It was a hot summer day, but when I came to Fukuoka, I felt like eating Mizutaki and made a same-day reservation. The specialty is Mizutaki, but the sesame kanpachi and mentaiko were also delicious, allowing me to enjoy a fulfilling Fukuoka gourmet experience. I have added another restaurant to my list of places to visit when I come to Fukuoka.

I visited "Mizutaki Tsumugi" in Tenjin, Hakata for the first time since last year's year-end party. It is a popular local restaurant that my colleagues at work like. The main dish is Mizutaki, but before that, we enjoyed delicious chicken dishes. We had chicken sashimi, charcoal-grilled chicken by parts, chicken wings, chicken breast cutlet, sesame mackerel, and spicy cod roe, all representing the Kyushu region. The texture and flavor of the chicken here is different from what you would find in Tokyo izakayas, with a simple seasoning of sesame and salt. The chicken wings were a complimentary dish from the restaurant and were crispy and delicious. The chicken breast cutlet was fluffy and not dry at all, also very tasty. I was so focused on the side dishes that I almost forgot about the Mizutaki. It was a great dinner with sweet potato shochu. I didn't pay for the meal, but I would estimate the price to be on the higher side. It's a restaurant where you can't judge just by the ratings. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

On March 4, 2023, Saturday, my husband and I went on a one-night Fukuoka trip after watching the match between Kashiwa Reysol and Avispa Fukuoka. We had made a reservation at this restaurant. The hot pot was served in small bowls for drinking the soup. It was delicious! The shochu was also great. The ponzu sauce was amazing. We were given green onions, green chili peppers, and spicy sauce. There was also salt and yuzu pepper on the table. The dishes were all rich in flavor and really tasty. The appetizer was unusually delicious. There was a dish that was incredibly crispy and tasty, although I can't remember its name. Everything was heavenly delicious. The sesame mackerel was so good, and the quail was also amazing. The porridge at the end was like a cherry on top. I was tempted to say, "Is this heaven?" When the staff asked where we came from, we just said, "There was no match."

The taste was very delicious. The sweet flavor of the chicken broth and ponzu sauce was just right, and even the finishing ochazuke was satisfyingly tasty. The staff's enthusiasm was also great, but it was disappointing to see a staff member not wearing a mask and speaking the loudest.

I stopped by after work. It was perfect because they are open late. However, it seems that you may need to make a reservation by phone in advance, as they may stop taking orders. Make sure to check before you go. The Mizutaki (chicken hot pot) was very Fukuoka-like!

It's a famous restaurant in Fukuoka known for its Mizutaki hot pot. If you want to make sure you get in, it's better to make a reservation. Needless to say, Mizutaki is delicious. The simple yet flavorful broth and satisfying chicken pieces are top-notch. And above all, the sesame mackerel is a must-try. It was served on a large plate, which was a new experience for me and quite impressive. It's rich and you can eat as much as you want. I wanted to scoop it up like in a tetchiri dish. If you ever go to Fukuoka, be sure to give it a try. The interior of the restaurant is also calm and lovely.

Visited for the first time with friends!! Opted for non-alcoholic drinks this day!! The restaurant was packed the whole time! I love sukiyaki so much, and it was incredibly delicious ⭐ The side menu is also extensive, but you must order the motsu stew! Personally, the heart and liver were exceptionally tasty! I will definitely go again!

On a certain day in July 2019, the third day of the trip to Hakata, the night with my senpai, we finally reached the last night. Today we enjoyed making mentaiko (spicy cod roe) at the Fukuya factory, where we had visited a year ago. It was a fun trip with my cheerful senpai in Hakata. My senpai seemed to have enjoyed various things in Hakata as well. Our theme song for the trip was B'z's "ZERO," and I will never forget my senpai's words, "I thought I was going to pass out, Gorokun (laughs)." Tonight, we were joined by a Hakata girl for dinner. It was raining heavily as we arrived at the restaurant called "Mizutaki Tsumugi." The atmosphere inside was chic and traditional Japanese. We ordered various dishes including the signature mizutaki (chicken hot pot), tataki cucumber, hormone (offal) karaage, grilled dumplings, etc. Everything was delicious, but the mizutaki shared with the Hakata beauties was the best. It was a short but enjoyable meal. After that, we went to a club and then a show pub, where my senpai seemed to have a great time. This 3-night, 4-day trip to Fukuoka with my senpai has come to an end. Due to the decreased mobility with two people compared to traveling alone, this trip had the lowest number of places we visited. However, the nights with my senpai were really fun. When I asked my senpai how much we spent in total, the astronomical number made us both laugh awkwardly. Despite spending a lot of money, my senpai said he wants to come back here again. It was a valuable experience, and I look forward to playing together again, senpai. Thank you for the treat!

I visited this restaurant during my business trip to Fukuoka. At first, it was about 20% full, but by the time I left, it was packed. The sashimi and chicken wings were delicious, but the hot pot was especially tasty. I ordered the broth separately, and it was delicious enough on its own. I enjoyed plenty of meatballs and vegetables. The champon noodles for the finale were also delicious. I debated buying champon noodles at the airport, but I had an early flight and work afterwards, so I had to give up on that idea. There were many small groups dining, and I would definitely like to visit again.

Before the hot pot, try the chicken tataki - it's amazing. Make sure to add the tsukune to the hot pot, and don't forget to buy some ponzu sauce to take home. I will definitely be coming back again.

I went on a regular night. I couldn't make a reservation online, so I tried calling as a last resort and it was okay. The inside of the restaurant was quite lively, with a cozy atmosphere that felt like a small izakaya, which I liked. However, on that day, it was quite noisy like a casual izakaya, so personally it was good, but depending on the purpose, it might be a bit much. The main dish, sukiyaki, had a rich flavor and was delicious. I hesitated between getting a course meal or ordering a la carte, but I decided on a la carte so I could try individual dishes. I added dishes like sesame amberjack and sweet potato tempura, which were all very delicious. We finished with a rice porridge, which was also tasty. However, the flavors were a bit strong, and I couldn't help but feel a bit greasy... I thought it might feel a bit heavy on some days.

I was so excited to try hot pot at a new restaurant that I forgot to take a picture. The sesame mackerel was delicious. The tempura looked tasty too. I want to go back to this restaurant.

I don't remember how long it had been, but I went to eat water hot pot. I couldn't find a water hot pot restaurant that was open late, so I chose this one. It was delicious.
