Visited 'Gokuraku Udon TKU AWAZA' in Nishi Ward, Osaka City. It is located just a short walk north from Awaza Station on the Osaka Metro Chitose Line, exit 10. I visited by car and found a convenient coin parking for 100 yen per 60 minutes starting from 6 pm. The restaurant has 10 counter seats and 3 tables for 4 people each. There is also a mysterious solo seat next to the entrance, which has a unique atmosphere. Ordered the 'Chicken Tamabukkake' for 950 yen, with a free extra serving of noodles. The thick and chewy udon noodles had a strong and satisfying texture typical of TKU. The crispy and fragrant chicken tempura paired well with the juicy meat, providing a delicious contrast. The separate onsen egg had a rich and creamy flavor, almost like a dense custard. The small amount of seaweed added on top was so tasty that I regretted not ordering extra. They also offer small dishes, tempura, and evening menu options, so you can enjoy a light meal or drink before finishing with udon. Overall, it was a delightful meal.

The weather was sunny and still hot at 31 degrees, but I felt like eating curry udon, so I went to Gokuraku Udon TKU AWAZA. I arrived at 11:55 AM and was seated at the counter without having to wait. I ordered the usual chicken tempura curry udon with medium size for 1050 yen. The food was served in less than 10 minutes. As always, it was delicious and satisfying. I usually finish by diving the remaining rice into the curry broth, and today was no exception. I finished all the broth as usual. Thank you for the meal.

It was good that Obon was over and the restaurant wasn't crowded during lunchtime. I ordered the summer No.1 menu, which was chicken tempura on top of udon noodles and Okra tempura from Yatsushiro. The udon noodles were thick and satisfying, making it a bit difficult to chew. The chicken tempura had a rich flavor and was delicious. I'm curious about the tempura rice ball, so I would like to visit again.

I went to the original chicken egg curry udon restaurant, Gokuraku Udon TKU, and ordered the chicken egg curry udon for 1010 yen. I was also interested in the chicken tempura, but decided to pass on it this time. I chose the regular size udon, which was 400g. The udon noodles were thick and chewy with a good texture. The curry broth had a spicy kick to it, but the addition of the chicken egg made it creamy and delicious. They also have a summer limited cold chicken egg curry udon, so I will definitely be revisiting soon. It was delicious. 7.1

Today, despite the hot weather reaching 35 degrees, I went to Gokuraku Udon. I arrived at 11:55 and was seated at the counter right away. I ordered the medium-sized Chicken Tempura Curry Udon for 1050 yen. The dish was served around 12:15. Compared to the Chicken Tempura Curry Udon at Abuku nearby, I preferred the chicken tempura and broth here. I finished the whole bowl in about 20 minutes. My stomach was full and I was sweating a lot. Thank you for the meal.

At Gokuraku Udon TKU, I had the cold Takedori Tempura Chicken and Egg Curry Udon. Hmm... There's a lot of information! Even the regular size has a substantial amount, with 400g of noodles after boiling. The bowl is packed with egg and has quite an impact, leaving me with a full stomach.

TKU-san opened a new restaurant in Awa-za, so I went to check it out. The shop is about a 5-minute walk from the station, with a monochrome exterior. Inside, there are three counter seats and table seats, with a bright and clean interior featuring white walls and wood accents. The BGM playing was J-reggae. The menu includes curry dishes, TKU dishes, and seasonal specials, as well as original items like cold curry udon and hiyakake. The TKU udon I ordered was served in a large bowl with thick noodles that had a chewy and firm texture. The broth was on the stronger side, so be careful not to overpour. Mixing in the red egg, bonito flakes, seaweed, green onions, and lemon added extra flavor. The three large pieces of chicken tempura made with thigh meat were crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The restaurant is still new, so it wasn't very crowded, but I'm sure it will become more popular in the future. The udon was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Office clerk T went to the popular udon restaurant TKU Main Store near JR Tamatsukuri Station, but had to give up because there was a line of 6 groups waiting. So, she ended up going to a nearby gourmet burger restaurant, which turned out to be good. After some casual conversation, she found out that a new branch of TKU had opened, which she had forgotten about! This branch is the only one, as the one in Lucua has closed. On a Sunday at noon, she decided to try her luck and go to the new branch, and luckily there was only one group in line. She ordered the MK Tsukemen, medium size for 1,120 yen (tax included). The noodles were on the heavier side with a slightly rough surface, typical of rural udon. The dipping soup had a strong ginger flavor and the pork used was delicious. After finishing the 500g portion, she was satisfied and full. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I visited my favorite restaurant "Gokuraku Udon" in Awaza for lunch after a check-up. I was so hungry... I wanted to eat a lot! As always, the curry udon here is recommended!! The ladies curry udon comes with chicken tempura, half bamboo tempura, and a soft-boiled egg. The curry is hot and the noodles are thick and strong. Mixing it all together is irresistible! The crispy bamboo tempura is delicious! Mixing the curry and egg with rice is a blissful taste experience. The taste and portion size left me completely satisfied. Thank you for the meal! (๑>◡<๑)

Today, I went to Awaza for work. After finishing my work, it was past 2 pm and I was starving. I remembered that a popular udon restaurant had opened in Awaza, so I decided to visit TKU. I arrived at around 2:15 pm and there was one other customer already there. A female staff member welcomed me and showed me to my table. I checked the menu and noticed they had a summer limited menu item called "Cold Chicken Tempura and Egg Curry Udon". It was a cold version of their famous Chicken Tempura and Egg Curry Udon. I decided to order it. I called the staff and ordered "Cold Chicken Tempura and Egg Curry Udon, medium size, and a small bowl of rice, please." The restaurant offers up to a medium size of 500g without extra charge. The Chicken Tempura and Egg Curry Udon series also allows for unlimited refills of small rice, making it a carb fest. After waiting for about 3 minutes, my order arrived. It was the Cold Chicken Tempura and Egg Curry Udon in medium size. The bowl was overflowing with the egg curry soup. I tried the cold egg curry soup first. It was thick and creamy, with a refreshing coldness. The combination of the smooth egg, slightly spicy curry, and dashi flavor was incredibly delicious. It was a taste I had never experienced before. Despite its slightly unappealing appearance, it was extremely tasty. The soup also had pieces of meat in it. The udon noodles were slightly thick and had a satisfying chewy texture. They were coated in the thick egg curry soup, creating a sensual flavor. The chicken tempura was large and crunchy, with juicy chicken inside. It had a wild taste, but it complemented the dish well. After finishing my meal, I was completely full. The udon was unique but delicious. TKU lived up to its reputation! Thank you for the meal!

While waiting for the udon to be served for dinner, I passed the time with a highball and potato salad. I made two highballs myself. After 15 minutes, the main star, the udon, was brought to me. I had the Niku Kamatama Udon for 1260 yen. I started by adding soy sauce and mixing well before eating. Midway through, I poured the broth from the pot to change the flavor. Even the small size was enough to fill me up. "Thank you for the meal."

This is my second visit. A friend who came with me last time really liked the udon here, so we came back at their request. Last time, we had the chicken egg curry udon, but this time we ordered the ladies set curry udon. They cooked it without any green onions, so if you're not a fan of green onions like me, you can ask the staff to leave them out. It came with bamboo shoot tempura, chicken tempura, a soft-boiled egg, and a small portion of rice, all for less than 1000 yen! Delicious, cheap, and fantastic. We visited around 1 pm on Sunday and the restaurant was packed. It's a thriving place with customers coming in one after another.

Today, even though it was hot, I wanted to eat curry udon so I visited "Gokuraku Udon TKU AWAZA". I had been wanting to go to TKU, so I am really grateful that they opened a store in Awaza. I enjoyed delicious curry udon while sweating profusely. My stomach is full and I am happy. Thank you for the meal.

A popular udon restaurant specializing in curry udon has opened in the Awaza area of Osaka. The curry is quite spicy, with a flavorful egg topping and chewy noodles. The bowl is packed full to the brim, you can't even fit a coin in there. It feels like the noodles never decrease no matter how much you eat. But don't worry, they also offer smaller sizes for those with smaller appetites. For those who want to eat heartily, you can even enjoy a serving of rice at the end. Thank you for the meal!

I found a udon restaurant that is open on Sundays, which is convenient. I decided to try their Chicken Tempura Curry Udon for 1050 yen. They offer two sizes, regular (400g) and large (500g). They gave me a paper apron to wear while eating. The noodles were thick, the curry was slightly spicy, and although it was a bit pricey for lunch, considering the portion size, it felt like a good deal. The chicken tempura was also large. Overall, today's lunch was delicious. Thank you ⭐︎

Awa-za is located along the Shin-Naniwa Street. The famous udon restaurant group, Gokuraku Udon, has opened a branch in Awa-za called Gokuraku Udon TKU, which is known as one of the top 100 udon restaurants in Japan. The shop has a small layout with 8 counter seats and 4 tables for 4 people each. The menu features dishes with generous portions. I tried the Tori-Tama Bukkake Udon (930 yen), which comes with a free upgrade to a larger portion. The noodles are made from 100% domestic wheat flour and are described as having a "fresh squid-like texture." When the dish arrived in about 5 minutes, I was surprised to find that the egg was not tempura but a soft-boiled egg. I poured the dipping sauce over the thick noodles and took a bite. The noodles were indeed thick and had an incredible chewy texture. It was more elastic than firm, which was quite unique. The elderly lady next to me seemed to struggle with the chewiness and even choked a few times. I wondered if it would be too difficult for children to eat. One minor issue was that the oil used for the tempura seemed a bit dirty, which affected the taste. If you prefer traditional firm udon, I recommend the nearby restaurant "Abuku." Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

A little while ago... on my way home from work, I discovered that TKU was near Awaza. Finally, I had the chance to visit tonight. I parked at the nearest coin parking and the nearest station is Awaza subway station. The place had a few table seats and was almost full. I sat at the counter and ordered the MK Curry Tsukemen in small size. The noodles were thick and long, with a chewy texture. Topped with Iberico pork, onions, green onions, and shredded chili peppers. After finishing the noodles, I added rice to the curry sauce. The curry was flavorful and the rice was satisfying. It's convenient that I don't have to go all the way to Tamatsukuri. Looking forward to trying their cold noodles in the summer. Bon appétit! (Visited for the first time on 05/12/2023)

I went to this restaurant after a friend recommended it to me and I had been curious about it for a while. First of all, I was surprised by the amount of food! Even the small portion was satisfying enough. I'm not sure if rice comes with all the udon dishes or just the curry udon, but the chicken egg curry udon that I ordered came with rice. The broth was delicious and the curry was tasty, so it paired well with the rice that came with it, making it enjoyable until the end.

Ladies curry udon. It comes with chicken tempura, chicken tempura, soft-boiled egg, and rice. It's a set that might make you think it's for ladies because of the portion. It was so filling that I ended up leaving some of the broth, but the curry udon was really delicious. I also like the curry udon from Mitsushima Manda, but TKU's curry udon is also delicious!

I heard that this place recently opened and was curious to try it out. When I visited around 7pm during Golden Week, it was relatively empty but quickly filled up with a few groups. I had the specialty Chicken Tempura and Egg Curry Udon, while my family had the Chicken Tempura Tartar Set with Egg Curry Udon and the Chicken Tempura Tartar Set with delicious Curry Udon. The Chicken Tempura was very tasty and the dishes were quite filling. The Egg Curry Udon started off mild but had a rich curry flavor at the bottom, making it even more delicious as you ate. We finished by adding rice and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The Chicken Tempura Tartar had a generous amount of tangy tartar sauce, which was refreshing after the spiciness of the curry. Overall, the portions were generous and we were very satisfied!

This place, Awa-za, known for its firm noodles, also had a shop open here. It was not crowded as it was at night. I wanted to try the chicken egg curry udon, but I heard it was very filling, so I decided to try the bamboo chicken egg udon instead. It was served surprisingly quickly, in about 10 minutes. The broth for the udon was light, and the noodles were firm as always! With such firm noodles, warm udon is definitely the way to go. The tempura was fried perfectly and delicious! The normal portion size was huge, so I think I could have gotten a smaller portion. Next time, I want to try the chicken egg curry.
