Fire Bird Tenkachaya Store This day was a farewell party, and the main person wanted to eat yakitori, so we visited the nearby Fire Bird restaurant. We arrived after 8:30, so we missed the discounted set menu we were aiming for. However, they kindly said, "If you order the higher set, it's okay," so we ordered without hesitation. A drink + 4 yakitori for 770 yen! A good deal! The liver was delicious! The rest was okay. They offer free refills of cabbage and pork belly skewers, reminding me of yakitori restaurants in Fukuoka. The cabbage was delicious! Just that alone made me feel satisfied. They seemed proud of their raw tsukune. I'm not sure what makes it raw, but the one with red pickled ginger was tasty. They have 8 types of regular raw tsukune and a monthly limited edition. I think this month was miso flavor? It looked delicious, but I forgot to order it. The friendly staff told me that the owner is from Shimane, not Fukuoka. So they also offer Shimane's specialty, akaten. I tried it. It tasted different from what I remembered, but this one was tastier. Maybe because the one I had in Shimane was bought from a convenience store and eaten cold, so it felt spicier. I realized that it's much tastier when warmed up. Overall, there were no major disappointments. I can definitely recommend this place. I would love to come back if I feel like having yakitori again. Looking at the receipt in my wallet, I vaguely recall eating tulip and dashimaki. Everyone mentioned that the service from the staff was surprisingly good. I think we ended up taking the leftovers home for the junior colleague to bring back.

Hello there. It seems there is a shop in Hanazonocho as well. This time, I visited a shop in Tenkachaya. They have a special bottle called "Kokumura no Masumasu Hanjo Bottle" which contains 2.5 shou (4500ml) of shochu. The name comes from the idea of "1 shou x 2 = Masumasu = More and more" and "5 gou = Hanjo = Prosperity", wishing for more and more prosperity. The yakitori was served in a crispy assortment. I enjoyed chatting with the chef. The chicken nanban had a nice touch to it. It was cool that they had pork belly. The tsukune with cheese and pickled ginger was delicious. The staff were lively and the atmosphere in the restaurant was filled with smiles. It was a great place. If it was nearby, I would definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal. It's been a while since I went to Tenkacha! I met up with friends and went to Hino Tori. My friend who arrived earlier urged us to hurry because there was a special set until 8:30. We quickly entered and found out that it was a great deal - one drink, 4 pieces of yakitori, and a choice of side dish for only 500 yen! It was so cheap! We all ordered non-alcoholic drinks and made a toast. We had a platter of chicken sashimi, assorted tsukune, and four types of yakitori. Each yakitori came with a choice of salt or sauce, and we could split them up among ourselves. My daughter had ochazuke as a finishing touch. They also have beer and shochu, and you can even keep a bottle for next time. It's a place loved by the locals - Hino Tori. Thank you for the meal!

On the way back from Minami, I searched for a nearby restaurant and found a reasonably priced yakitori place. The menu had a variety of izakaya dishes. The small restaurant on the first floor only had counter seats, but the second floor had spacious table seating as well. The specialty of the restaurant was definitely the "tsukune" (meatballs) assortment. I ordered the omakase set with four different kinds of tsukune. Although it was described as raw tsukune, they were actually grilled. However, they were fluffy and delicious. The set came with various condiments like yuzu pepper, pickled ginger, mayonnaise, and cheese - the cheese was definitely a classic choice. I also ordered a beer and a value set of yakitori and fried potato, yukhoe pork salad, and other dishes. Each dish had a generous portion and was both affordable and tasty. Lastly, the restaurant gave my child a present of ramune and candy. There was a piece of paper attached to it, which I thought was like a fortune or saying, but it turned out to be more like a proverb. And it was given to my child, which was a bit puzzling (laughs).

Visiting restaurants in Nishinari has become more frequent! I finally went to a restaurant that I had been wanting to visit. I received a grateful invitation to a "Delicious Yakitori and Summer Gathering" on July 10th. The restaurant I visited was "Hinotori Tenkachaya Branch," where we had the entire floor to ourselves. Here are some of Hinotori's specialties: 1. Oyama Chicken: Oyama chicken is raised using a special feed made from plant-based materials, resulting in juicy and tender meat. 2. Ozone Sterilized Eggs: The eggs come from selected birds that eat minerals such as shells and seaweed, resulting in eggs that are elastic and firm. 3. Skewering: The Oyama chicken, delivered fresh every day, is carefully skewered one by one. We enjoyed a course with all-you-can-drink option, which included a variety of dishes such as Oyama chicken sashimi, Kagoshima pork shabu-shabu salad, grilled skewers, Oyama chicken tempura, Japanese omelette with the finest eggs, fried foods, Kagoshima pork with wasabi, and a collaboration with the famous Kamayaki Udon from Ichiki. To top it off, we had a birthday surprise with a special cake. The atmosphere was lively and fun, led by the cheerful Hinotori master. It was incredibly delicious and enjoyable! I casually found a drinking place and decided to go in with a friend. I'm not sure if it's a small independent shop or a chain, but the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was delicious. It was the best I've had recently. They seem to focus on chicken dishes as a yakitori shop should. The atmosphere inside was lively and bustling. There is even a second floor. Among the dishes we ordered, the "kokoro" (heart) was tender and particularly enjoyable. Also, not yakitori, but they had something called "fake Neapolitan" which was tasty. I'm not sure what makes it "fake," maybe it's the noodles? The drinks were decent too, with a variety of cocktails and shochu available. Thank you for the meal. As I was walking, I suddenly saw a sign for a yakitori restaurant and stopped to look at the menu outside. Right next to me, there was Santa Claus (lol), a young Santa girl promoting the restaurant. I thought she was a staff member in costume! We had a funny conversation, but she insisted she was just passing by and not a staff member. The restaurant had a great deal on a set menu with beer and yakitori for only 750 yen, and until 6:30 pm it was only 500 yen! I was surprised by the quality of the yakitori they served, including heart and gizzard, and the flexibility to customize the menu. The soft and fluffy tsukune was recommended by the staff and it was delicious, especially with the unique raw egg topping. The fluffy dashimaki tamago was also tasty, as well as the complimentary red pickles. The restaurant, called "Tenkachaya," had a unique menu and was not a typical chain restaurant. Overall, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and generous.

I went to a yakitori restaurant along Route 26 called "Tenkacha-ya" after hearing rumors of excellent customer service. I accidentally went to the wrong restaurant on the same street, but the friendly staff there kindly directed me to the correct place just a little further down. The taste of the food was neither exceptionally good nor bad, just average. However, the standout point was the excellent service provided by the staff. There is a coin parking lot nearby, making it convenient for those driving. I would like to visit this restaurant again in the future!

This place seemed quite interesting as I continued exploring different restaurants. I spontaneously stopped by "Firebird" for some takeout to accompany my evening drink. As soon as I entered, I noticed the shelf with bottles for regular customers. I ordered various items like tsukune, chicken skin, seseri, and chicken wings. The quality of the chicken was decent, but personally, I prefer it to be cooked a bit more. Even after taking it home and it slightly cooled down, it was still okay. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was lively, so I'm thinking of coming back with friends next time to enjoy the lively atmosphere.

A friend of mine lived near Tenkacha-ya, so I went there with his invitation. The inside of the restaurant is small, but the staff were very energetic and welcoming. I love chicken, so I tried the "tsuri no otsukuri" and "sasami no otsukuri" right away. The presentation was beautiful and made me hungry as soon as it was served. The tsuri was very fresh, no smell at all, and very delicious. The sasami was also fresh with a great texture. The staff came at the right time to ask about drinks, and I enjoyed my drink comfortably. They recommended the tsukune, so I ordered it, and it was delicious. Especially the "cheese tsukune" is recommended. Overall, the prices were reasonable, and I had a great time drinking. The energetic staff, fresh food, reasonable prices, everything was perfect. I heard they have another location, so I'm planning to visit there next time.

You can enjoy yakitori by the piece, so it's perfect for dining alone ☺️ Looking forward to the monthly special tsukune as well! The chicken is delicious, but the tsukune is outstanding. The hot pot is also amazing. Definitely worth a try!

After leaving Itoya, our group of adults arrived at the next spot, "Hi no Tori Tenkachaya." This place was spacious with two floors, and we adults were seated on the second floor, while there seemed to be a hero on the first floor. Probably got the wrong place, how lame (laughs). Now, onto the menu! We ordered a plate of 5 pancake skewers made with Japan's finest eggs, along with a drink. The yakitori was juicy and delicious, especially when paired with sweet potato shochu. It was so good, it's irresistible! We enjoyed the food and drinks, and even got some pancakes on the side. I didn't eat them, but it was a great deal.
