At the end of the year on December 30th, my family of three decided to go somewhere with a nice view, so we drove to Mt. Myoken. We took a walk at the summit and visited the shrine, and on our way back for lunch, we searched for a place to eat. It was cold, so we wanted to eat something like hot pot udon, and we found "Kametani" restaurant. The restaurant was located about 15 minutes from the mountaintop, right in front of the Nose Electric Railway Myoken-guchi Station, and there was a spacious parking lot available. The interior of the restaurant was small, with about 6-7 tables. When we looked at the menu, we found that their specialty was Shishinabe miso stewed udon, which was a bit pricey but we all decided to order it. After a while, a genuine iron pot bubbling over a fire was served, and it was impressive. The ingredients included wild boar meat, as well as napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, green onions, mizuna, wakame seaweed, fish cake, and grilled mochi, and the udon was hidden beneath the luxurious toppings. The wild boar meat matched perfectly with the miso flavor and was delicious. Personally, I was especially impressed by the large shiitake mushrooms that had a unique and delicious taste. We also ordered the wild boar fruit, which was also tasty. Surprisingly, I did not expect it to be this delicious, so we ended up buying pickles and souvenirs, and it felt like a mini day trip. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and the atmosphere was great. Thank you for the meal! (^^)
