Meat Moritaya Ishikiri Store @ Nakaishikiri-cho, Higashi Osaka City Blog⇒The everyday meal of an old man in Kawachi, sometimes sake. It is about a 14-minute walk from Ishikiri Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line or Shin-Ishikiri Station on the Kintetsu Keihanna Line to [Meat Moritaya Ishikiri Store]. When you receive a bonus or unexpected extra income, don't you want to treat yourself a little? In our house... well, when we want to eat sukiyaki or shabu-shabu with tender and delicious meat, we splurge a bit on good meat from a butcher shop... Our go-to butcher shop is Moritaya. They are a representative butcher shop in Higashi Osaka, with their main store in Hyotan-yama, as well as branches in Gaku and Sumida, and even in Namba. They handle top-quality Japanese beef, not only in the form of fresh meat but also have a restaurant where you can eat sukiyaki and yakiniku. They also sell freshly fried side dishes such as croquettes and minced cutlets, as well as bento boxes including yakiniku, hamburgers, and steaks. Even the cheapest croquette bento costs 600 yen. The special steak bento costs 1,700 yen, a bit more expensive compared to regular bento shops. However, the quality is worth the price, and it is a popular shop known by everyone in the area. On a weekday, around 11:30 on Wednesday, there were a few other customers, so it took about 20 minutes from ordering to completion. But this Ishikiri store has chairs in the adjoining waiting room, so the waiting time is not a problem. ◆Yakiniku Bento 850 yen There was a special yakiniku bento made with domestic beef, but we opted for the 350 yen cheaper regular yakiniku bento... Let's eat. Plenty of thick yakiniku. The cut used is kalbi. It has a chewy texture with just the right amount of tenderness. It gives a satisfying feeling of eating meat. The meat juice overflows, and there is no hint of any unpleasant smell. Really, Moritaya's meat is delicious. The side dishes such as simmered hijiki, red and white namasu, and kimchi add color. For those of us from the Showa generation, the red wiener sausage is exciting...(^▽^;) I'm not good at eating white rice, so I rely on "Yukari" to take care of it... ◆Ebi Burger Bento 1,050 yen My partner's favorite bento with shrimp fry and hamburger. Except for the pickled daikon instead of kimchi, the side dishes are almost the same as the yakiniku bento. Due to the pandemic, I didn't taste it, but my partner was happy that the shrimp fry and hamburger were delicious. The amount of rice is substantial, so even I, a man, feel full. Really, in terms of taste, quality, and quantity, this bento is satisfying. Although 1,900 yen for two bentos may seem expensive at first glance... when you eat it, you will surely be convinced of its high quality. The rugby bento, which includes croquettes, diced steak, and shrimp fry, is also recommended!! By the way, the croquette won the Croquette Grand Prix organized by the Japan Croquette Association in 2015. Thank you for the meal. Blog⇒The everyday meal of an old man in Kawachi, sometimes sake.
