I decided to have ramen on my way back from Uozumi Saketen in Yurimachi 2-1, Moji-ku, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, near Moji Port Station. However, the restaurant I intended to go to had a sign saying it was closed for a while, so I decided to try Seishun Shokudo, which I found on the way to Yuji Saketen. It seemed a bit cheaper, and according to my research on Tabelog, it seemed to be open all day. It was still before 3:30 pm, so I thought I'd give it a try. When I arrived at the restaurant, the mother of the shop was tidying up the banners as if preparing to close. I asked if they were closed already, and she said it was fine for me to come in. Inside, a man was having his meal. The weather was nice today, but a bit chilly, so I felt like having ramen. They also had nabeyaki udon on the menu, so I decided to try that. When I asked the mother if they could make nabeyaki udon, she replied that they couldn't make it like an udon shop. She was straightforward and simple. The nabeyaki udon was served in about 5 minutes. It was simple, just like an udon shop, as she had mentioned. For the price of a coin, it was more than enough. If it was around 700-800 yen, it might be different, but the egg, which is currently expensive, looked delicious as a fried egg. The nabeyaki udon was delicious. It's perfect for when it's chilly outside, and it's also great as a meal to end a drinking session. The shop may be simple with the mother running it, but on a regular day, it's just an ordinary lunch at an ordinary restaurant. I think this is good enough.
