase a bento box for around 500 yen at the department store basement. This is a great deal considering most bento boxes in department store basements usually cost more than 500 yen. With their quality guaranteed, you can't go wrong with their food.

Kobe Croquette, located in the food section of Namba Takashimaya, is known for its croquettes and fried potatoes. However, my personal recommendation is their shrimp fry. The crispy texture is just right, making it irresistible. The tartar sauce that comes with it is also delicious.

I used a 2,000 yen Takashimaya gift certificate to buy snacks for home drinking! I got three different types of potato dumplings and a popular assortment of croquettes. The croquettes were used as toppings for curry the next day. The potato dumplings were quite filling with a chewy texture similar to mochi. They came in cheese, meat, and shrimp flavors. I think I like the cheese the best. They go well with alcohol. Thank you for the meal.

"I see, I've never seen this before elsewhere." On this day, I purchased some unique fried snacks to go with my drinks. - Plenty of roast beef croquette Croquettes with beef filling are commonly seen, but this time I tried one made with roast beef instead of regular minced beef. However, the roast beef inside was almost the same size as minced beef, so honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between roast beef and regular minced beef when eating it. But I could taste that the meat flavor was stronger compared to the usual beef-filled croquettes. It was like a cross between a croquette and a minced cutlet. - Okinawa island tofu croquette A croquette made with the familiar firm tofu from Okinawa called "island tofu." It was introduced as "Champloo-style," but it didn't have the typical ingredients like bitter melon or spam. However, with bonito flakes on top, it gave more of a Japanese-style impression rather than Okinawan. It was light yet had a strong tofu flavor, so those who like a light taste will enjoy it. By the way, I think soy sauce would be a better match than a thick sauce. - Croquette with real snow crab and shiso A dish made by combining crab meat with shiso, bamboo shoots, and arrowhead and frying them. The umami of the crab was enhanced by the aroma of shiso and the crunchy texture of bamboo shoots and arrowhead. It had a stronger Japanese taste compared to crab cream croquettes, and it might go well not only with beer but also with sake. For those who are interested in trying different croquettes or fried foods once in a while, please feel free to use this as a reference.

There are various types of fried foods, with croquettes being the main focus. It gets crowded in the evening. On this day, I used a 2000 yen coupon at Takashimaya to buy food for drinking at home. I got a salad from a different store and the main dish from here (laughs). When I got home, we raised a toast!! We enjoyed dishes like crab cream croquettes, asparagus croquettes, and plum and shiso chicken spring rolls. They were quite filling. The croquettes were a bit on the pricey side, but considering the ingredients, maybe the price was justified? We enjoyed them with drinks (laughs). Thank you for the meal!
