I don't come to Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture very often. The air is clean, but the town feels dark, making me feel gloomy as well. I saw a local TV reporter featuring a teppanyaki specialty restaurant in Asakura City, where they mentioned how delicious it was. I decided to visit right after the opening on Saturday. There were already three other customers, including a young male owner and a female staff member. The menu was similar to the popular Aozora Shokudo, offering beef, pork, and chicken. The recommended items were beef sagari and pork belly, but since I often eat those, I chose the regular beef kalbi for 700 yen and a rice set for 200 yen. The owner cooked the meat and cabbage in a small kitchen area with a wok, while I prepared the rice, miso soup, and pickles from the self-service corner. The food was served quickly, and I enjoyed the delicious teppanyaki beef with cabbage, spicy miso, and kabosu vinegar. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the unique spicy miso added a nice kick. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the miso soup with only wakame was simple but tasty. The portion size was good, but I felt that 100g of meat was a bit small for a male customer. I plan to try the pork belly next time to experience the true spicy miso. Overall, I was impressed by the food and service, and I look forward to returning for more delicious meals.

I visited a teppanyaki restaurant that opened around September. I ordered the beef sagari teppan. It came with a rice set for 900 yen. While feeling the heat from the teppan, I only had to wait for 3 minutes. Rice, soup, and pickles were self-service. The cabbage with salt and pepper seasoning was delicious. A great restaurant has opened in Magaki. Thank you for the meal!

Teppanyaki restaurants like Bikkotei are very popular for their style of rubbing cabbage with salt sauce, letting it sit, and then quickly stir-frying it with meat. Many other restaurants have imitated this style. I used to love it when I was younger, but some places had cabbage that was too salty, making it hard to finish without a lot of rice. When the water is removed from the cabbage, the sweetness disappears and the saltiness becomes stronger. This new restaurant had a sign saying "hand-cut," which intrigued me to visit. I ordered the beef sagari teppan set and my wife ordered the pork loin teppan set. Since the prices were low, I didn't have high expectations. We prepared our rice, soup, and pickles ourselves and waited for our dishes. The smell hit me right in the stomach. The teppan was served hot with a mountain of cabbage and chunks of meat. I took a bite of the cabbage and realized it wasn't salt sauce - it was salt and pepper! The cabbage was cooked perfectly, with a nice texture in between soft and crunchy. The meat was slightly overcooked but still tasty. The combination of red miso and garlic pepper was perfect. We didn't remember ordering extra-large portions, but they were huge! We quickly finished our rice and realized we needed more. The pork loin my wife had was tender and sweet, a great find. There are so many new, delicious restaurants opening in Asakura City. If I had one request, it would be to utilize the residual heat for the sagari to cook it just right. Less salt sauce and more salt and pepper was a great change. It was a delightful meal. Thank you.

In Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture, at the end of Bunka Kaikan Street, a new restaurant called "Kaen" has opened. I arrived just before closing time and was graciously allowed in to try their specialty, beef tongue teppanyaki. The restaurant offers a unique twist by using beef tongue instead of the usual pork, and the portion was generous. The meat was slightly tough but flavorful, especially when paired with their special citrus sauce made from locally grown citrus fruit. The dedication to providing a unique and delicious dining experience was evident, and I left feeling satisfied and happy. Thank you for the great meal.

I would like to apologize in advance for not having any photos of the products due to various reasons. It was not because I couldn't resist and ate them, but rather the work of my cohabitant. I am truly sorry for this. When I first visited around October last year, there were five types of teppanyaki dishes (excluding the portion size) and a few sides here and there. However, in the three times I used takeout afterwards, I noticed a dramatic increase in the menu items, but I did not post about it each time because I am not good at posting reviews for takeout... and I feel bad for the local shop. m(_ _)m This time, they didn't have the item I wanted (beef hormone, large portion for 1145 yen), so I was thinking of giving up, but I had something I really wanted to say... In a previous review, it was mentioned that "there is no garlic," but now you can choose whether you want garlic or not. You can also choose to add bean sprouts to the cabbage-only vegetables. And there are more seasoning options now, including "sweet and spicy miso." It's "sweet and spicy miso," not "spicy miso"! With the increase in main menu items, it has evolved into an ideal place for drinking at night. Well, sorry, they were actually open at night before... but with the expanded menu, it's definitely more convenient to use! Let's start with takeout first. Try using it. It's not as salty as other places. The inside of the store is a little hard to see, so it's hard to tell if it's open or not, but when they are open, they always have a clear sign saying "OPEN" on the curtain above the entrance. As for the taste... the hormone is fresh and the cabbage is delicious. I asked for garlic to be added, and the aroma and flavor of the sautéed garlic are fantastic! I tried the sweet and spicy miso, and adding a little spice gives it a great range from sweet to spicy. It's a great dish as a side or as a snack. My wife also enjoyed it as a side dish for dinner, saying "delicious, delicious" as she ate. I enjoyed it deliciously today as well. Thank you for the meal.
