【Location】About 7-8 minutes walk from Kushida Shrine【Date and Time】Around 19:30 on a weekday【Reservation】Not available【Payment method】Credit card【Items purchased】◆Croissant (Plain)◆Croissant (Maple)【Comments】I happened to have some errands in Nakasu Kawabata, so I decided to buy croissants from "Mikazukiya," which also has stores in Fukuoka Airport. The interior of the store had a calming Japanese atmosphere, with croissants designed like family crests on the curtain and elaborate decorations. While takeout was the main focus, you could also eat inside the store. They had a wide variety of croissants, and the wrapping paper resembling washi paper was lovely. In addition to croissants, they also sold sandwiches, soft-serve ice cream, and rusk that seemed like good souvenirs.【Food review】[Croissant (Plain)] This was the most popular item, and it didn't have a crispy texture on the surface because I didn't warm it in the oven. However, the inside was moist and had a strong buttery flavor, which was delicious. [Croissant (Maple)] Similar to the plain croissant but with maple syrup drizzled on top, the not-too-sweet maple flavor paired well with the croissant dough and was tasty. I would like to try other varieties next time! Thank you for the meal~(*^▽^*)

A bakery near Nakasu Kawabata, on the west side of Haruyoshi Bridge. It's a famous croissant bakery in Fukuoka with many branches. You can enjoy croissant sandwiches and drinks in their clean and stylish store (a bit pricey, though). I bought a Maple Croissant for 258 yen including tax. It was a large, crispy croissant with a sweet maple syrup flavor. They offer a variety of flavors. The individually wrapped packaging makes it convenient for souvenirs.

You can enjoy croissant sandwiches and sandwiches at this famous croissant bakery cafe. When I went around noon on Sunday, there were a few customers waiting in line because the interior of the shop is small. I ordered a shrimp and egg croissant sandwich (620 yen) and a cafe mocha. The croissant was crispy, the egg paste was smooth, the shrimp was plump, and the lettuce was crunchy, providing a variety of textures. The cafe has only about 6 seats for dining in, but since many people come to buy for takeout, it seems like you can usually find a seat. One croissant sandwich may not be enough for lunch, so it's recommended to either have two sandwiches or eat dessert elsewhere!

A handmade croissant shop in Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, using natural yeast. The croissants are designed like family crests, with a traditional Japanese storefront and packaging resembling washi paper. It's a charming croissant shop popular for souvenirs. You can take away croissant sandwiches or bread sandwiches, and also dine in the store. Croissants are priced around 250 yen each.

I arrived too early for a rock concert at a nearby live house, so I decided to stop by this shop. I later found out that this place is famous for their croissant sandwiches, but I was more interested in cooling off with some soft serve ice cream. There was a small seating area available, so I ordered the "Mikazukiya Special Royal Chocolate for 350 yen" in a cup. It was just as delicious as the Belgian chocolate soft serve from a certain convenience store. The location may make it a bit pricey, but if you take into account the all-you-can-taste various croissant flavors, it actually offers great value for money. I plan to try their croissant sandwiches next time.

I purchased these pastries because they can last for 3 days at room temperature, which was perfect for my trip. I followed the reheating instructions and toasted them for 2-3 minutes before eating. Matcha: The dough was filled with plenty of matcha, white chocolate, and was sweet and dense. Azuki: The buttery saltiness paired well with the red bean paste, and it was delicious. The amount of red bean paste was just right and not too overwhelming. Kinako: There was plenty of kinako on the outside and inside, not too sweet, and very tasty. Plain: The buttery flavor was simple and delicious, and plain was still the best!

Popular croissant specialty store originating from Kitakyushu. They have several branches, and the new store on the first floor of a building near Haruyoshi Bridge is one of them. Fun fact, the bridge underwent renovation work and the new "bridge nameplate" completed in April was calligraphed by Tamori, a Fukuoka native. They also sell croissants here. The croissants are neatly packaged, making them perfect as souvenirs. I found this place while passing by and decided to have it for brunch. They have a small seating area for dine-in. I ordered a Ham and Cheese Croissant (400 yen) and an Iced Coffee (280 yen), which came to a total of 680 yen but with a set discount, it was 642 yen. The Ham and Cheese Croissant was delicious, filled with ham, cheese, lettuce, and chopped onions. The croissant itself was tasty, and the filling added to the flavor. Surprisingly delicious. The Iced Coffee was a bit weak. I enjoyed a leisurely break watching people pass by on the street.

This was also a shop I had bookmarked before going! The croissant here was delicious when I bought it 8 years ago! When I was researching before this trip, I found out they have a sandwich shop too! There were so many options, it was hard to choose! The crispy croissant with shrimp was amazing! It was so good! I was so full! The cafe latte was also surprisingly large! The plates were colorful and cute! There are not many seats, so takeout might be a good idea! I want to go back again!

I noticed a bright shop while passing by, and upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a croissant shop commonly found in Hakata. They offered a variety of croissant sandwiches for cafe use, but since I was planning to eat it the next day, I decided to buy a matcha croissant this time. Although the price was a bit high for the size, each croissant was neatly packaged and the shop had a slightly luxurious feel to it. The combination of matcha and white chocolate was delicious as expected. I devoured it in no time.

After having a meal at "Kanotsuta Main Store," I took a walk along the Nakagawa River towards the Kokutai Road, where I noticed that many shops were closed due to the season. Feeling a bit lonely, I saw the bright lights of "Mikazukiya Haruyoshi Store," which had opened a while ago on the first floor of a building along the Kokutai Road, north of Tamaya. I was drawn in and found that they were selling various croissants and offering croissant sandwiches for dine-in as well. Even though I had just eaten dinner, I decided to buy some pastries for breakfast. I got a cinnamon croissant for myself, a plain one for my wife, and a sugar-coated mini croissant for tea time, all to take home. The mini croissant was a perfect snack with tea. However, I couldn't help but notice that the prices at "Mikazukiya" were a bit higher now compared to before, as the competition in the croissant market seemed to have pushed prices up. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at around 11:30 and since no one was dining in, I decided to eat in. I was tempted by the toast sandwich, but I went with the croissant sandwich instead. I chose the No.2 option with salmon, avocado, and cream cheese. I also ordered a hot cafe latte. By ordering food and a drink together, I got a 50 yen discount, so it came to around 900 yen. I had taken out from the Sangetsuya croissants before, but this was my first time at the Haruyoshi branch and my first time dining in. They even had latte art, which was nice. The croissant was delicious as always - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I love salmon, avocado, and cream cheese, so this croissant was perfect for me. I could eat as many as I wanted. Many customers were coming in for takeout. They have a wide variety of dine-in and takeout options, making it easy for solo diners and takeout customers.

Near the hotel I stayed at in Hakata, there was a bakery that caught my eye. I thought it was a croissant shop, but when I peeked inside the glass storefront, I saw a picture of soft serve ice cream. I was in the mood for something cold, so I decided to go inside. They had three flavors of soft serve: vanilla, chocolate, and a mix of both. You could choose between a cone or a cup. I ordered the mix in a cup. The chocolate and vanilla were both rich and delicious! It was the best soft serve I had in a long time! The chocolate flavor was as rich as GODIVA chocolate! There is seating inside the shop and benches outside.

The most popular croissant sandwich is the ham and cheese for 400 yen, and the iced coffee for 280 yen. With a set discount of 50 yen, I paid a total of 630 yen. The sandwich comes in a stylish box with a cooling pack, and the taste is delicious with a spicy mayonnaise kick. The croissant is made with natural yeast, and even though I'm not a fan of bread, I didn't experience any heartburn. The iced coffee is from CAFE FADIE.

I couldn't forget the croissant I bought at Hakata Station the other day, so when my husband said he was going to Fukuoka on a business trip, I requested it again. This shop opened this year and offers a variety of croissant sandwiches, so my husband was worried about which one to choose. But there was no need to worry! I had already requested to buy croissants to take home. I tried the Maple for the first time, and it had a moderate sweetness with custard inside, giving it an elegant taste. It's perfect for a 3 o'clock snack. The Maple is always my favorite, and I always make sure to eat it. By baking it for 2 minutes and letting it steam for 3 minutes, it becomes crispy and fragrant, enhancing the sweetness of the maple. I will definitely order it again.

That croissant is also available in Haruyoshi. "Mikazukiya" Haruyoshi, along the Kokutai Road, next to the bridge under construction leading to Nakasu, seems to have completed the building, but is struggling to find tenants. Barely on the 1st floor, there is "Mikazukiya" shop. A croissant specialty store with various types of individually wrapped croissants, slightly on the expensive side, lined up. Plain, matcha, matcha with surprisingly sweet cream filling. If customers return to Nakasu, there may be demand for souvenirs or purchases on the way home after drinking, but first, I hope that the upper floors of this building will be filled. ● Shop Information Mikazukiya 092-406-5525 3-3-9 Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City Business hours 10:00-22:00

This time we visited Mikkazukiya Haruyoshi store located at 3-3-9 Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. Amid the progress of the reconstruction of Haruyoshi Bridge and the unveiling of a new building, it seems that the current bridge will be turned into a park in the future, possibly becoming a new spot for food stalls as well!! Among all this, Mikkazukiya was one of the first to open. While takeout sales seem to be the main focus, there is also a small seating area available. We ordered the classic egg salad for 420 yen, thick-cut bacon for 540 yen, and a Kyushu brand pork sandwich with mustard mayonnaise for 450 yen. There was also a 50 yen discount for ordering a drink. In addition to croissants, they also offer a variety of rusk. After waiting for about 10 minutes, we were served freshly made items, neatly packaged and perfect for souvenirs!! The croissant even had a cooling pack at the bottom, which seems very convenient. The pork cutlet was tender, and the mustard mayonnaise added a nice spicy accent. It was a delicious meal.

Three days ago, I visited the newly opened Sangetsuya Haruyoshi store located along the Kokutai Road in Fukuoka City, Chuo Ward. Sangetsuya has various stores throughout Fukuoka Prefecture, and I was excited to see a new one in Haruyoshi. The freshly opened store has a compact and clean interior. I tried the Ham and Cheese Croissant for 400 yen (tax included), which was perfect for eating in the car. I also purchased Plain, Matcha, Cocoa, Kinako, and Azuki croissants for home and office. The croissant sandwich with red onions, green leaf lettuce, ham, and cheese was healthy and filling. It was a delightful breakfast treat. I'm looking forward to trying the Matcha croissant next, as I love Matcha sweets. They also have seasonal products, so if there's a flavor you're interested in, I recommend getting it soon. Thank you for the delicious meal!

This is a review of the Crescent Moon Shop, which opened at the base of the Haruyoshi Bridge. On this day, I bought some croissants to take home. The shop not only sells croissants but also has a café where you can enjoy a break with a drink while eating croissants. I chose four types of croissants to take home for breakfast. The plain croissant costs 220 yen and is a popular item with a crispy outside and soft inside. The apple croissant costs 246 yen and is a larger croissant with a moderate texture filled with apple slices. The matcha croissant costs 267 yen and is a seasonal limited edition croissant with high-quality Yame tea in the dough and white chocolate inside. The cocoa croissant costs 267 yen and is a sweet croissant with cocoa in the dough and white chocolate inside. The shop is located at the corner of Haruyoshi Bridge. Located along the Kokutai Road, at the base of the Haruyoshi Bridge over the Naka River, is a bakery that uses natural yeast from Wakamatsu as its main ingredient for croissants. The shop opened on June 16, 2021. Just across the diagonal road is Hotel Il Palazzo. Upon entering the shop, you will see a wide variety of croissants on display, such as plain, maple, mugwort, cheese, sesame, and apple, among others. They also offer various croissant sandwiches. The plain croissant costs 204 yen (tax included) and is recommended to be toasted for a crispy outer layer and a soft inside. The cinnamon croissant, priced at 218 yen (tax included), has cinnamon mixed into the dough and is topped with maple syrup. It has a lovely aroma when opened. They also sell gift boxes, making it a great option for souvenirs or gifts. They provide free plastic bags, which is convenient. The soft-serve ice cream also looked delicious. Thank you for the meal.
